Chapter 39 {Tactical Officer}

Two weeks passed by like a flying bird it was an early morning. Lorenzo decided to go to the blacksmith department to turn in his task work he has been working on at night. When he walked inside he let out yawn he saw Elena who turned around she stormed over toward him. Lorenzo really didn't have the time to fight with anyone at the moment all he wanted to do was turn in his work.

"Little junior brother you are here what is in that box."

"My work."

"Perfect my grandfather, and my father are in the testing room!" Elena shouted as she grabbed Lorenzo by hand and dragged him away without allowing him to talk to Brother Grady who waved him bye. Lorenzo sighed he didn't understand this girl and she goes to Midnight Elite Academy but still she is a person who loves blacksmith like him he nodded his head happy and proud.

"Oh by the way from now on call me Senior Sister Elena."

"Yes Senior Sister Elena."

Elena was a beauty for a twelve year old she had long yellowish golden blonde her eyes were like her mother which were copper. She slammed the door open as she covered her ears she kept on dragging Lorenzo along.

"Father, Grandpa this is the person dad was talking about, Lorenzo."

An old man's eyes narrowed as he stared at Lorenzo who looked at him. Lorenzo bowed his head this man is so powerful just by his eyes he felt threatened.

"Ah hello lad my name is Riko," the old man said.

"Nice to meet you sir."

"Haha so what is in your box?"

"Oh I have two boxes sir, one is for my technology engineering work, the other is my blacksmith so all my work and the task I took is done."

Tyson walked over and touched Lorenzo on the shoulder this boy his such a genius his work is already getting a name out there.

"Do you want the money from your work."

"Huh no I am grateful you guys even sell them so keep it," Lorenzo said.

"Haha such a kind lad, I am nine hundred and forty-nine years old and I have never seen such a genius like you, I am a Divine Technology Engineering Master I saw your work kid I would like to take you in as my disciple."

"But sir my mind is on blacksmith I do technology engineering as a hobby."

"Haha, I like you it doesn't matter you can do both, ask this man who does both."

Tyson chuckled.

"Lorenzo his not wrong I am both a blacksmith and a technology, in my over all profession it would be blacksmith in a heart beat and that's where my mind and work went no matter what that's why I am a every well known blacksmith but on the side I do technology engineering everyone knows my work and my rank is at a 13 which is extremely high not many reach that high in technology engineering even though my heart loves blacksmith creating something new is something that I have always loved. Plus this will help you in a long run you want to be a spaceship pilot this man owns a spaceship, he taught my two kids how to drive a spaceship, he can teach you and take you on rides if you want, but dad don't you need technology engineering masters?"

"Yes Lorenzo, Technology engineering masters are truly rare after the disappearance of Hendrix Gray, no one could out match his technology engineering master. He was the first person to ever reach Heavenly Divine Technology Engineering Master no one has ever reached his level not even I can ever reach that level but if you want to be a spaceship you need all kinds of people and people with not just powerful Warrior Spirit, guardian animal, or even Element Ra but have talent with their hands if a spaceship breaks down you need someone to fix it. It's best to have someone who understands all different types of spaceship but also how work with the technology you would need a blacksmith at list two three of them at most, two technology masters it's best if you are one yourself, you will need a strategist that helps the commander with a plan for anything that comes next, they are a lot of thing you will need here let me show you," Riko said as he waved his hand he wrote everything that he could think of.

Main Hull

This is the main body of the ship. On most ships, this is where the decks are in. Some ships may be built entirely in a solid hull. On other ships modular sections are used for the sake of versatility (or quick disposal) with atomic engines and chemical thrusters designed separate from the hull for this reason. Military ships are usually designed with sub-sections to maximize survivability. If one section is heavily damaged the rest of the ship can still function. Sub-sections are usually made up of a Forward Section, a Mid-Section (sometimes, an Upper and Lower Mid-Section), and an Aft Section.

Engine Nacelle(s)

Ion drives are safe enough to be incorporated into the main hull. Atomic engines and chemical thrusters are designed to be separate from the main hull, so they can be jettisoned in the case of an emergency. In the case of chemical thrusters, the fuel can be highly combustible and an explosion could send fragmentation into the main hull. Atomic engines don't explode as they do in novels, but when they are damaged or suffer a meltdown they must be disengaged from the hull or they will flood the decks with dangerous levels of radiation. For this reason nacelles are usually mounted on struts with demolition charges to blast them free of the rest of the ship.

It is generally assumed that a self-destructing ship triggers the explosion by causing a nuclear chain-reaction within it's own engines, but atomic engines are not built to do that. Self-destruction is actually caused by arming one or more of the ship's torpedoes, with the ship's hull contributing additional mass.

Modular Sections

Modular sections are built independently of the main hull. Modular sections facilitate the quick removal or attachment of specialized equipment and systems for the sake of versatility, quick repairs or disposal. In most cases, these are modular cargo bins used by freighters, while others allow the introduction of new or different weapons systems. As useful as these sections are, military ships generally avoid them because of their vulnerable nature. The risk of these sections is that they are prone to becoming fused into place, blown off, or cut off from the ship's power and control systems from damage. The only exception to this are the transport bins used by Assault Transports.
Not all ships share the exact-same layout, but there are typical arrangements. There will be a Bridge on the next-to uppermost deck with an

Observation Dome/Deck above it (used by astrogators to plot a course). Engineering is normally the lowest deck, and decks related to various ships' functions (quarters, labs, cargo, etc) are stacked between them.

"Don't worry I won't allow it but this is his biggest dream I did my dream it's that boy turn."

"Now a crew, Unless the ship is a drone (controlled by computers) spaceships need crew to operate. The military is more regimented than the private sector, as military personnel have to deal with combat situations. Privately owned ships tend to have a more casual structure."

Command Crew

Captain - Acts as the Tactical Officer.
First Officer - Acts as the primary pilot.
Astrogator - Calculates course for Jump, acts as secondary Communications Officer.
Communications and Operations Officer - As nerve-center of the ship.
Gunner - Controls the ship's weapons.
Chief Engineer - Controls the ship's power and engine.
Security Officer - Leads the Marines.
Fighter Pilot
Personnel

Technician - Makes repairs to the ship.
Marine - Deals with boarding actions.
Fight Crew - Makes repairs to fighters.

Civilian
Captain - Acts as the primary pilot. (usually the ship's owner)
First Mate - Acts as a secondary pilot or operations officer. (usually the a co-owner)
Astrogator - Also acts as a secondary operations officer. (maybe a co-owner or freelancer)
Engineer (maybe a co-owner)
Gunner (only found on armed ships)
Crewman - They are usually unskilled staff or specialists (almost always an employee or owner's relative)

"I still don't understand what a Tactical Officer is?" Lorenzo asked.

"Tactical Officer an officer stationed at the tactical station who was in control of all ship- and station-based weapons systems. The tactical officer's duties were to maintain battle readiness of the ship and crew. Pretty much you run the crew you are in charge of whatever you say goes."

"Amazing."

"How about this winter breaks comes up you can come to one of my spaceships and see how everything works."

"You aren't playing with me!?"

"Nope."

"Alright I am excited for that day," Lorenzo said as he jumped from the chair and ran off. He was so excited he couldn't believe this he will be flying on a spaceship in just a few months that is just the most exciting news a little boy himself can get.

"Dad you can't steal him away from me."

"Son, you are stupid do you think I can take such a genius away, anyway he will be a good leader in battle spaceship master you know how competitive it is to be a spaceship Tactical Officer he needs to learn young."

"I will be coming with you with Sullivan."

"sure don't mind don't mind at all, but can you handle your mother?"

Tyson looked away that's a different story.
