He only married me to show her that he already moved on Chapter 17 - Seventeen: Let's go where?

As far as I remember, I was the one pulling Sandy outside the CEO's office, but now she's the one tugging my hand inside of her office.

As soon as we both stepped inside, she closed the door and I chuckled when she even locked it.

"Sit!" 

My eyes widened a bit... I looked like a dog who was being ordered by her owner to sit. Ohh.. maybe the next moment she would also want me to roll over. Arf! Arf!

"Madielyn Davis! Is there something that I need to know? Or you would want to tell me?"

I bite my lip to control my laugh. "What?" I acted innocently.

She glared at me as she put both of her hands on her h.i.p.s.

"Don't you ever what--what me Madielyn Davis! What was that in the CEO's office?"

"Ohh.. that one?" 

"Madielyn!" she pulled down her hair in frustration. And seeing her face in that state made me laugh so hard.  I really love teasing her.

"Wait, I told you I'm gonna share this to you after----"

"No! I can't wait any longer! Just go on spill it right now! My god, you almost kissed. What was that? Don't tell me...." her eyes widened before she screamed.

"Oh my God, Sandy! Lower your voice!" my face turned red as I looked outside the blurred glass panel of her office.

"Oh come on, I locked the door."

"You locked the door, yes.. but we're not in a soundproof room! What are you thinking?" I glared at her as I motioned her to go on her seat.

"Fine, sorry." she immediately walked towards her swivel chair. "Now spill it!"

"Sandy, let me remind you, this is not a real relationship, not a real engagement and not a real marriage."

"But why did you call each other 'love' earlier?"

I sighed as I looked in her round eyes before I speak.

"He wants me to call him love, I mean.. this would be our endearment term when he introduce me to his family and when we're in front of his 'so-called ex-fiancee'."

"Ohh.. but why there's a bitterness in your voice when you mentioned 'his so-called ex-fiancee'?" she mimicked my words and I frowned.

"Bitterness? What are you talking about? As I told you, this is only a 'fake' relationship." I emphasized the word 'fake' in front of her face.

"Ohh.. okay! 'fake' relationship." she put her right thumb on her chin as she nodded. "Anyway, what makes you agree? I thought you don't want to get involved with his 'so-called revenge' on his ex? So, what happened?"

I sighed again as I looked straight to the bookshelves in front of me that's why I missed the smile of amus.e.m.e.nt on her face.

"Last Saturday, the girls called me. You know.. my outlet managers. They said they want to hang out so I followed them to the mall.. and to make the story short, I encountered Mr. Wilsons and his ex-fiancee inside the mall. And that's it, it's all happened there." I explained with a shrugged.

"Ohh, Madi.. I'm going to die with your story! I want the full details, come on!"

"My God! What do you want, word for word, scene by scene or what? We're at the office Sandy, and still office hours!"

"Argh! I hate you!" she huffed as she crossed her arms over her shoulder. "Fine! But later at lunch, you're going to tell me the whole story! If you need to recite it word for word or reenact the whole scene again, I don't care! Just tell me what happened, I'm so excited!" I just rolled my eyes as she clapped her hands.

I am thinking.. if this is her reaction without knowing the whole story, then what more if I tell her that her boss kissed me and stole my first kiss?

"I have to go, I don't know if he's calling me right now." 

"Oh, okay. But Madi, promise me you're going to tell me everything at lunch!"

"Okay, okay. Bye." I rolled my eyes before I walked towards the door. "You really locked this one, huh?" I am referring to the door.

But she just laughed. "As if your office is a soundproof room." then I exited her office. Even I am in outside already, I still can hear her laugh.

Upon entering my office, I was greeted by the ring of the intercom. I immediately ran and pressed the speaker button. That was a call from the CEO's office.

"Mr. Wilsons!"

"Where are you? I've been calling you for almost an hour!" the demanding voice came from my boss.

-'Hour? I haven't even spend thirty minutes inside of Sandy's office.'-

"I'm sorry, Sir. I just get some doc.u.ments from Ms. Aguilar's office."

"You're calling me that again?"

"Huh?" I don't know what he's talking about. Calling him what?

"You're calling me Sir, again."

-'ohh..'- 

"Because we're just on the phone, Sir." I said furrowing my eyebrows. What does that mean?

"Yes, but it's only the two of us!"

"What? Don't tell me, Sir, even on the phone I have to call you 'love'?" my face scrunched in disbelief. What are we---- a real couple?

"Yes. How can you practice yourself by that?"

-'Wow! this is weird!'-

"Sir, this is a company phone. Maybe we can call that to each other if we were using our private phones."

"So, what are you saying I have to call you on your private phone every time I have something important to tell you?"

"That's not what I mean, Sir." I inhaled deeply before I continued. "Why did you call, Mr. Wilsons? Do you need anything, Sir?"

I didn't hear any answer from the other line.

"Sir?"

"Send me a copy of the latest reports submitted by the finance department."

"Okay, Sir. Anything else?"

"Nothing so far, 'love."

I gritted my teeth when I heard him laugh at the other line. He's just teasing me.

-'You want this teasing game, huh'-.

It's only 11:50 on my wristwatch when Sandy entered my office. She suddenly sit down on the chair in front of my desk with a wide smile on her face.

"Yes?" the only word that came out of my mouth.

"Lunch." she shrugged her shoulders but still having the same smile on her lips.

"Sandy, don't you have a watch on your hand? There's still ten minutes before twelve. You're so early." 

"Oh, my dearest Madi.. I won't buy that. Ten minutes...huh! If we will decide to walk from here to the Cafeteria, we will consume that ten minutes of yours."

"Wow, since when the walk from here to the cafeteria consumes up to ten minutes? Hello.. it's only three minutes and you're already there."

"Oops! Of course we're going to slow down our walk so you can start to share the other part of the story."

I rolled my eyes as she winked at me.

"I see... great! You're really smart."

"Of course------"

"Ms. Davis, let's go." she was cut off when our boss came to our view.

"Sir?" I stand up immediately after seeing him walked inside. 

"Mr. Wilsons." Sandy also stand and greet him.

"Let's go."

His face was full of seriousness and I can't help but raise my eyebrow 

"Let's go where?"

"Lunch meeting." he said casually.

"Lu-Lunch meeting?" my eyes snapped at Sandy's face. I wanted to laugh when I see her expression as if she's in the burge of crying. 

"Yes. Lunch meeting, let's go."

"But Sir, I don't remember you have a lunch meeting today on your schedule?" I am really confused where is this lunch meeting came from?

"Oh yes. It's not on the schedule, because Mr. Enriquez called me directly about this meeting today."

"Mr. Enriquez of southern project?"

"Yes. That's it." 

Why do I feel that he's not telling the truth? Since when he approved this kind of meeting without informing me to set on his schedule?

"Ohh.. Okay, Sir." 

I said nodding and looked back to Sandy who is now secretly glaring at me.

-'It's not my fault.'-

I smiled at her before I collected my things.

"So, what doc.u.ments do I need to bring, Sir?"

"No need to bring anything. They just want to have lunch with us."

"Ohhkay."  -'Lunch with us'-
