[格局] I originally translated it as 'framework', but then felt the term was too vague. It means more along the lines of 'the state of a structured framework or situation'. The best way to describe the title's meaning is to imagine in the middle of a chess match with all the pieces laid out, and you are able to predict or see a pattern in the structure, but then suddenly something unexpected happens that disrupts that pattern.
