The Rise of Annixon Bright 43 Valliant versus Annixon

Valiant charged with a red glowing blade and slashed before he could even reach Annixon. A fiery flame wall charged towards Annixon instead. Annixon gracefully sidestepped. This time the blade glowed green with runes. A multi-elemental tool. It took Annixon by surprise but not too much.

Valiant suddenly sped forwards. Annixon used a small bit of magic in the hilt of his blade and struck the blade of Valiant itself. It sent powerful shock-waves going through the blade into the hilt. It numbed Valiant's hands. The blade started to turn red again but Annixon gently tapped the blade as an unusual script formed on the blade itself.

Annixon jumped back and said, "I am wide open. Go on, use that flamey thing of yours."

Valiant was cautious of the script. So, he decided to go with water, but as soon as he did it blew up sending water into all directions.

Annixon spun around in the falling water, finally a cool shower. All this fighting was making him hot, "Well, what's next to the wind thing? I am rather soaking wet, being dry would be nice too."

Valiant squirted some water out of his moth. He was not expecting that. For once he hesitated using magic, but he still was no slouch.

He removed a second blade. Annixon made a quick evaluation of the blade and found it was nothing special. A rather high-quality blade though. Valiant smiled He had fought some though cookies in his life before, but this man started to excite him. Rarely did he get excited in battle, "You made me draw my second blade. Rarely have I found someone worthy of my second blade."

Annixon mentioned with his hand like a sock puppet, "Blah, blah, blah sorry to tell you but you aren't coming close to exciting me. I had more fun when I had to tango with a silly Kraken. Pity that I had to kill it."

"Your mind games aren't going to work. Especially with that obviously blatant lie."

Annixon smiled, "You're not very smart, are you? Someday I will tell you all about it, but I wasn't lying when I said that I have killed a Kraken. Kind of easy once you know its weakness."

Valiant shook his head and charged with both swords.

Annixon sheathed his blade and exploded with fire in the one hand and lightning in the other. This made Valiant stop dead in his tracks. The bloody bastard was a gods damn BATTLE MAGE!!!

Annixon noticed this and slowly doused the flow arts, "Well, don't tell me you are afraid of me all of a sudden."

Valiant was stomping his foot on the ground. This didn't make sense to him. There was never any information about a Battle Mage in the city. Why is there a battle mage in the city?! Why did that stupid kid have to pick a fight with someone like a battle-mage!?

Annixon relaxed completely, "Look, I don't even need to use my magic to kick your ass. So, let's make it fair. I will tell you exactly how you are going to lose with the next charge."

Valiant eyed the man, there was something off about him. What did he do to his blade, for one? Why is he so cocky? It was an incredible amount of confidence like he wasn't even in his league. Was that even possible?! "Oh please, go ahead humor me."

"You are going to do a double overhead slash. I will grab your hands to stop you from moving. You will try to knee me, but by then your other leg will have been broken. In all honesty, you're a sitting duck. Now because I told you this, you're going to try something else. Now, that I told you that, you're second-guessing yourself. Look, just spare me your jibber-jabber. I just want the kid. Don't worry I won't kill him. I'll just put the fear of god in him."

Valiant just stood there in a battle stance. Everything he said was true. Annixon continued walking and passed Valiant. Valiant could only stand there. This day he met his match. The world was a truly huge place to contain such people.

Annixon walked right up to Alexey who pissed himself when he saw him coming towards him, "Don't worry kid. It will hurt for a bit then it will be over. I am going to brake two of your ribs. I hope this day you have learned a lesson. Do not pick up girls against their will. Next time I won't be so forgiving. Also, consider everyone here is under my protection. Got it?"

Alexey vigorously nodded his head. Annixon pulled back and punched him straight into his ribs. Alexey could feel his ribs breaking. The pain was agonizing. He could barely breathe.

Valiant couldn't move, his arms fell to his side. He has failed as the captain of the guard. His most important charge was to protect Alexey from harm. How was he going to face the Baron, but on the other hand that moronic kid had it coming? It's about high time someone put him in his place. Suddenly he was torn between duty and responsibility. He shrugged, "Every one of you soldiers here. The Baron's son fell and hurt himself badly, you got that!?"

Everyone didn't hesitate to follow his order.

Annixon stretched his muscles and felt the bunch of stings on his body. He got clipped a few times after all. He wasn't a superhuman after all.

He went back to the girls. Sinah slapped her own forehead. She kind of knew this was going to happen, "Why didn't the imbecile listen?"

"I heard that. You make it sound like I am a true villain. The real crime is when good people do nothing. Not in my nature."

"We weren't worried about them or that idiot. We were worried about the retaliation, and what you will have to do in the future. We live here now, or did you forget."

"Ah, yes all valid arguments, but here is the thing. Take a look around. The people loved the spectacle of the baron's son getting his just desserts. That is step one for winning the hearts of the people. I also knew that the guards weren't going to do much after my little display. You know that was two birds one stone kind of thing, but you will see soon enough what I mean."
