"Those two bags are free not the rest of my stock."

"I never expected to get it for free. How about this, give me some time and I will come and collect it. How much would a bag be?"

"Two ducats for the saltpeter and one for sulfur."

"Now, do you know of a location where I can get Hellfire flower."

She abruptly turned her head to see who it was only to find that it was Annixon. She calmed down almost immediately, "Oh, its just you."

"Hiya, little Maania. This is a bag of saltpeter and sulfur…oh and here is a small batch of hellfire flower. Could you please…?"

"Yeah fine, whatever. I was bored in any case. When do you want it?"

"As soon as possible. Just don't rush, you know how unstable hellfire powder is."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I helped last time, remember?"

He placed his hand on her head and rubbed it vigorously, "That's my girl."

She blushed lightly and turned her head away, and scoffed, "I only do it because I am bored."

He turned and nearly ran into Naitra. Naitra smiled, "You know that you are the only human who is allowed to touch her like that. You have made a big impression on her."

"She has a funny way of showing it."

"Kid, I know you are not that blind."

"In all honesty, I just wish she would mellow out towards the others too."

Naitra gave him a genuine smile, "Treat her like you always treat her. Show her the goodness of humanity, and set her free from the curse that plagues her.

Annixon grimaced, "You mean Louis. I still need to speak to Anastacia about that."

"I ain't saying you should do it now. It is a sensitive subject for a child to lose her parents. The problem I have is him attacking this city to try and get to her. He is a lord after all. He has a much stronger fighting force."

"You worry too much. By the end of this day, I will have set something in motion that would make in the army he sent a whimsical pest."

"Ever the thinker. Curious to know what you are going to do next."

"All in due time Naitra, but for now I take my leave."

They both gave each other a polite nod.

Annixon ran towards the blacksmith's building.

He doesn't bother to knock and just opened the door. A blade was incoming, but Annixon easily evaded it, "Geeze girl, learn some prudence."

"Ha, customers should wait outside."

He bends down to face her and gave her a quick peck on her forehead, "Cute girl. What's your name by the way?"

"Karuli, and we never did get your name last time."

"Annixon Bright…I hope you heard that old man."

The old man dwarf was standing behind them, "Flashy what you did today. Could almost say I was slightly impressed."

"Why thank you. I do try and be the center of everyone's affection."

"I know you are joking but that's just creepy."

"All jokes aside. Karuli could you get me some paper and some writing material."

Karuli saluted and did what he asked. He took the paper and with relative accuracy, he drew something that looked like an old cannon. One the other papers he drew some gears and something that looked like a roller of some sort and some extra odds and ends. He also added the dimensions afterward

D'verg looked on in curiosity, "What are these atrocities?"

"This one here is cannon. I want you to cast this one first. Do you think it's possible?"

He looked at the drawings, "It's a bit difficult with the equipment I've got, but I think I should be able to produce it. How quickly do you need it."

"This is my first official step to arm ourselves. So the quicker the better."

"This will cost you."

"How much?"

"The labor is one thing but the material is another. I would say about twenty-five ducats."

He takes out the money and placed it on the table. Dver'g looked at the money and continued, "You will have to help with it as well. No offense little brat, but she isn't capable of picking up a hammer let alone this monstrosity."

"Of course I wouldn't have it any other way."

"What are the rest?"

"It's a design for a roller system."

"Oh, do tell."

"It will be able to make you a massive amount of plates for armor or whatever reason."

"Really?. Now, this I something I can use. But why plate?"

"I need the plate for a container. And it needs to be a certain size. Where can I find a good glass-maker?"

"I can set you up with somebody I know personally. We worked together on some jobs…"

A man bursts through the door, "I demand to see master D'verg!"

This annoyed D'verg greatly. Annixon noticed this, "I will handle him. I sensed a certain urgency in his voice."

Annixon walked up to the man, "What can I do for you, my friend?"

"You are not master D'verg get out of my face commoner!"

A glow of green runes formed on his arm, "I guess I will have to make myself more clear. How can I be of service, and please don't make me lose my temper?"

The man remembered information about a dangerous battlemage that happened to be in the city, "You? Why are you here?"

Annixon was starting to lose his patience, "I said how can I be of service?"
