Chapter 94 - The police station jar

After making love, the two of them lay in bed for a while.

Lu Qingjiu, dripping wet and sticky, gets up and goes to the bathroom for a shower, but Bai Yuehu is asleep when he returns. His body had obviously not yet fully recovered, and there was a hint of exhaustion on his brow as he slept. If it hadn't been for the look of insatiability on Bai Yuehu's face, Lu Qingjiu would have thought he had pulled Bai Yuehu into a frenzy. He checked Bai Yuehu's body briefly to make sure that the wounds were not broken open before placing the blanket on Bai Yuehu's stomach to prevent him from catching a chill, and then gingerly went out.

Yin Xun was sitting at the door feeding Xiao Hua lettuce when she heard Lu Qingjiu's footsteps and said, "You've finished".

Lu Qingjiu: "It's over."

Yin Xun said, "Be safe."

Lu Qingjiu said, "Are you reminding me or Bai Yuehu?"

Yin Xun looked back at Lu Qingjiu with a subtle look in his eyes and said, "I thought I would remind Bai Yuehu, but on reflection, it might be more practical to remind you."

Lu Qingjiu laughed: "Come on, you're the one who talks too much, let's go to the town tomorrow and buy some meat, we'll make a roast tomorrow." Bai Yuehu will probably be craving meat for the next few days, so he might as well have an all-meat feast and eat as much as he wants.

Yin Xun nodded frantically in agreement, then said that it was getting late and that he should go home first.

"Well, go on." Lu Qingjiu said.

After Yin Xun had left, Lu Qingjiu went back to the house and lay down next to Bai Yuehu, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, he went back to his grandmother's diary and read it carefully several times. It was only when it was almost twelve o'clock that he became a little drowsy and drifted off to sleep.

The next day Lu Qingjiu got up early, made breakfast and fed Bai Yuehu before going to the town with Yin Xun and buying a large pile of meat. They bought a lot of dried seafood, mushrooms and other dried products.

Lu Qingjiu met Hu Shu and his partner when they were shopping, and Lu Qingjiu thought of something and had a chat with them.

"The weather is pretty hot in town these days, isn't it?" Hu Shu obviously didn't understand what Lu Qingjiu meant by his question and said blankly, "What's wrong?"

Lu Qingjiu shook his head and said he was just asking.

Hu Shu puzzled: "Just asking"

Lu Qingjiu said, "Yes."

"Right, are you free the day after tomorrow? I'll treat you to a meal." Hu Shu said, "I haven't thanked you for what happened at the kindergarten last time."

"The day after tomorrow" Lu Qingjiu thought about it and decided to go back and ask Bai Yuehu before saying, "I can't say, I'll ask my friend when I get back."

Hu Shu nodded in response.

When they arrived home, they saw Bai Yuehu still sleeping deeply. Lu Qingjiu didn't disturb him, and together with Yin Xun they processed the ingredients, marinating the meat, defrosting the prawns and cleaning the vegetables. Lu Qingjiu had also prepared lettuce to relieve the greasiness, and had grabbed a lot of spicy cabbage to eat together.

When he was ready, Lu Qingjiu got Bai Yuehu out of bed. Bai Yuehu opened his eyes and looked at Lu Qingjiu, still in a daze, and came over to kiss him on the corner of his mouth, and his ears, which were so different from his cool appearance, stood up, reminding Lu Qingjiu of something inappropriate.

When Lu Qingjiu couldn't stand it, he would reach out and grab his ears, or even bite them, the texture was so soft and fluffy that it felt strange to grind them with his teeth.

I don't know why such a cool creature as a dragon would produce such a cute pair of furry ears, which are not only cute to look at but also feel good to the touch.

Thinking of this, Lu Qingjiu touched the dazed Bai Yuehu with compassion and said, "Foxer, it's time to eat."

Bai Yuehu was still dazed, but mouthed the words, "Yes."

Lu Qingjiu said, "Be good, eat before you go to sleep."

Bai Yuehu nodded and spent a few more moments with Lu Qingjiu before he came to his senses completely.

After a brief wash, the two walked into the living room and picked up their chopsticks for dinner.

The grilled meat is not as fine as the other dishes, but the quantity is the best thing about it. After it is grilled and browned, it is placed in a lettuce leaf with spicy cabbage and a bit of garlic or green pepper, and swallowed with an open mouth. I didn't go to the market today, so I didn't get any fresh shrimps, so I had to buy some frozen shrimps as a substitute and eat them with some chilli noodles, which was also very tasty. As for the vegetables, almost all of them were wrapped in Lu Qingjiu. The white and round mushrooms were washed and roasted in a pan, and soon the juice would emerge from them, which is the essence of mushrooms. It's a great relief from the boredom.

During the meal, Lu Qingjiu told the story of the man who had impersonated Bai Yuehu the other day.

"He hugged you," Bai Yuehu asks.

"Yeah." Lu Qingjiu nibbled on the dried aubergine, for some reason made a little vague by Bai Yuehu's stony gaze, "I didn't recognise it at the time."

Bai Yuehu says: "I didn't recognise it"

Lu Qingjiu: "Well next time I'll definitely recognise it."

Bai Yuehu didn't say anything, frowning as if he was thinking about something.

Lu Qingjiu was a bit shaken by his stare, so he put on a smile to lighten the mood and changed the subject: "By the way, Hu Shu and the others want to invite us to dinner and asked if the day after tomorrow was okay."

Bai Yuehu said, "Yes."

When Lu Qingjiu saw that Bai Yuehu had agreed, he thought he had succeeded and was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he heard Bai Yuehu say, "I really didn't recognise you."

Lu Qingjiu :""

Bai Yuehu dwells on the issue, his eyebrows knitted tightly: "I'm still a bit different from him, aren't I?"

Lu Qingjiu stopped talking, silently swallowed the food he was chewing, and after a few moments of silence drew a piece of paper to wipe his mouth clean, then came up to Bai Yuehu's ear and said a few words.

Bai Yuehu's eyebrows unfurled after hearing Lu Qingjiu's words, and he smiled gently, leaving Yin Xun, who was eating at the side, bewildered, not understanding what Lu Qingjiu had said to fix Bai Yuehu.

"You promised." Bai Yuehu curled his eyes and his ears perked up, "You can't go back on your word."

Lu Qingjiu looked helpless: "Okay, but at least until you're healed."

Bai Yuehu said, "I'm just fine now."

Lu Qingjiu said, "Shut up, I could almost see your stomach last night."

Bai Yuehu :""

Lu Qingjiu: "Oh, it's probably not the stomach either, it's the intestines." The wound on Bai Yuehu's stomach was really scary, if Bai Yuehu wasn't a dragon he would have died more than 10,000 times, so when Lu Qingjiu did it last night he didn't dare to change positions, he was afraid that when he was lying down with Bai Yuehu on top, some organ in his stomach would fall on his body and he would feel creeped out thinking about that image.

The two of them made a dirty deal, leaving Yin Xun, a single dog, nibbling on his lettuce leaves, and at this moment, he finally understood what Zhu Miaomiao meant by dog abuse

The barbecue lasted until midnight, when Bai Yuehu ate all the food. As it was too late, Lu Qingjiu asked Yin Xun to clean up in the morning, so they went off to rest.

The next day Lu Qingjiu replied to Hu Shu, saying he could meet for dinner tomorrow and asking for a time and place.

"Let's do it tomorrow afternoon, it's our shift." Hu Shu said, "It's at the barbecue next to the police station, their lamb kebabs are simply amazing, you must try them."

"OK." Lu Qingjiu agreed.

"I'll see you there then." Hu Shu and Lu Qingjiu agreed on a time and hung up the phone.

To be honest, Lu Qingjiu had not made many friends in Shuifu Village, apart from his neighbours. Now that he knows that none of the villagers are alive, he is even less inclined to do so. Lu Qingjiu had a good impression of Hu Shu and Pang Ziqi from his previous interactions.

Lu Qingjiu took Bai Yuehu and Yin Xun to their appointment on time that afternoon, but when they arrived in town, Hu Shu called to say that something had come up and that the time for the dinner would be changed slightly.

"So what time is it?" Lu Qingjiu asks.

"Why don't you come to the police station, Pang Ziqi and I will be on duty today." Hu Shu said. Hu Shu said, "We'll get off work at about eight, so we'll go jerk off afterwards."

Lu Qingjiu: "Are you sure"

Hu Shu said, "Sure, our leader is not here, it's fine."

Lu Qingjiu wondered, "Didn't you say you had the day off?"

Hu Shu explained helplessly that the colleague on duty today had a sudden family emergency and had left temporarily, and that he and Pang Ziqi had been caught by the strongman.

Lu Qingjiu felt that Hu Shu seemed to have a point and drove his minivan in the direction of the police station.

Before coming here, Lu Qingjiu had never been to the police station once, but since then he has become a regular visitor and has made two police friends.

The police station in this town is small and there are basically no major cases, like the one before where the body was found in the well, which were handed over to the city to be solved.

Lu Qingjiu walks in and sees Hu Shu and Pang Ziqi, both sitting at their computers, greeting Lu Qingjiu warmly as he arrives.

"Have a seat, I'll pour you a cup of tea." Hu Shu greeted him warmly and got up to pour tea for the three of them. Although it was hot outside, the air conditioning inside was on full blast and it was very cool.

"What are you doing?" Lu Qingjiu asked.

"It's not writing a report." Hu Shu replied, "Something was found in the town the other day."

Lu Qingjiu said, "What was found? It's not another corpse or something, is it?"

"It's not." Hu Shu explained with a big grin, "How could it be that the body is just a little something."

Lu Qingjiu didn't think much of it, and sat with Bai Yuehu Yin Xun in a chair waiting for the two of them to leave work.

It was just after six o'clock, two hours before Hu Shu's shift ended, so Lu Qingjiu chatted with him for a while and asked him about the non-humans in the human world. He found out that the authorities had known about the non-humans for a long time and had even contacted them, but even though they knew about them, there was no good way to deal with them. After all, the spiritual energy in the human world was now very thin, and most of the great clans of spiritual cultivators who had called the shots in ancient times had also fallen into decline, losing even the simplest of spells

"Does that gun what works?" Lu Qingjiu asked.

"I don't know." Hu Shu looked sad, "It depends on the type, if it's a spirit or something, I guess it can be salvaged, if it's a ghost or a god"

At his words, a loud bang rang out in the room, a loud bang like a thunderbolt from a clear sky, shaking the dust from the ceiling and almost shattering the windows with it.

"Fuck" Hu Shu was taken aback, "what's that noise?"

Pang Ziqi was sitting next to her playing Spider Solitaire on her computer when she heard the noise and looked stunned: "It's thundering outside."

"No." Hu Shu said, "It sounded like it was coming from inside the house."

The two men looked at each other for a moment, both seeing the same puzzled look in the other's eyes.

But to be honest, the sound did sound a bit like thunder, a rumbling tune that rose and fell with echoes. Only it didn't seem to be coming from outside the window either, but from another room.

"What's in that house." Hu Shu asked.

Pang Ziqi thought about it and looked a bit puzzled: "Damn, didn't you bring that thing back today and put it next door?"

Hu Shu :""

They seemed to think of something and looked into the room at the same time.

Just then, the sound rang out again, and it was like thunder that exploded in their ears. Yin Xun got goose bumps from the sound and said, "Isn't this just thunder? What the hell is that?"

Pang Ziqi didn't say anything and licked his lips, "I'll go and see."

Lu Qingjiu looked at Bai Yuehu, who understood what he meant and said, "Go on, it's all right, I'm here."

Lu Qingjiu was indeed curious, and with Bai Yuehu in charge, there should be no surprises. With that in mind, he joined Yin Xun, who was also curious, and went to join the fun.

Pang Ziqi and Hu Shu went to the door and carefully took out the key and opened it. Lu Qingjiu looked at the sign on the door and realised that the room was used to store evidence, but as there were no cases in the town, the room was also empty. Lu Qingjiu saw at first glance what was laid out on the table.

They were two beautiful jars, one large and one small, placed on the table, which stood out in the empty room. The jars, with their large bellies and small mouths, appear, at first glance, to be ordinary artefacts, with some strange patterns printed on the bellies, which look somewhat like writing, but are not supposed to be Chinese.

Pang Ziqi goes in first and carefully walks up to the jar.

"Lu Qingjiu wondered, "Why did you bring this back?" Since it needed to be brought back to the police station, there must be some reason for it.

"Oh, the person who reported the case said that someone crawled out of this jar." Hu Shu also knew that what he said was a bit ridiculous, with a bit of helplessness in his tone, "said that this jar was his family's heirloom, and as a result, his family went bankrupt, and he couldn't afford to sell the jar, and as a result, some time ago, he found that there was something unusual in the house, something that had been moved, something that had some extra small animal carcasses, and so on, so he put a monitor in the house "

"What do you see?" Lu Qingjiu was intrigued.

"No." Pang Ziqi took over, "The monitor didn't see anything, he still thought something was wrong, only to wake up suddenly one night in the middle of the night and see a long-haired man crouched on his couch, staring straight at him"

Lu Qingjiu: ""This is too horrible.

"The person immediately reported it to the police." Hu Shu said, "We then went to see what was going on and also checked the CCTV."

But nothing was actually captured on the CCTV, however, given the resolute attitude of the informant, they had to take both jars back to the police station and find a place to put them away. After all, they are a small place and there aren't many serious cases on a regular basis, most of them are trivial matters of the villagers, such as a couple quarrelling, or a neighbour taking up two inches of land.

"So you didn't see anything in the jar," Lu Qingjiu asked.

"No, if I saw something, how would this stay in the station." Hu Shu said helplessly, "Although I used to be an atheist, now"

Lu Qingjiu: "Now"

Hu Shu said, "Now I am a scientific theist."

Lu Qingjiu: "Ha"

Hu Shu also explained to Lu Qingjiu that all paranormal phenomena could be explained from a scientific point of view, for example, that the Yu Shi concubine or whatever was another race, although not human, but at least it existed objectively. "

Shu took a look at the jar, obviously wanting to stay away from the thing, but he had no choice but to go to the jar and take a careful look inside, and only after making sure there was nothing in it did he pick it up and turn it upside down and shake it, "I told you there was nothing in it."

The jar was empty, indeed nothing had fallen, but Pang Ziqi's voice trembled as he stood next to it: "Hey, put the jar down quickly."

"Ah" Hu Shu, bewildered, "What's wrong?"

"Put the jar down quickly, damn it" Pang Ziqi snapped, "there's something in there" his words fell, Hu Shu reflexively looked into the jar, only to be met by a pair of green eyes.

"Hu Shu was taken aback by the sight of the eyes, and the jar fell to the ground as soon as his hand was released. The moment it hit the ground, a pair of white hands stretched out from the jar and braced themselves on the ground, then moved towards the door with great speed.

Everyone seemed stunned by the scene, and no one said anything for a long time until Bai Yuehu, who was standing in the doorway, stretched out his foot with a bemused expression and tripped the jar straight into the ground.

The jar fell to the ground and rolled with a grunt, and the hands retracted inside. The jar rolled right up to Lu Qingjiu's feet, and Lu Qingjiu looked down to see the blackened interior of the jar. The original from the jar

The hands stretched out inside had disappeared and reverted to their empty form.

The eyes of the crowd fell on the jars.

"What the hell is this thing?" Yin Xun asked warily.

Lu Qingjiu was about to speak when the jar, which had been lying obediently on the ground, actually emitted another thunderclap, this time exploding directly beside them, shaking several people and making them dizzy.

Lu Qingjiu covered his buzzing ears and said, "What is this?"

Bai Yuehu said, "It's the first time I've seen it too."

Lu Qingjiu said, "Ah"

Bai Yuehu bent down and picked up the jar, and as soon as it entered his hand, it began to shiver uncontrollably, as if he was afraid. Bai Yuehu observed the jar for a moment and then defined it: "It must be some kind of small demon."

"Demons," said Lu Qingjiu, "and what is this thunder and how does it attack?"

Several people frowned, and according to Hu Shu, the jar had previously shown no signs of being unusual until it was brought to the police station, when it made a thundering sound.

Bai Yuehu reached into the jar and Hu Shu was about to stop him, fearing that something might go wrong, but he was stopped by Pang Ziqi, who gave Hu Shu a look that indicated that Bai Yuehu was not a normal person and that Hu Shu should stay out of the way. Only then did Hu Shu relent and not try to stop Bai Yuehu.

Bai Yuehu's hand touched the jar a few times, but when he withdrew it, there was more of a moist liquid on his fingers, transparent and seemingly indistinguishable from ordinary water. He put the water to his nose and sniffed it, then frowned.

Lu Qingjiu thought there was something wrong with the water, so he quickly grabbed Bai Yuehu's hand with a tissue and wiped the water away for him.

Bai Yuehu said, "It seems to be"

Lu Qingjiu: "Mmm"

Bai Yuehu continued, "It seems to be the tears of a demon."

Lu Qingjiu :""

Silence spread among the group and it was a while before Hu Shu's stuttering voice resumed: "Eyes, tears, meaning this jar is crying"

Bai Yuehu said, "It seems to be."

Yin Xun was filled with incredulity: "So the thunder just now was his cry"

As if in response to Yin Xun's words, the jar once again emitted a deafening thunderclap, but I don't know if it was because of a change of heart, but Lu Qingjiu could really hear the sound of sobbing in the thunderclap. What had been a very majestic sound seemed to turn into a broken bawl, which made everyone's expressions very subtle.

"What is he crying about?" Hu Shu asked in a shaky voice.

Yin Xun answered his question, "I thought you said it had been silent before, but this is the first time it has cried."

Hu Shu was full of doubt: "Yeah, what's wrong with that"

Yin Xun said, "You took people out of their homes and put them in the police station, and you still don't let them cry a little."

Hu Shu :""

Pang Ziqi :""

Yin Xun's words made so much sense that they were at a loss for words to refute them.

What the author has to say: Bai Yuehu: I want you to distinguish us completely.

Lu Qingjiu: Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
