“Brother Jiang He, you're leaving seclusion again?”

In the Biyou Palace, the Daoist of Many Treasures was staring curiously at Jiang He inside his luxurious cave, which was shining with gem radiance.

Jiang He claimed that he was going into seclusion, but he ended up stepping out twice in a day… though Jiang He was the only one known to do that.

After all, after reaching this level of cultivation, was there anyone else who would not at least stay secluded for over a hundred years whenever they confined themselves?

It was common even if they stayed for thousands, or tens of thousands of years.

“I didn't return to seclusion just now. Instead, I went to the Celestial Court to ask the greatest Saint for the third fragment of the God-Killing Spear.” Jiang He smiled as he explained, before revealing why he came.

“You're going to ask the Western Sect for their fragment of the God-Killing Spear?”

The Daoist of Many Treasures appeared hesitant as he said, “Given your reputation, the Western Sect wouldn't try to make things hard for you if you asked them for it.”

“I've actually prepared some presents,” Jiang He said, inviting Many Treasures even as he flattered him. “However, I was hoping that you would come with me, Brother Many Treasures, since I'm not that close with the two Saints or the disciples of the Western Sect. You are an elder with friends across all three Realms, and you must be acquainted with disciples of the Western Sect.”

“We are acquainted, but…”

The Daoist of Many Treasures had wanted to say something, but changed his tone since Jiang He had asked, saying, “Well, of course—I'm not busy anyway, and I could come with you to the Western Sect.”

With that, both men left Biyou Palace and headed to the Spirit Mountain of the west.

They streaked through the air, and soon arrived beneath the Spirit Mountain around two hours later.

The Daoist of Many Treasures took the lead and told the disciples at the bottom of the mountain, “I'm Many Treasures of the Biyou Palace, and this is Jiang He. We've come with something to ask of the Saints—please notify your Saints immediately.”

The little monk was merely Heavenly Immortal and so, promptly darted up the Spirit Mountain when he heard that it was Many Treasures and Jiang He.

Soon, the mountain archways of mountain were wide open, and a personal disciple of the Saint of the Spirit Mountain descended.

The man was dressed in white Daoist robes and held a horsetail Whisk. He then introduced himself as Puti Zushi, who was a famous mythical figure back on Earth.

He was all smiles as he greeted Jiang He, but after some small talk he shot the Daoist of Many Treasures an angry glare.

Unhappy about that, Many Treasures asked angrily, “What's that glare for?”

“You dare set foot on Spirit Mountain?”

The Daoist of Many Treasures sneered. “The Wester Sect is not forbidden lands. Why can't I come?”

Jiang He was dumbstruck.

He was stunned right then.

There was little wonder why the Daoist of Many Treasures had acted weirdly when Jiang He asked if they were acquainted… it appeared that their acquaintance was not cordial, but a squabble.

Still, he understood after some thought.

In Earth's mythology, the Western Sect had never been friendly with the Daoist discipline. After the Investiture of the Gods, the Daoist of Many Treasures, the True Habitant of Mercy Voyages, Ju Liu Sun the Grand Mage of Soul Treasures, and other Daoist disciples all defected to the Western Sect.

According to what Jiang He knew, there were several more upheavals throughout the course of Primeval's history as well… but the threat that the Gods, Demons, and their vassal races posed united the Three Realms against the outside threat. Conflicts were small but controllable between the Daoist discipline and the Western Sect, and there had yet to be death battles.

As Puti and Many Treasures' argument escalated with signs of a fight brewing, Jiang He promptly spoke out, revealing why he came.

Puti's anger promptly faded and he smiled at Jiang He. “My master knows why you are visiting, and had ordered me to bring you our fragment of the God-Killing Spear.”

He then took out one of the fragments and gave it to Jiang He.

After accepting it, Jiang He took out a bucket of Dao Enlightenment Pellets as thanks. When Puti did not accept it, he said, “This fragment of the God-Killing Spear is worth a lot, whereas this bucket of Dao Enlightenment Pellets was merely refined by me as an afterthought. I'll feel uncomfortable if you don't take it!”

Dao Enlightenment Pellets?

Such a huge bucket?!

Stunned, Puti accept it then.

Beside him, the Daoist of Many Treasures was gaping at the crude bucket on the floor.

His pudgy formed shuddered a few times in his shock.

Jiang He noticed it, and asked, “What's wrong, Brother Many Treasures?”

Coming to his senses, the Daoist of Many Treasures asked in shock, “Every pellet in the bucket… is a Dao Enlightenment Pellet?”

“Of course!”

Jiang He exclaimed in surprise. “Just like the ones I gave you.”

He was left utterly puzzled… how could the Daoist of Many Treasures not know? Could he have quickly kept the five buckets in his Void Storage without looking?

“What the hell!”

The Daoist of Many Treasures suddenly cursed in fury. “Zhao Gongming… curse you… I'm not taking this lying down!”

Whoosh!

The Daoist of Many Treasures promptly took to the skies.

The world seemed to stir over the horizon and a huge rathole appeared in the sky.

The Daoist of Many Treasures strode out and disappeared into it.

Jiang He promptly gave chase and found that the rathole was a frightening spatial shifting technique, directly connecting the foot of the Western Sect's Spirit Mountain to the skies above Biyou Palace.

However, even after he stepped out of the rathole and whipping out a token plate to enter Biyou Palace' array, he could not find the Daoist of Many Treasures anywhere.

Catching a Jie Sect disciple passing by, Jiang He asked, “Did you see Many Treasures, Brother?”

The disciple shook his head.

Jiang He then asked, “You should know where Zhao Gongming's residence is, yes?”

Before the disciple could speak, however, an angry bellow resounded.

“Zhao Gongming! You son of a gun!”

Kaboom!

An explosion echoed in the distance.

The array outside Zhao Gongming's array was directly destroyed.

“Argh…”

“Brother Many Treasures… not the face, not the face…”

“Hear me out, hear me out!”

“That's too much, Many Treasures! It's over between us if you hit me another time! Isn't it just five buckets of Dao Enlightenment Pellets anyway? I'll return it to you!”

Twenty-four pearls rose to the air then, forming a world of its own and sealing the Daoist of Many Treasures within.

The man continued to curse away from within that world, and soon soul treasure after soul treasure slammed forward, breaking the world.

The disciples of the Biyou Palace were all shocked. All of them looked up, with some exclaiming in shock, “The Sea Calming Pearl and the Dragon Binding Rope…”

“Martial Uncle Zhao Gongming is invoking his mystic treasures…”

“Senior Brother Many Treasures is doing the same… Whoa, that's a lot of mystic treasures!”

“Hurry, hurry, who has an Echo Pearl…”

Jiang He was dumbstruck.

Those Jie Sect disciples are behaving weirdly… aren't you people worried?

Still, Jiang He had a hunch as to what had happened—Zhao Gongming must have taken off with the five buckets of Dao Enlightenment Pellets that he had given the Daoist of Many Treasures.

Well, the man deserved a beating for that.

They were all disciples of the Jie Sect anyway, so there was no worry about real violence.

Still, Jiang He soon found it boring after watching for a while.

Though both men appeared to be fighting fiercely, they were actually putting up an elaborate show, with mystic treasures flying everywhere.

The Daoist of Many Treasures was indeed incredible with his endless soul treasures, but Zhao Gongming did not lose out—his twenty-four Sea Calming Pearls turn into words that the Daoist of Many Treasures could not break.

That was when the aura of the Grandmaster of Heaven appeared as suddenly as it disappeared.

That was equal to a warning to both disciples.

“Stop it, Senior Brother!”

Zhao Gongming seethed quietly through gritted teeth. “Your five buckets is gone if the master gets involved!”

“I don't care. I'm beating you up!”

“Give me two buckets and I'll let you beat me up!”

“Dream on!”

Red-eyed, the Daoist of Many Treasures continued his assault.

“One bucket! Just one bucket!”

Zhao Gongming yelled, “Half a bucket! Half a bucket is good too…”

At the latter part, he sneakily spoke through acoustics, “Half a bucket of Dao Enlightenment Pellets, and I'll let you beat me up… since you'd given it to me anyway.”

Both men then reached an accord and quickly withdrew their mystic treasures.

However, that was when the Daoist of Many Treasures blindsided Zhao Gongming—invoking a mystic treasure after getting close, he sealed the other man's mystic powers, pinned him to the ground, and gave him a thorough trashing.

Wonderful!

Jiang He praised inwardly.

Soon, Zhao Gongming, whose face was swollen, crawled back into his hole, though the onlooking Jie Sect disciples had yet to disperse. Instead, they were grouping up and were debating fiercely about what had happened just now.

One of them had even used Echo Pearls to record the fight… the last scene of the Daoist of Many Treasures violently beating up Zhao Gongming was even made into a special edition.

Extremely thrilled, that Jie Sect disciple whispered, “Personal disciples of a Saint, fighting in a melee… infighting between Jie Sect disciples… this echo is going to be worth a hundred thousand immortal crystals, at least!”

“A hundred thousand is too cheap…”

Returning to his sealed room and heading inside his farm, he found that the first batch of mystic treasures and medicinal pellets which Dumbo and the others planted was ripe.

Weirdly, however, the mystic treasures that were either filled with sinister Demon Qi or God Auras were now all shimmering with immortal radiance after they were planted in the farm.

“They are all immortal items now?”

Jiang He appeared delighted.

He was worried that the items would become useless after planting them to earn Farm Points. However, since they were now immortal items, he could trade them with the Jie Sect after the harvest.
