"Why on earth did you follow me?!" Rhys exclaimed. "I told you to go back for a reason!"

"I was just concerned, I…" Lyn looked over at the bodies sprawled across the floor. Even without getting a proper look, she knew all those people were dead.

"You what?"

She...why did she come here? Wasn't she concerned about Mother? Why did she chase after him in such a hurry? Fat chunks of rain fell from the sky rapidly, only increasing the intense atmosphere between them.

Lyn hesitantly took a step forward. She knew it would be dangerous to approach Rhys with his current mood. But before she knew it, her feet were already dragging her over to him.
