I never thought in my lifetime one device will be able to perform the following functions all at once: make a call, take pictures, provide internet access, send emails, send text messages, serve as a calendar, serve as a calculator, have a touch screen, store files, play a video, record a video etc. The device is called a SMARTPHONE.

Everyday different inventors and great thinkers continue to disrupt the way we do things positively. They initiate a new process or a course of action. They spearhead the acceptance of new initiatives. For example, Facebook has changed how we communicate in the world right about now, so much that you relate with people that are thousands of miles away like they are close by, the platform has brought several people under an umbrella, the whole world looks like a small community with Facebook.

The same applies to Google, libraries and dictionaries have almost gone into extinction because to search for a word or conduct a research has become so simplified with Google. What about Uber cars? Uber has changed the concept of taxi all over the world, it is now easier to move from point A to B without much stress and to make things more interesting, Uber cars are actually more secure to ride on.

Just when we thought we had seen it all with the Blackberry phones, then the Apple phones came and so many other great products and initiatives. Before I forget another interesting thing, Elon Musk came up with Tesla cars, SolarCity and SpaceX, some of the most futuristic technological products ever put together by anyone or a group of people. Even in Nigeria, whoever thought a day would come so quickly that the internet would be playing such a big role in our affairs despite the infrastructural gap?

Our world has changed rapidly because of the mobile communication technology and the internet, everything is happening so fast such that if you do not factor the internet into anything you do these days, either you are setting up a business or you want to start a non-profit initiative it's a pretty waste of time.

The internet has become the platform for everything we do, anyone earning a living in the urban areas can't seem to function anymore without the internet, with the internet you can do everything nowadays, from shopping of clothes and other related items, to getting a decent job, to grabbing a quick meal, to riding a taxi, to boarding a train, booking a flight ticket, writing an examination, running a degree program, watching a movie online, buying a movie ticket and even getting a doctor's advice. Everything is just about the internet these days. For this reason, it is imperative that everyone should begin to make the internet the platform on which all their imaginations will be built, you can't just afford to stay out of the loop, no matter how small your business is or your area of specialization is, the internet is all you need now to try new methods and gettothetopfasterthanusual.

Persistence is the surest way to getting answers in life, when persistence becomes a part of you, just know you are going to discover something great, especially when it is positive persistence, in being persistent you must have a clear vision of where you are going, it helps, because there's nothing as sweet as one's persistence paying off, it gives a sense of satisfaction that you haven't wasted so much time on nothing.

They are imaginative: because they like to do things differently even when it is absolutely unnecessary they continue to be creative, always coming up with lovely concepts and ideas, where you will acknowledge their strength is their ability to sell something new and make it gain acceptance almost immediately.

They enjoy partnerships: one very good thing they love to do is collaborate with like minds to do really great things. They know there aren't many of them around, so they tend to support one another on the journey.

Lastly, they are ambitious: they always have a strong determination and desire to succeed against all odds. This feeling keeps them going when nobody seems to give them a chance.

You have to train yourself to be a trailblazer to give more meaning to the life you live. You can apply the principles of being one to whatever you do and you will see how interesting your life will become. When you continue to introduce something new every day in every aspect of your life, most people will marvel at your new found ways of doing things, everybody loves creativity and cleverness, and these two qualities will become your strong points when you work at being an innovator.

You will become a role model of some sort, so many people will love to emulate you because everybody loves interesting and new things. Train yourself to be a trailblazer today!
