A stomach-churning ripping of both flesh and sinew followed by a crack of bone like some sort of organic disconnection followed the thunk into the Direwolves body, With a delayed reaction the body slacked and started to fall like a felled tree, there was less resistance than he expected, with a distressed realization his eyes narrowed and clarity of vision made his darkest fears true , the Darker fur he expected was grey ,a clear stark difference as this realization overcame his being he shuddered ,looking to the right the darker wolf was sprawled to the ground as he neck looked back he realised what has happened ,the wolf just sacrificed itself for the Alpha ,Cold sweat ran down his brow and his fear was paralyzing,he crooked his head to the right and his eyes met the Alpha's eyes .
Now those eyes were filled with true unadulterated rage and now that same beast has now nothing to lose.
Facing this beast down eye to eye, The eyes of the beast glowed crimson and almost like the Alpha emitted its vicious intent outwards it manifested behind it like a living cloak made from of crimson and black, these colors conflicted like raging torrents , as they raged on it boiled and popped and from this cauldron it increased in size to form a face, Not human or beast but demonic .
The face domineering over Caleb personified the Direwolf Alpha intent, it was distant but he paled in form of this apparition, its mouth was open with a fanged maw.
Its mouth was open for one reason.
