Chapter 64: The Past Cannot Be Undone

Elder Li was no longer in his weakened state, not like he was when he’d just awoken a few years back. With the spirit of a 10,000 year old cultivator, his power was gradually replenished with Yuan Chu’s support, and was currently equivalent to the Mid Level of the Core Formation realm. If he simply attacks a cultivator’s spiritual sense, that person will then have no choice but to flee with their spiritual Qi.

As Ye Chen Yuan stood amidst the flames, his pure white clothes fluttered as a strong wind passed, his expression remaining unchanged all throughout.

“Mon-monster!”  

Someone cried out in distress and fear. The Ye family which was supposed to be enjoying a good show were suddenly the ones suffering in calamity. Every single person took to their heels and the last boy tripped on his way. Only he was left whimpering on the grass. Like a ghost, Ye Chen Yuan slowly approached from behind.

“You, you are Ye Xu?”

Ye Chen Yuan looked to him with a calm smile. When he was a child living in this manor, he was simply at the Fifth Level of Qi Condensation. His family refused to offer him a Qi Enhancement Pill because they didn’t want him to cultivate Qi into his body. 

In those years without Spiritual Qi, apart from spending time reading as a hobby, he spent his time, and if he had a choice in the matter he would rather have not, being humiliated and bullied by these people.

The person in front of him, Ye Xu, was one of those who’d humiliate and bully him back then. But corporal things like punching and kicking are trivial. Yet he especially remembers the sole thing ever able to enrage him in all his childhood. After his mother had left, the only aunt who had continued to gingerly take care of him was severely injured by the Grand Elder of the House. Later, his aunt passed away due to the severity of her injuries, loss of blood, and malnutrition. Every single person in the Ye family was a murderer.

Before Ye Chen Yuan met his master, he drove himself to the utmost of his abilities to cultivate, desperately hoping that someday he could slaughter all the people in this house!

But now that he’s finally come back, he suddenly felt that these people weren’t even worth a single glance, they held not a smidgen of value.

No matter who a person lived as, whether they were the most kind or evil, a life could be taken away in an instant. The woman who so gently cared for him back then can never be brought back to life.

When Ye Xu saw Ye Chen Yuan’s callous and cold-blooded expression, he was so terrified he nearly wet his pants!

“Ye…Ye Chen Yuan, no, young master Ye!”  Ye Xu violently shook as he called his name, “I had nothing to do with what happened back then, don’t blame me! It’s all because of the Grand Elder! It’s him who said that you’re the greatest shame of the Ye Family and that we could treat you as we wished! It was him who said it!”

Ye Chen Yuan looked at him condescendingly, his overly handsome face completely rigid and unfeeling.

The old, powerful voice came with the suppression of a late-stage Core Formation expert. If Ye Chen Yuan was a general Foundation Building cultivator, he would feel the suppression as well, but he did not. The Core Formation suppression was nothing worth mentioning to him.

A lean old man with a completely white beard and hair strode forward. At this time, Gu Qing Ke would be idiotic if she didn’t know about Ye Chen Yuan’s overwhelming strength and his devastating suppression, but no matter how formidable he was, he couldn’t be more powerful than Ye Lei and Grand Elder Ye Baichuan who held the advantage of age and experience over his head. Grand Elder was in the late-stage Core Formation realm. If it weren’t for his exceedingly high cultivation, then he wouldn’t even bother to stay behind and guard the house.

Ye Chen Yuan spotted Gu Qing Ke’s injured shoulder, and recognized that a lot of blood was seeping out from the wound. He frowned slightly and fed her a Healing Remedy Pill.

“Thank you for your past and present actions. This next thing, I will solve myself. You don’t have to worry any longer.”

The firmness of Ye Chen Yuan’s voice bore no argument, and so he placed Gu Qing Ke onto a stone bench a distance away from the center of conflict.

Observing his back as he slowly walked away, Gu Qing Ke hurriedly tugged on his arm and stuffed a jade tablet into his hand before pushing him to leave.

“The jade tablet you’re holding can resist the full blow of a Core Formation expert. You have to be careful, and flee if you must! Don’t worry about me, the Ye Family wouldn’t dare to mistreat me!”

Unable to say anything more, Ye Chen Yuan nodded understandingly, and then strode towards Ye Baichuan. If he wasn’t absolutely sure, he wouldn’t dare to come to the Ye pavilion alone in the first place.

Ye Baichuan stood before the eyes of every person in the manor. Because every other promising cultivator among the Ye family was currently in the First Rank countries, he was forced to be the sole person able to come out and personally protect the house.
