Why they do this is because they see every relationship as a source of livelihood, they are that good at what they do.

They also target a group of people, but they go through one individual within the group and use such as a launchpad for subsequent dealings within the group. Watch out for them, they are very intelligent, they know everything almost about everything, jack of all trade, master of none, that's what they are most times. They love to drop names and always scheme within the group. They come in through an individual but in no time they become friends with everyone for different reasons within the group. Also note that they have secrets, deep secrets which you will only get to know of when they are through with you. Characteristics to Look Out for in Them

They are cunning: duplicitous people achieve results through deceits. They are schemers and they are very deliberate in their actions. They have the end in mind from the beginning. Any action of theirs has a pre-determined end, because they don't act just for the sake of it, anything they do is based on a motive. The quicker you laid your finger on this, the better for you.

They can't keep friends or associates for long: one of the things to look out for in them is the kind of friends they keep, you will see them with new friends or business partners almost every time, they can't and won't invest in relationships. Loyalty is a very strange word to them because they trust no one. They look at everyone from their own estimation of self.

They burn their bridges: it is okay to have a few people speak ill of you because no matter how nice you are, you aren't just going to get along with some people. But it becomes a problem when everyone who's had dealings with or shared intimacy with you speak ill of you, that's what you will discover about a duplicitous fellow, but you won't know till they are through with you.

They can't hold down a career or business for long: watch out for them, just like they will tell you everybody including their parents are against them, that's the same thing they will tell you about their former jobs and dead businesses, they just simply lack focus or discipline.

They are very greedy: most times they are stingy, but you won't notice immediately, they spend money to deceive you, not that they like to spend money, remember they always have an agenda, so don't get carried away when they spend, check what they spend on and watch closely.

They are very envious of the success of others: be wary of anyone who always tries to wear what you wear, spend like you spend, who tries to impress people who look up to you. They are envious of your achievements, they want to be like you but they aren't ready to work or sacrifice like you.

How to Avoid Them

It's difficult to win a battle against duplicitous people, the best solution is to flee from them. They have a strong pull and what you fell for in the first place was their smartness, intelligence and charisma. These things are strong forces to conquer because not too many people possess such qualities all at once. Never think you can win, rather avoid them and shut them out of your life completely. If you do not treat this advice with urgency, you will regret your actions later, and they aren't limited to a particular gender or classification. They come in male and female, simple or loud. They pick their victims based on the lifestyle of a potential victim. They are around us daily.

The worst that can ever happen to anyone is to marry one, or have a long term business contract of any type in place with them, you might have to suffer the consequences more than other victims.
