Marco and Alice were walking nearby a river, towards east.

Marco: Hey Alice…

Alice: Mh?

Alice looked at Marco with a strange face, waiting for him to continue.

Marco: ...Well, you are a lamia, since you are half snake, theoretically, you should make eggs, but your reproductive organs are the same of the one of a human, so you should give birth like a mammal…

Then Alice disappeared while Marco looked forward and used the 1st Gate, then he seen monsters crawling out from the river and going towards him.

There were 2 frog girls… Not the My Hero Academia type… Just, try to imagine women with green or gray skin that seemed like goo, probably from the river, same with their hairs, they didn't had teeth and only had long tongues that were releasing saliva, and frog legs.

Then Marco attacked them without the help of the spirits, his tail rushed at them and made a crater where they were, raising dust, but Marco stood in alert, because the frog girls jumped away from the attacks thanks to their strong legs, and landed away both on his left and right side.

They were looking at each other, before both of them jumped at him, the monsters seen that he was able to see them anyway, so they prepared to jump on the sky if he jumped too to dodge them.

But unexpectedly, Marco did the split, and the frog girls were caught off guard so they accidentally slammed against each other.

Then Marco's tail smashed against one, sending it against a tree, then it glowed and turned into a frog, the other girl got scared and ran away.

Marco stood on his feet, but didn't made a single sound, he didn't even deactivated the 1st Gate, Alice came beside him, and noticed his state.

Alice: Hey… Are you alright?

Marco: ...N-No… 'Why I did the split?! It fucking hurts!!!' *Inhales*

Then Marco opened his mouth as if he was screaming in pain, but nothing came out, still Alice closed her ears with a pained expression.

When Marco finished screaming at a noise not humanly possible, he took deep breaths, deactivated the 1st Gate and Alice released her hold on her own ears and looked at him with a worried face.

Alice: O...Oi…

Marco: Just… Let's go…

With a girly tone, Marco walked away while still feeling pain in his lower body, and in his consciousness from how stupid he was to think about doing a split…

Marco and Alice were nearing Grand Noah Castle, today they could sleep there if they kept up with their speed, in the way they encountered some mysterious mushrooms, but Alice's past experience helped her to not eat them.

And Marco just got around her without entering her range, avoiding her.

Marco just ignored her with a poker face, and when she couldn't see him anymore, Alice came back to his side.

Alice: Again with that stupid tactic, what sort of man you are?

Then they started to walk to east.

Grand Noah Castle was almost before their eyes, they were currently in a plain, and Alice was in human form. And that's where they met with a Sister that came from the town, she was another loli with blue nun clothes and hat, black stockings, blonde long hair and blue eyes.

Sister: Oh, you two are quite young for travelers. Would you like to pray to Illi-

Alice/Sister: ...What?

Then she turned in her true appearance, which was the same appearance of before except for the green snake tail instead of her legs, it didn't surprised Marco, because he already knew.

Sister: Don't misunderstand me, I didn't want to lure anyone, I mean no harm to humans. I just want to spread the ideals about Illias' kindness.

Marco: ...Holy fuck someone shot me right now…

Sister: Huh?

Marco: Whatever… Goodbye, Alice, we will leave….

Alice shrugged and walked with Marco, knowing he was greatly annoyed from this thing about Illias, meanwhile the Sister just watched them with a dumbfounded face, before stopping caring and slithering away.

Marco: Oh right, Alice, you don't need to disguise yourself, people here accepts monsters.

Alice: Hm? And how did you know it?

Marco: I heard it somewhere…

Alice shrugged and turned back in her monster form.

Alice: Anyway, it will be nice to pass without any hindrances for a change.

Marco: Alright, let's go.

Then they walked on the path, heading towards the castle, and they finally reached it at evening, they were currently in a plaza, there was a fountain at the center and many stands around, the houses were medieval style and far away there was a big castle.

Marco: Whoa…

Marco was amazed from the sight, ignoring the monsters and humans walking around together in the city.

Alice: ...To think they're this familiar with each other. I had heard the stories, but I had no idea it went this far.

Marco: Meh, soon this thing will be everywhere… I know it…

Alice: Still clinging on your dream?

Marco: No, I am still clinging on my promise…

Marco said that with a confident smile, but Alice frowned a bit, remembering the dream about Marco's past she had in her home.
