Inevitably Trapped With The Amorous Husband 17 Chapter 17 : Innocent Wife

The sound of splashing water can be heard throughout the very majestic and expensive bachelor suite. While Hongqi was busy in the bathroom, Xiulan was lying on the luxurious leather sofa bed and busied herself by watching a variety show on the large TV set. She was waiting for Hongqi to finish his shower.

"Do these idols really have to be this cheesy just to satisfy their fans?" Xiulan mumbled to herself while watching a live show of singing idol actresses and actors. Currently, the show is filming idols who were singing quite intimately and obviously they were only doing it for their 'easily to trick fans'.

Now the TV is showing some food commercials and it made Xiulan drool. She was really hungry and she can't do anything about her hunger.

Hongqi wouldn't let her go first to eat and blackmailed her that he will reveal to mother Song that he slept in her room last night. So she must stay in this place and dutifully wait for him.

"Selfish bastard." Xiulan cursed Hongqi in her heart.

As much as Xiulan want to reveal it to her mother so Hongqi will get a beating, she can't because her mother will beat her also.

Hongqi was taking awhile inside the bathroom so Xiulan almost dozed off. She was about to enter dreamland when she felt cold droplets of water on her legs.

She scrunches her face to a frown before she quickly open her eyes and saw Hongqi staring down at her while he was half naked and wet.

He didn't even put a towel on his head to dry his hair. He let the water from his hair drop on Xiulan's legs. Obviously, he was about to do something naughty and not good.

Xiulan was suddenly alarmed by this. Add Hongqi's sexy gaze, nakedness and his towering stature, her heart was palpitating crazily.

Because of this very alarming and explicit scene, Xiulan's body went to full self-defense mode and her legs suddenly went flying towards Hongqi's face. She accidentally kicked his jaw and Hongqi didn't have the time to dodge it.

"Ouch!" Hongqi cried out. He was taken aback by Xiulan's sudden move and he loses his balance. He didn't saw it coming that Xiulan would kick him and especially on the face. He felt like his teeth lost some of its enamel because of the sudden force on his jaw and the abrasion of his teeth were so harsh.

"Oh my God! I'm sorry. Why are you standing there like a psycho anyway?" Xiulan apologized and immediately helped him get up. But at the same time she scolded him for being a creeper.

"I was just teasing. You didn't have to kick me so hard." Hongqi pouted and acted like he was so hurt.

"Don't tease a person who is hungry. People who are hungry are like those people who lacked sleep, they are scary people to encounter." Xiulan lectured. For Xiulan, there are two types that who shouldn't be offended and if you offended these kinds of people then you will be doomed by their wrath.

"Noted, ma'am." Hongqi teasingly agreed. "I will change my clothes quickly so that you will not hurt me anymore." He added and winked at Xiulan. He quickly dashed to his room to change.

After a good ten minutes, Hongqi is now wearing very flamboyant attire. He was wearing a simple plain white shirt but he obviously left the first button to be unbuttoned and reveal his attractive chest. His scent was also magnificent and fresh for the nose. Xiualan likes this kind of scents.

His loose trousers were tan and he wore a casual white Givenchy leather snickers. Though he was wearing casual attire, a person can clearly see the super expensive brand and he looks like a high class model.

Hongqi charmingly smiled at Xiulan and pulled her hands. "Let's go, mother must be waiting for us."

"Obviously, she must be super hateful right now." Xiulan stated and rolled her eyes. They were so late for breakfast and she's not sure if her family is still in there to wait for them.

While walking towards the hotel's restaurant, some unfamiliar people would always try to greet and congratulate them. Xiulan awkwardly smile and thanked them while Hongqi only nodded.

They were now in the hallway going to the restaurant when they met sister Song Qiaohui halfway.

"Big sister." Xiulan greeted her sister and Hongqi only smiled at Qiaohui. This was the second time Hongqi met Qiaohui and he doesn't have any information about her yet. He only knows that she's the second sister.

"Baby Xiu Xiu." Qiaohui beamed and held Xiulan's hand as a sign of a big sister's affection. "Mom and the rest left already. You guys were taking so long so we ate first and left early. I just went to the toilet and they are now waiting for me in the parking lot." Qiaohui explained and her attention was only at Xiulan. She didn't bother looking at Hongqi. She seems to not like Hongqi for Xiulan.

"Ah. That's too bad." Xiulan pitied that she won't be able to eat with her mom. She won't be able to see Hongqi getting a scolding for being late. She gave Hongqi a slight hateful look before she smiled at her big sister.

Xiulan's hateful glance gave a meaning that they were late because of Hongqi. Qiaohui got the message and awkwardly laughed.

"Anyway, my dear Xiu Xiu and Hongqi, I will go first. I still have some stuff to settle in my shop." Qiaohui politely bid her farewell and left the couple.

Qiaohui is a famous patisserie and she has her own pastry shops. Just like the rest of the Song sisters, she's usually very busy because of managing her five shops. Because of her passion as a patisserie, she never had an interest in her father's company.

Xiulan sighed and sadly quietly muttered "I really wanted to eat with them."

Though Xiulan wanted to see her mom scold Hongqi, she also really wanted to eat with them. It's been awhile since she ate with her complete family. Though he sister Shuchun was not present, Qiaohui was always busy so she rarely dines with her favorite sister.

Yes, her favorite sister is Qiaohui because she always makes delicious desserts and she's not nosy like Nuo Shu.

Hongqi heard Xiulan's silent grievances. He didn't think much of it but he suddenly has a curiosity towards the Song family members. He must at least have basic information about them. He'll ask his secretary later to find some useful information about the Song family.

He must use the Song family to the extreme. Of course it took a long deliberation for him to agree on this marriage. He will try to make use of them to get the absolute control of this city and the rest. But of course he will not harm them. He will just use them for additional resource of connections.

When they entered the restaurant, the people's attention suddenly went to them and thick-faced unfamiliar people started greeting them again.

It was an exhausting walk before they manage to have a seat and ordered their food.

Xiulan was so exhausted and famish so she ordered a lot. She ordered a meal that can be eaten by three people. After all the hurdles before having her breakfast, who wouldn't get hungry and tired?

Hongqi was so surprised by Xiulan's generous orders. He inexplicably stared at Xiulan and looked at her figure, specifically her breast. Now he has an answer why they were slightly big for someone who has that kind of height. All the food she ate went there. Xiulan was only 5'2 feet and skinny.

Xiulan was busy eating her English breakfast when she noticed Hongqi's blatant staring and she caught his eyes on her chest. She squinted her eyes out of irritation and kicked Hongqi's knees to get his attention and deathly gave him a stare top stop whatever he was doing and thinking.

"Shameless man. Trying to stare at my chest in broad daylight." Xiulan cursed in her heart.

"Yah, why are you so violent. You kicked me earlier too. I'm just appreciating the woman I married." Hongqi reasoned out. But he was actually appreciating her body. But still he was appreciating her.

Xiulan didn't say anything but only gave him a warning look. They both ate in harmony after that but a handsome man who looks like he's in his late 30s wearing an expensive sleek suit suddenly greeted them.

"Xiu Xiu, I didn't know you got married yesterday. Congratulations by the way. I only knew it this morning." The handsome uncle said. He was with a woman who has a very bold red lipstick and striking eyeshadow for a day look. She looks like she's gonna party with her outfit and makeup.

"Brother Yuxian." Xiulan was surprised for a split second then smiled and greeted the handsome uncle.

She quickly glanced at his partner. "So that's the woman who snatched brother Yuxian from big sister Qiaohui." Xiulan muttered to herself. Xiulan moves her sight to his partner's hands and there was still no wedding ring. "That's odd, I thought they got married. He and sister Qiaohui divorced two years ago. Hmm…" Xiulan was now confused. She remembered that Yuxian filed a divorce because he wanted to marry this woman. But why is there no ring?

Out of all her sisters' relationships, Qiaohui and Yuxian's split was the most heartbreaking for her. It was not because Yuxian was such a dutiful husband, but Yuxian never knew that Qiaohui loves him and it hurts to know that he will never know about that. If he ever knew about it, it will be too late.

Yuxian looked at Hongqi and greeted him as well and initiated to shake his hand. "Congratulations, Young Master Xing. Our Xiu Xiu is a great girl, please treasure her."

"Attorney Meng, it's been awhile. Thank you. Of course I will treasure her." Hongqi shook Yuxian hands and endearingly glanced at Xiulan.

Xiulan awkwardly pursed her lips to a smile. "What a good actor." Xiulan thought.

"How come you know my Xiulan?" Hongqi suddenly probes. He was direct and the sudden question surprised Xiulan and Yuxian. Hongqi wanted to know why a prosecutor like Meng Yuxian has connections with an IT CEO and naive woman like Xiulan. The correlation was not there for them to have connections.

"It's so awkward to answer. Brother Yuxian is currently with his new lover." Xiulan silently cursed Hongqi for being this blunt. She quickly glanced at Yuxian's partner and saw that her expression slightly became darker.

"Ah… haha… Uhmm…" Meng Yuxian awkwardly laughed and glanced at his partner. "I'm…" he was about to answer but Xiulan took the words out of his mouth.

"He's big sister Qiaohui's ex-husband." Xiulan quietly muttered to Hongqi. It will be so awkward to introduce oneself as someone's ex-husband.

"Oh, I see… We could have been brother-in-laws." Hongqi decisively said and he looked so innocent while saying that.

Xiulan wanted to roll her eyes. "How can he be so insensitive?"

"Ahaha… yes we could have been real brothers." Meng Yuxian and played along. He looked at his partner and obviously she's becoming unconformable. "Uhm… We should go first. Please enjoy your breakfast. Congratulations again." Yuxian and his partner quickly retreated. But the woman gave a second glance to the newly weds and it made Xiulan bothered.

"The hell her problem is?" she silently murmured. Though it was not loud, Hongqi still managed to hear it and he curled his lips. Hongqi knew that Meng Yuxian's new woman is bad news.

"Meng Yuxian sure has bad taste. He wasn't able to even introduce the woman." Hongqi said and elegantly poured tea over his cup and Xiulan's cup.

"Maybe he just forgot about it." Xiulan naively said and continued eating her meal.

Hongqi curled his lips further and he thought how naive and innocent his wife. She's not aware of the bad people around her. It is quite depressing for Hongqi that he married a very innocent lady but at the same time it was a blessing.

It'll be easy for him to manipulate her but he must be cautious of the people surrounding her as well since she's very naive and innocent.
