Sasuke stared at the scene that was taking place a few meters away from him.

("That guy seems to be from the Akatsuki…") Sasuke thought while observing Sasori from a distance.

He thought back to what Naruto said when they were on their way to the battle.

"No matter what happens,"

"For the next two years, at the minimum."

"Get yourself involved with anyone from Akatsuki!"

"They are S-Rank criminals,"

"Before you know it, you will die!" Naruto warned Sasuke while they camped in the forest…

"Best I'd stay put on the spot, where I will not get into any trouble!" Sasuke thought as he continued to watch the battle between the four that were taking place a few meters away from him…

"Rasa would you explain to me, how the Third Kazekage has been reincarnated?" Chiyo asked in a low voice.

"Orochimaru was the one who resurrected him…" Rasa replied.

"I am a medical ninja, and I am also leading the research on reanimation."

"SO DON'T YOU DARE FOOL ME JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE THE KAZEKAGE!" Chiyo shouted.

"How did one like Orochimaru get the remains of the Third?" Chiyo asked.

Rasa felt guilty. He knew he had broken a taboo by the village.

"I gave him the body…" Rasa said in a voice that contained guilt.

Chiyo stared at Rasa.

"You just confirmed something I did not want to hear…"

"You are a terrible father, and now a terrible Kazekage as well…" Chiyo said.

Rasa remained silent…

He knew that arguing to prove he had changed would not regain the shame he had lost as the village leader in her eyes.

(Whoosh!)

The Third Kazekage sent his geometrical shapes after Sasori.

"Hmph!" Sasori used his skeletal tail to throw the geometrical shapes off of their intended trajectories.

"I'll let you have a taste of your own medicine!" Sasori said as he unraveled a scroll using his tail.

(Poof!)

Sounds of movements of puppet joints echoed from within the smoke.

Soon the smoke revealed a similar figure to the Third Kazekage…

It was the puppet version of himself.

"Like I thought!" Granny Chiyo commented.

"What is it?" Rasa asked.

"Seven years ago when the Third Kazekage disappeared from the village without a trace."

"We scoured the countryside, but we were never able to find him, until…" Chiyo paused.

"Until?" Rasa asked.

"Until his body was said to be discovered."

"At that point, I was still teaching the young ones our puppet heritage while also researching in reanimation project…"

"As you know most human puppets were made from dead bodies."

"So I got to examine his corpse just before he was buried," Chiyo said in a low voice.

Rasa stared at Chiyo…

"There are some special puppets that can retain the ninjutsu aspect from the time the human was alive, though those kinds of puppets could only be made by Sasori at that time…"

"The puppets that could retain ninjutsu are made while the living Chakra is embodied."

"And by doing so,"

"it can use the person's Jutsu from its previous life."

"By the time the Third Kazekage was found, most of his organs and flesh were missing…"

"From that, I knew that he was probably, made into a puppet…" Chiyo explained.

Rasa finally understood how both the reanimation and the puppet versions were in existence at the same time.

While the puppet technique required specific body parts to use ninjutsu in puppet form…

Reanimation only requires a certain amount of flesh to determine the soul and abilities of the body that was to be resurrected.

While puppets could be modified to suit the wielder of the puppets, reanimation relied upon the original powers of the individual, while also having the advantage of repairing damages as well, which put it leagues ahead of puppets.

However, if puppets were compared to their living counterpart…

The only advantages it had was a strong body, with hidden mechanisms and chakra that could be refilled.

The Third Kazekage lifted his hands…

Following which, the iron sand gathered at a certain height above the Third Kazekage, morphing into thousands of minuscule needles…

The hands joined together to form < Tiger > seal.

(Whoosh!) All the needles rushed towards the Third Kazekage Puppet.

"Hmph!" Sasori pulled on his Chakra threads, causing the Third Kazekage Puppet to open its mouth.

(Whoosh!) A massive amount of iron sand poured out quickly forming a wall of iron sand, deflecting all the needles.

Soon, the rain of all the needles slowed down, coming to a complete stop.

Sasori tugged on the Chakra threads to open up a mechanism in the Third Kazekage's arms.

(katcha!)

Both arms opened at the same time to reveal two circular blades.

(BZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!)

The blades started to spin at a high speed.

The puppet Kazekage flew towards the reanimated third kazekage with intention of slicing the kazekage apart.

Hah! The Reanimated Third Kazekage jumped into the air, avoiding the blades.

"Hmph!" Sasori tugged on the strings once again to change the blade mechanism.

The blades withdrew in both arms, following which the lids that were located over the arms opened up to show a view of certain characters that were inscribed onto its surface.

< Puppet Technique - Thousand Hands Manipulation Force! >

(Poof!)

A vast cloud of smoke generated from the scriptures, following which Thousands of hands burst out of the cloud of smoke chasing after the reanimated Third Kazekage who was in mid-air.

The thousands of hands pummelled the Third Kazekage to pieces.

After the assault from the thousand hands stopped, the pieces of the Kazekage slowly fell to the ground where it recovered back into the reanimated Third Kazekage.

Sasori frowned despite knowing the fact that the reanimated version had the ability to recover back to full strength.

("How does one expect to defeat such a monster?") Sasori thought.

("Puppeteering techniques pale in comparison… No! They are useless compared to Reanimation Jutsu that can fight for its user, even after the user has left the battlefield…") Chiyo and Rasa thought as they witnessed the battle that was taking place right in front of them.

The Reanimated Third Kazekage raised his hands and formed a seal…

The iron sand in the area gathered around to form a three-sided pyramid and a cylinder, However…

The Third Kazekage broke apart bit by bit on the place he stood…

"the Third Kazekage!" The reanimated Third Kazekage tried to voice out.

"I will be manipulated… no longer!" The Reanimated Third Kazekage broke apart completely turning into dust upon completing these words…

("As expected, the soul of another cannot be controlled…") Sasori, Chiyo, and Rasa stared at the remains…

Meanwhile, the father and mother puppets were standing beside Chiyo, while the Third Kazekage puppet stood beside Sasori.

A moment passed before Sasori regained his usual composure and turned towards Rasa and Granny Chiyo.

"Granny Chiyo…" Sasori stared at her.

"I heard that you'd retired a long time ago!" Sasori said.

Chiyo stared at Sasori for a moment before she answered…

"I suddenly wanted to see my grandson's face again," Chiyo said in a low voice.

"Stand Back!" Rasa stepped forward and blocked Chiyo.

"It's my duty as the Kazekage to avenge my predecessor," Rasa said.

"Stop talking nonsense!"

"I will be the one to stop my grandson," Chiyo argued as she brought both her hands into the opening of her opposite sleeves.

(Whoosh!) She pulled a chakra thread that had nine kunais hanging out, equidistant from each other.

Under the influence of the puppet technique, the kunais were made to face Sasori.

< Puppet Technique - Assault Blade! >

(WHOOSH!) The Nine Kunais flew at top speed towards Sasori.

Sasori used his tail to block.

(Clang!)

All the kunais were deflected falling down on to the desert sand.

"If you're going to defy me, then I guess I have no choice…" Sasori said, after which he ripped apart the cloak he had draped over Hiruko (the puppet he was in...).

"Will you join along with the Fourth Kazekage as additions to my collection?" Sasori asked.

"Sasori!" Chiyo interrupted.

"There's a reason why you did not use that body completely… right?" Chiyo asked.

"…" Sasori stared at Chiyo.

"You did not want to cross that last bottom line, against the place you were born, even though you became a part of the Akatsuki…" Chiyo said.

"I don't know what you are talking about…" Sasori said, following which, he sent his tail forward to attack Chiyo.

(Boom!)

Sasori's tail destroyed the place Granny Chiyo was standing on…

But entirely missed Chiyo who had jumped backward.

Granny Chiyo turned towards Rasa.

"Rasa!"

"Stay away from this battle!"

"If he uses poison needles, I will not have the necessary antidotes to heal you or myself."

"Worst case, I might die before I take an antidote…" Chiyo said.

"But.." Rasa tried to reason…

"No BUTS"

"I will battle him alone."

"After all, I have more battle experience than he does."

"And he knows that."

"That's why he doesn't attempt to attack recklessly," Chiyo explained

"Mm.." Rasa nodded and jumped backward, distancing himself from the field.

Chiyo nodded at Rasa's actions, following which she turned towards Sasori.

"Come!" Chiyo gestured…

Meanwhile, a few hundreds of meters away….

Naruto and Kakashi stared at Deidara who was on top of his strange creature…

"Say!"

"Say!"

"Are you interested in art?" Deidara asked in an excited voice.

Naruto really wanted to facepalm himself after seeing this development.

("I can't afford to get involved with Akatsuki, right now…")

("No one is strong enough to handle them yet, apart from me…")

("Maybe Jiraiya sensei can help, but I doubt anyone else can…")

("Old man Danzou is someone I cant trust. Ever since that thing with Itachi…") Naruto cursed his misfortune in his heart.

("The entire village may be decimated if even one of the guys shows up there.")

("Even if I wanted to take him on, there is another one who has to be nearby since Akatsuki usually operate in pairs…")

("It would probably be the best if I can set off from here on a good note since the Chuunin Exam is already a ticking time bomb.") Naruto thought.

Kakashi approached Naruto from the back and placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder.

"Need a hand?" Kakashi asked.

Naruto shook his head indicating that he could handle it himself.

He then took a deep breath, following which he showed a bright smile to Deidara.

("When I faced him a long time ago…")

("If I remember correctly, he used explosions…")

("It's probably that one!") Naruto thought as he opened his mouth to speak…

"Yeah!"

"I love Art!"

Naruto announced, following which he formed a Rasengan in his hand...

"Hmm?" Deidara stared at Naruto.

Naruto threw the Rasengan behind him and spread his hands apart with his palms facing the sky...

"ART…"

(BOOM!!!) A massive wall of sand rose into the air behind Naruto, following which Naruto stared into Deidara's eyes…

"IS AN EXPLOSION!!!"
