Chapter 36 - Danger Everywhere  

“What are you afraid of?” Although she seemed to be trapped by illusions, Yuan Chu’s voice was very carefree. Only, there was a trace of inadvertent danger in this carefreeness.

“Zhou Daofu is old. If I make a move now and he self-destructs, no one will escape, so I have to wait.”

“How long will you wait?” Venerable Li couldn’t help asking.

Hearing Venerable Li’s words, Ye Chenyuan struggled fiercely against the seal Zhou Daofu had placed on him! Somehow, a crack appeared in the seal, which could even bind a Nascent Soul.

And Yuan Chu’s voice was still relaxed.

“It might be a little dangerous…”

She licked her lips. “But I have complete confidence I can reverse his control on me and keep him from self-destructing, killing him!”

With this, she cut off her connection to Venerable Li, for Zhou Daofu had already flown to her.

When he saw her closed eyes and tender skin, a depraved look appeared in his eyes. His hand stroked her cheeks, and he sighed. “This old one has never tried such a tender doll before. I wonder how she’ll taste.”

He moved boldly because he knew how effective the spiritual tea was. He was not the least bit afraid Yuan Chu would wake up.

In his mind, he asked, abnormally calm, “If the seal on the Divine Emperor Bloodline is broken, can I kill him?”

Hearing this, Venerable Li was going to be angered to death by this master and disciple pair!

“Are you crazy?! Yuan Chu is in danger, so you’re going to put yourself in danger as well? The Divine Emperor Bloodline is powerful, but you’re only at Qi Refining right now! If you break the seal now, the first to self-destruct will be you!”

Was he supposed to just watch his master be in danger?

The red trigram formation around them glowed scarlet. A red light enveloped Yuan Chu. She couldn’t move.

Zhou Daofu was not using the Zhou family’s absorbing method which was beneficial for both sides. This was the kind that demonic cultivators used. It was an absorbing method that would suck someone dry! Yuan Chu closed her eyes as if she wasn’t going to resist. Even Venerable Li couldn’t tell if she was truly calm or if she was being controlled by Zhou Daofu.

She let him drain her spiritual energy, but once it entered his body, she could see the state of his nascent soul.

Once you reach Nascent Soul Realm, a nascent soul resembling yourself will appear in your dantian. Zhou Daofu’s nascent soul was originally shriveled up, but after absorbing Yuan Chu’s spiritual energy, Yuan Chu discovered that his nascent soul had recovered a bit.

She sneered. And while Zhou Daofu put his mind to draining her, she coiled threads of spiritual energy around his nascent soul.

Even until death, Zhou Daofu would never think he’d meet up with such a person. Was she not afraid of dying, to calmly make such small movements while being drained? One had to know that if Zhou Daofu felt even the least bit threatened, the one to die would be Yuan Chu!

The fresh, unending spiritual power flowed into Zhou Daofu’s body. He felt himself become younger and couldn’t help letting out a long whistle.

Yuan Chu opened her eyes and smiled. It was time!

Zhou Daofu felt something wasn’t right. He opened his eyes and saw Yuan Chu smiling at him.

His eyes widened. “You! How is this possible?!”

How could she wake up?!

And in his alarm, Yuan Chu used her strongest move to attack his chest. Her Nascent Soul power shook the cave. Zhou Daofu crashed to the ground, and the trigram formation split apart. All the trapped women escaped their bindings and fled.

“You… How is this possible? Impossible…”

Bruised, Zhou Daofu retreated. He was certain Yuan Chu drank that tea because the pink spiritual energy still lingered in her body. How did she wake up and not be bound by illusions?

Could she, a seven-year-old, have such a stable mind? Could she, who was cast into a Nascent Soul, have no instability in her heart at all?

Zhou Daofu didn’t forget to counterattack amidst his alarm.

He had a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivation. Even if he was hurt, he shouldn’t have any problem defeating Yuan Chu, a mid-stage Nascent Soul, right?

But reality slapped Zhou Daofu in the face. Yuan Chu crushed all of his attacks. She was swift and fierce. A wave of her spiritual energy destroyed half the prison.

Those women hurried to escape out of the opening. Zhou Daofu wanted to escape as well, but Yuan Chu grabbed him and pressed him down with her strikes.

He had never experienced this before. In his anxiousness, Zhou Daofu wanted to self-destruct! As long as his Nascent Soul could escape in the explosion, he would still have the chance to seize someone’s body.

But as he thought of self-destructing, he discovered spiritual energy that was not his had formed an imprisonment formation around his dantian! He couldn’t even self-destruct?!

Now, Zhou Daofu was truly afraid, but he thought of something. He clenched his teeth. Under the danger of Yuan Chu heavily injuring him, he pulled back the seal. In the next second, Ye Chenyuan was grasped in his hands.

Yuan Chu had withdrawn the fatal blow aimed at Zhou Daofu’s head, but she was a step too late. The move would have crippled him if not killed him. Yet now, seeing Ye Chenyuan in his hands, Yuan Chu was upset.

Zhou Daofu had escaped from the jaws of death. A layer of cold sweat covered his back.
