They sat on a random rock, waiting for somebody who wanted to walk. Joshua was getting impatient, "It's been an hour. Nothing is happening. Are we even sure that this is a Siren?"

Annixon gave him a pondering look, "Well, I am about seventy-five percent sure. Let's try this. All females go hide or at least cover a far enough distance from us. Keep that distance until you see us going into a cave, borrow or even a cliff. Better spark after that."

Joshua was a bit perplexed, "Why would Sirens only go after males

There were about seven females in the group that included Sinah.

Annixon took a sip of water, "I think it's actually gotta do with the brain's physiology. Females' brains tend to have more grey matter. This, in turn, results in the male brain being an easier choice to manipulate. Males also tend to have more muscle on their bodies, which means more protein for a Siren. "Why what's the problem!" He wasn't aware of the urgency of the situation. Dammit, he was going to punch that oaf when all this was over.

He pointed his finger in the direction he heard the sound. If he was standing still so would Joshua. A shot of lightning punched straight towards Joshua, even with his eyes closed.

Joshua turned towards Annixon, "I should punch your lights out for that!"

"Now is not the time! You should have the full function of your motor skills! Punch that god damn thing in front of you."

"And why the hell would I do that! She is a goddess among goddesses."

JOSHUA!!! That pig-headed ignoramus! The only thing he is good for was a punching bag.

Annixon's body didn't want to listen to him. Something fell on his shoulder. He opened his eyes.

What he saw was the most adorable child. He wanted to take care of her. Protect her. Kill anyone or anything that wanted to harm her. Then it bit into his arm.

Blood gushed out but all that he could do was pet the child on the head.

A knife suddenly appeared through the child's throat. This enraged Annixon. He twisted on the spot and sent a backhand towards the assassin. He stopped right before it could connect.

Fear showed in Sinah's eyes. The fist was barely a hair's breadth away. His fist turned into an open palm. He pulled her in with a hug, "Man am I glad to see you guys."

"Annixon, now is not the time for that."

"Right, Joshua is a moron. I will handle him."

He knew he couldn't fight the sirens but he could at least suppress Joshua, but he was still under the Siren's influence.

The girls rained arrows from the entrance, but the sirens were incredibly agile.

Joshua roared, "Why are you attacking my beautiful maidens!"

Annixon smiled he just needed to provoke him, "They didn't, I told them too, remember?"

Annixon eyes were closed once again.

"You will pay for that Annixon!"

Good, this worked out perfectly. He just needed Sinah to take out the Siren in front of Joshua, "Sinah, take that…thing out in front of Joshua. He is still being manipulated."

A painful sting hit Annixon in the face. Joshua punched him hard enough to stagger Annixon.

Annixon rubbed his jaw, still with closed eyes. He smiled and said, "That all you got. My sister could hit harder, Joshi boy."

Annixon crouched and placed his hand on the ground. He sensed all sorts of vibrations with the ensuing ruckles. The only reason he did it was to feel for the worst ruckus.

Annixon jumped backward. Joshua was one him and swung but missed. This happened a few times until his back was against the wall.

He had to momentarily open his eyes just as the fist of Joshua came in. He dodged by going down, but Joshua was adapted to fighting and kneed him in the face bringing him face to face with Joshua's monstrous punch.
