Chapter 74 {Second Test}

Mom, dad, sister, Rebecca what is going? Lorenzo found himself sinking deeper, deeper, deeper, deeper, and deeper into the water. Lorenzo tried to swim up but his body wasn't allow him to swim up he couldn't help it but hold himself. He was scared is he going to die here no he can't die he has to find his family he has to become strong to find his sister and Rebecca who disappeared without saying about where she is going beside her family found her. Lorenzo's clenched jaw tightly let out a scream as lightning chaos flame appeared all over the water. But long ghostly arms grabbed on Lorenzo's arms.

"Come with us."

"We can make you up."

Lorenzo waved his hand and turned around as he stared at the creatures they had no faces the moment they screamed the silver feather lit up shining brightly scaring the faceless creatures.

Lorenzo opened his eyes and he looked around and he noticed everyone else was in deep dream as well he just finished but if it wasn't for the feather he would be a goner what is that faceless creature. Lorenzo tremble in fear because the moment he saw that faceless creature he felt like his soul and his whole body was being torn apart only the silver feather that Rebecca left him was able to save him at the right moment.

"Brother Zo, are you alright?" Lenia asked if she seemed down as well. Lorenzo grabbed her hand and he nodded his head before he leaned closer to her ear.

"Saw a faceless creature what is that."

Lenia eyes widen as she clenched her fists together how that happen she asked herself before she shook her head.They appear to be masculine creatures, with noticeable male genitalia. Their hands are fused into their faces, granting them the permanent appearance of someone who is weeping or in shock. Faceless creatures can turn into humans one wouldn't even know if they are standing next to a faceless creature.

Shapeshifting - While disguised as a civilian, the Faceless cannot be told apart from actual civilians and cannot be targeted, though it can be damaged by explosives if caught within their blast radius.
Area of Effect - A swipe from the Faceless' claws will damage everything within the 3 tiles in front of it.
Regeneration - At the end of the Alien Activity turn, the Faceless will regain a small amount of health.

But they older they are the stronger they become but it seems they aren't the only monster are being unlocked what is going on? Lenia was so busy thinking in her mind she didn't even notice Lorenzo was shaking her until she snapped out of her thoughts.

"Lenia do you know anything about Faceless Creature?"

"No," Lenia lied.

Lorenzo frowned and he pulled on Lenia cheeks.

"Lying is a bad thing A good girl can't do that."

"What will you do Brother Zo."

"Humph wait and see."

Lenia giggled and she stood up she is able to tel from true monsters, demons, and those that truly don't belong in this world. It seems like the world would turn into a blood bath sigh so annoying she thought to herself let's just enjoy our time as kids.

"Brother Zo, you need to become stronger because one day you will have to face those creatures."

"You are right I will become stronger."

Lenia nodded her head she turned around and she sat back down where she was before. Everyone else woke up few hours later in the real world two days have pasted anyone who is still dream failed the test which were two hundred people living only three hundred and fifty people. Lorenzo, Lenia, Royal, Issac, and Thea are the ones who made the cut so they didn't have to worry.

Beau appeared all the students looked up at Beau who clapped his hands.

"The three hundred and fifty people who are here have past the other and have returned back to Awage City."

"Now my job is done good luck on your second test."

All the kids looked down and saw the platform transform and dropping all the kids within a dark wall. Everyone started to shout and scream. Lorenzo looked around and found himself nervous he grabbed onto someone's hands which wasn't any of his friends as he is walking forward. Lenia felt someone who isn't Lorenzo touching her hand within a second she pulled her hand away and smacked the person so hard and stormed off. Lorenzo felt like this is odd this person isn't Lenia at all. When Lorenzo tried to pull his hand away but the girl wouldn't allow it. Lorenzo clenched his jaw and he sighed let's just wait here.

"Hehe hello little ones," A woman voice ring out and the lights appeared their was a woman in a beautiful blue dress her hair was black her eyes were pink she was sitting there with her cat and she snapped her fingers as a screen appeared in front of her she grabbed her tea cup and she stood up she released a powerful aura. Everyone dropped on the ground with such a strong aura.

"This is my spirit form kids, if it was really me you all won't be alive hehe let's get started on the second test will test everyone will we all know you guys are here to train because in the upper realm people are going to be stronger then you the question I have for everyone how strong is your will power, of course you lower realm wouldn't understand any of this I will explain it in the upper realm the most important thing. Magic-using characters will benefit from a high WP, especially if they are to confront some of the hellish creatures of other worlds, which may attempt to infiltrate their minds and distort their personalities. WP is expressed as a percentage of 01-100%. For tests, WP is a broad measure of a character's strength of character and mental resolve. It is used in tests to determine resistance to magic, hypnotism, torture, and similar situations," the woman said as she sat back down on her seat and she tapped her finger on the table.

"All I can say is they are some who have reached above 100% but we haven't seen a person in so long I stopped counting how long, second is aura power also known as aura magic."

The woman waved her hand and a large high device flat screen appeared in front of the kids.

Users can create, shape and manipulate aura, a form of life-force that exists as an invisible etheric phenomenon/emanation produced by and surrounding a person or object.

Much like the power Life-Force Manipulation, the user can manipulate this kind of energy in various ways. However, this power deals with the strength of their spiritual essence instead of the entire universe. Aura is the energy formed from one's achievement of spiritual power through extreme mental focus and strong emotions. Users of this power can increase their natural abilities, attract and repel another person's aura, sense the aura, and project it. Different types of auras are located in various parts of the physical body, such as the forehead, spine, throat, heart, and stomach. The power of aura also changes with one's mood.

Universal Differences
In some universes, aura control refers to manipulating general or a specific energy that forms around some or other living things rather than dealing with spiritual power.

They are seven different aura levels

Red (Muladhara): Deals with the physical nature of the body.
Orange (Svadhishthana): Deals with emotions.
Yellow (Manipura): Deals with self-energy and willpower.
Green (Anahata): Deals with healing.
Blue (Vishuddha): Deals with intelligence.
Indigo (Ajna): Deals with mental communication.
Violet (Sahasrara): Deals with awareness of illusions and obtaining a higher consciousness.

"Now that you understand the basic all of your aura and will power is just to weak and I am truly angry about that, but it's okay we will put you in test and see how strong you all can last, any questions?"

"Teacher can we get all the different levels of aura?"

The woman smirked as she snapped her finger.

"It takes time it took me five hundred years to finally reach to the seventh level of aura which is the highest but they are also nine stages you must breakthrough I been stuck on stage three for the past six hundred years."

"Wait you are over thousands of years!"

"Do not be shocked many people in the upper realm are much older then I am actually and much stronger if you thought I was strong just wait when you meet the others from different realms. Now let's get started with the test it's simple actually all I want you guys to do is tand there for forty-eight hours hold in everything if you are able to do what you pass."

"Let's get started by the way it means you can't move not all you can use your powers if you want but I wonder how long can one last?" The woman said with a chuckle the moment she snapped her fingers poison spirit animals appeared in front of the kids.

"I understand this test?" Issac said.

"Spill it you idiot!" Thea snapped.

"She said we must stand for forty-eight hours am I right, which means going two days without food is truly a no go for us, but she has never said that we couldn't flout in the air use our spirit form to grab food."

"Are you trying to say you want to cheat?" Thea snapped at her twin brother she hissed at her like a snake.

"Of course not I just wanted to show you how much it will be fun?"

"Fun! How is this going to be fun, never mind stupid brother of mine let's just stand here."

"I agree with Issac she never said we couldn't use spirit form illusion or anything else she said stand there for forty-eights without moving she also said we can use our powers did she not? I know an illusion spell, the bodies would look just like us and act like us but it will take lots of energy out of me so for the next three hours what I want you guys to do is make sure those poison snakes or and animals don't near me alright?" Lenia said.

"Be careful Sister Lenia," Thea said.

"Don't die if you die we will be at your funeral what do you like white flowers, red flowers, pink flowers, blue-"

"How about I just end you here and see who wants to beat whom! I learned a new spell Royal want me to try it on you?" Lenia asked in a gentle yet frightening tone she had a sweet smile on her face and everyone felt chills run down their backs. Everyone knows that Lenia a type of person who will stay out of people business she doesn't like people asking her about personal question nor does she do the same to others, she minds her own business but everyone knows that Lenia and Royal are like fire and water they just can't get along and they always fight over Lorenzo so he is always the person in the middle of the fights.

"Humph Brother Lorenzo will save me"

"He will not I won't allow him, Brother Zo is my brother now."

"He was my brother first."

"Stop! My goodness Royal stopped making trouble!" Lorenzo snapped at Royal who gasped touched his heart and looked away.

"So you favor me humph so angry."

"Boo hoo cry me a river, Royal Sister Lenia is stronger, smarter, and more powerful then you if you can beat her we will all kneel down and call you Senior Brother and be a captain," Thea said as she grinned happily.

"Never mind I will be quiet."

"Thought so," Thea said right back.

Lenia started drawing a large magic spell in the air she didn't chant any magic spells. Thea mind was blown away she thought she knew Lenia but she actually knows Rune Magic a magic that has been dead for hundred of millions of years no one truly understand Rune Magic not just that those who do only understand low grade for herself. She a low grade Rune Magic Users so she knows what Lenia is doing this and for her not to use any words or chant them out it means her Rune Magic grade is extremely high but how high?

From what billions of people have seen, Rune Magic involves words given visual form. You can engrave these words onto items to increase their magical power or embed spells.

Because of this Rune Magic can do any magic from enchantment to elemental.

Besides items, you can draw or summon runes from thin air if you know them by heart.

These magical words are almost always in the form of symbols.

These words and symbols represents concepts found in the natural world like:

Elements
People
Animals
Concepts like Strength, Speed, Defense, etc
The very concept of magic itself
More abstract concepts like time, emotion, order, chaos, ect.
Cosmic Phenomenon
This leads us to the weaknesses of Rune Magic.

Since it tends to be ancient and hard to decipher, Rune Magic becomes hard to use.

Couple this with the fact that it can sometime have longer casting times.

I wouldn’t blame you for thinking that it’s only used for the cool factor and tradition.

Despite that, once you overcome the steep learning curve you’ll find that Rune Magic can be extremely versatile and powerful.

The longer casting times can be overcome with prep or putting them on your equipment or body.

Each rune symbol (Which the writer can just make up) can mean anything.

Combining runes can lead to unique and varied effects.

The way it manifests is also determined by the user’s subconscious.

That’s right, this magic can link directly to the imagination which is usually a sign of higher level magic.

All of this makes Rune Magic very powerful but it requires work and knowledge to use efficiently.

Other magic types outpace Novice Rune Mages making this a slow starter.

Rune Magic’s place in World-building

This is another type of magic that would have a noticeable effect on the world.

Normally, Rune Magic is either very rare or the magic is ancient because it’s hard to learn and pass on.

Because of it’s symbolic nature, Rune Magic is usually practiced by the people that grew up with it in their culture.

This makes it rarer but very important to any character linked to that culture.

Rune Magic can even have a link to the language of culture.

Rune Magic could’ve been their original language thus giving the magic even more importance in their culture and story.

Finally, if enchantment magic is not common or does not exist Rune Magic would be its replacement.

This makes Rune Magic users a sought after resource for armies.

In Thea honesty she truly didn't think Lenia had much more secrets she could hide after all she is able to control seven Element Ra it already made her a true genius even above true genius now she knows this she is truly the sister Thea always wanted. She was so happy as she watched Lenia finish her Rune Magic after she was done she snapped her fingers and five figures appeared in front the kids. Each of the future looked like the real people in front of them. Everyone else moved and they rushed off to play around.

"We have two days to kill what should we do?" Lorenzo asked.

"Brother Zo, I want ice cream."

"Alright let's get ice cream then," Lorenzo said as he smiled at Lenia who grinned happily.
