With a heavy ladened inhalation he Caleb cleared his mind of the storm of conflicts which stood within his mind, that of modern sensibility and adversity to killing and the opposing side that he held the knowledge this was necessary or at least some point it would be.

He needed to change his mind,

he walked up to the rabbit's corpse and held it on his side lower than his sight allowing the gouging wound on the head to lay low and slack, allowing each drop of blood which remained to fall he didn't want to look at the grisly sight too much but he was not handling it disrespectfully.

Caleb approached one of the armies of trees of the forest, with an automatic click in his mind blue points played like a kids dot to dot game on the tree , florescent azure light scaled the giant and he needed to join the dots in hope to climb its massive bulk.

His body even without a hand to used climbed with an awkward pace, he used his the horn to dig deep into the tree giving him more leverage.

Caleb focused on every breath allowing himself to fall into a trance, allowing the skill to guide his body almost like another entity guided took the reins, it felt like he was detached now from both body and mind and it gave,a clarity he never experienced, there was no storm which wracked his mind there was no future no past but only what is happening now ,his body moving on instinct with no input where he layed slack his body moved without his need. This clarity gave a clinical view to him and focused his mind.

with those last words almost like a burst of consciousness his body shook and eyes shot back to life strafing around, that last sentence reverberated through his mind but not in his own tone now ,it was more ominous, more sinister.

As he looked at his predicament, he was just was a few inches away from piercing the tree canopy, with a lurching pull he pierced the tree canopy and raised himself up ,the sun was setting ,his first day in this world was ending and he was not in a good position but he knew full well he would be dead meat in the night especially if nocturnal hunters exist in this world just the same.

he just sat at the top looking at the sun setting, watching it fall from over his view, it was a beautiful combination, the orange and red of the new suns which hung over his new home gave of a vibrant spectrum of colors, purples. oranges, reds .

As he watched them his heart rate fell and the clouded mind calmed to a calm sea ,still he layed now.

Struggling to keep his eyes open, he succumbed to exhaustion and now slept still on the tree canopy.
