 Chapter 41 - Substitute Carry-On Grandpa  

Fang Die was very happy hearing his words. The two a bit more before they reluctantly took their leave. Ye Chenyuan watched as they left. Their figures supported each other as they walked into the distance. For some reason, a new longing was kindled in his heart.

—Wouldn’t it be great if, one day, he could be so close to Master, walking side by side?

Yuan Chu was already asleep when Ye Chenyuan returned to the Sky Pearl. She lay sleeping on a warm jade. The warm spring water soaked into her skin made it ever more pure and glowing with moisture. It looked so soft that one wanted to take a bite of it.

“Is Master alright?” Ye Chenyuan asked Venerable Li.

He snorted. “Don’t worry! A villain like her is unkillable!”

Ye Chenyuan smiled faintly. He sat next to Yuan Chu to meditate. But before he did, he couldn’t help thinking to himself, deeply moved. This period of time had passed so effortlessly and wonderfully. The days he used to have to fight for resources and escape death were over. It was just like a dream. He used to be able to see cold in the world in every moment, seeing the defensiveness and killing intent in everyone.

But now, it was different. With Yuan Chu here, he felt a continual warmth of humanity. Because of her beauty, through her, he saw even more beauty.

It was so good with her around.

Three days had already passed by the time they returned to the sect. Once the sect master knew Yuan Chu had destroyed someone’s family in the process of giving them birthday felicitations… he was, for once, speechless.

With this, he turned and disappeared.

That’s it? Yuan Chu blanked. She ran so far, yet she didn’t get any reward.

Yuan Chu was very dissatisfied with this result. Ye Chenyuan saw her defeated face and thought the sect master yelled at her.

Yuan Chu recovered immediately upon hearing this. Her eyes shone at him.

“Little Yuan Yuan, I knew you were the best! I want two!”

Venerable Li silently swallowed a mouthful of blood. For some reason, he had a feeling that if Ye Chenyuan kept mingling with Yuan Chu, she’d lead him astray. Could this child still be saved?!

Soon, three day had passed. It was a dark and windy night when Yuan Chu ran away with Ye Chenyuan...

But when she saw Ye Chenyuan lagging behind, she turned her flying sword around, frowning.

Then, Ye Chenyuan disappeared from in front of Yuan Chu. Venerable Li was so angry he gritted his teeth. He was the one who felt it first!

And yet another day, Ye Chenyuan was buying medicinal ingredients at the market. Suddenly, Venerable Li’s spirit shook!

“I’m right! I sense something! There’s a treasure…”

Who could have known that before he could finish speaking, Yuan Chu grabbed a black object and asked, “Boss, how much is this?”

The boss noticed Yuan Chu’s unusual temperament and prepared to give her a high price. In the next instant, a spirit stone crashed down on his booth.

“One spirit stone. If you don’t sell, I’ll beat you up!”

The chubby boss wanted to cry, but no tears came. He looked at her, eyes full of fear. “The manager will arrest you for fighting in the market! This is coerced trading!”

Yuan Chu gave him a toothy grin. “I’m a Nascent Soul! The one in charge of this market is only at Core Formation. I’ll beat him up the same if he comes over. So, are you selling?”

Yuan Chu released her pressure. The Nascent Soul power made the chubby boss throw himself at her feet, his attitude a complete turnaround.

“Take it! Please come again!”
