Chapter 5: Zheal Crystals as ExP

A week later...

Without alerting them, Yu Han went to his routine without any problem, his acting skills are pretty commendable so no one took notice him...well, except one and he's infront of him now!

Sitting cross-legged, looking at him with sharp eyes, his gray skin looked so sickly pale that you might think that in human perspective that he has a severe illness that could make the skin pale as snow. But he could see that he is just like a healthy human with gray skin.

[ Gary, Level 28 ]

"What do you want to do now? Huh?" He spoke with the world's common language that Yu Han could decipher and understand

He knew that the guy was testing him, watching him with a calm expression. Speaking the common language, he meekly laughed "Why do you trust me? I'm only Level 0, even someone from Level 30 is helpless, what can a weakling like me do?"

Gary shot him a deep look "You are one of those who can keep the ability to talk who did not get caught by those pirates, so its better for us to band together to escape this hell-like place"

His eyes flickered as he gazes at Gary. It seems that there will always had loose ends within the slaves and someone did not lose their sanity just like him. That fact alone made him gratified but still, his eyes flashed wariness.

"Escaping from here is not something that can be done because a group of people wants to do so and besides, aren't you afraid that I'll tell the guards about your escape plan?" He thought for a moment before asking

"Believe it or not. We will make it, if you are interested you can come and find me, Yu Han." Gary smiled mysteriously as he waved his hands and bid farewell

He fell into a deep thought. It seems that Gary is quite confident but he is only a small fry right now, maybe, they will need him to be a cannon fodder or they were short-handed in staff and wanted him to fill the gap but he couldn't rule out the fact that he maybe a sincere person and wanted him to join their group

He was a little bit tempted to join but his guts told him that it is simply a waste of time and might even be caught and may lose his only chance to escape. And he didn't trust him, that Gary, not a single bit.

"How did it go, Gary?" A Level 20 Bull Man asked. They were surrounded by six people, looking at Gary with a serious expression

[ Vianci, Level 21 ]
[ Tom, Level 20 ]
[ Vivianci, Level 23 ]
[ Laki, Level 20 ]

Each with different levels and race. They successfully preserved their intelligence and gathered together to escape this prison, seven of them were the main force and their plan has been complete and they now need cannon fodders and the more the better. They found three others that retain their ability to think and recruited them all to their team and Gary has spotted one and has began to recruit him and now they were waiting for him to answer

"The cannon fodder refused. It seems that we would need to find another one" Gary shook his head with a dissatisfied expression

"But we need cannon fodders to our plan to succeed, the more cannon fodders we have the better the probability that we can escape from this pirate hideout" Vivianci, a Level 23 Siren Demon said

Gary shrugged his shoulders "That one is the weakest one I have ever seen. Have you heard about a species that starts at Level 0?"

"Let him be! A Level 0 has nothing to do with us since he refused us, he had missed his only chance to escape then let him squander it. I don't believe that he won't get caught by those pirate's lackeys!" Tom sneered and immediately discarded Yu Han when he heard that he is only a weakling

A weakling had no right to cooperate with them, one had to be in the same status in order to reach into consensus, what right does a Level 0 weakling compared to Level 20s like them? Even the weakest of them is Level 20!

"But we are only searching for cannon fodders, it doesn't matter if he's only Level 0. If the soft tactics didn't work, control him, beat him until he agree. I don't believe that he won't submit" Laki said in a domineering way as he crossed his arms

"That's not good. If that weakling suddenly revealed our escape plan then we would have failed and lose our freedom" Vianci said worriedly

"Heh. If that weakling dares to, that means that he would also be revealed that he can still retain his consciousness then it would be his loss too. If that weakling is not stupid then he wouldn't report us to those bastards" Laki sneered

"Ehem. Anyway, Leader. How many cannon fodders do we had to gather for the plan to officially starts?" Harry swiftly switch the topic and they immediately turned serious and they turn and look at Gary with an expectant gaze

Gary did not immediately answered, he turned and look at Vivianci "How's the Pirate Group Internal Battleship? Have you taken control of them? You know that if it isn't fully under controlled by us then the plan can't proceed to the next stage"

"Don't worry, Leader. I got it under control, boss." Vivianci gave a very casual reply

"I hope so" Gary, feeling a little bit skeptical about her face brimming with confidence

"Remember to double check or check it many times, I don't any failure with the escape plan we're brewing" Gary said seriously

"Yes, Boss!"

Yu Han was shocked to the core when he saw the purple crystals embedded to the cave, that familiar crystal that the entire humanity have been fighting over like crazy...

He didn't expect to find it here....

'And it seems to be very common here' Yu Han thought when he saw countless purple crystals that they were mining, were being put down in a cart without much attention, his expression slightly distorted. He felt that his face had been slapped fiercely, the treasures that humanity had fought madly and had caused bloodbath was treated as a trash in an alternate dimension.

He felt that he had lived his life in vain when he saw it.

The Zheal Crystals that human were relying on to change their DNA structures were being treated as a low-grade item in this world.

Due to shock, he temporarily forgotten about Gary who had invited him to their plan to cause a huge prison break out and became one of their distraction and cannon fodder for them to escape

Even though, Gary didn't mention it, as an elite of the special force of Skyhawk Federation, one of the top-tier Intergalactic Empire, it would be very disappointing if he didn't notice it, that would bring great shame on his motherland!

One had to know that in order to enter the elite section of the Skyhawk Federation, one must be outstanding in all kinds of field. Strategic Planning, Battleship Piloting, Formal Combat, Command Ability etc. were just part of all kinds of field.

He didn't have time to boast about himself when he felt a stinging sensation on his entire body. Although, it didn't harm his body but it makes his whole body feel uncomfortable that made his stern face sweat a bit, fortunately, his tolerance for this kind of things is high and it only take a matter of second before his expression turned normal.

Unknown to all, a Zheal Crystal scrapped his skin, creating a small scratch in it. The Zheal Crystal had turn into dust and entered Yu Han's body, that was why Yu Han felt uncomfortable all over his body

Unknowingly, the name tag above his head slowly change to...

His attribute also change a bit. The uncomfortable feeling that Yu Han had felt was actually upgrading his strength to Level 1.

But Yu Han simply ignored it and proceeded to his disguise and went over to mine. Lately, his rate of mining had increased overtime as he continue to mine minerals like a machine but the efficiency and effectiveness were quickly noticed by him when he saw a pile stock of Zheal Crystals on his bag packed with a small dimension used for storing crystals, but to prevent the slaves to hide it, and hoard it, each had a location on it to track the slave's movement, to prevent them from secretly hide some crystals, the crystals on the bag, the slaves could only put the crystals in and could not be take out.

But of course. No one would take the crystals out because of the hypnotism and tactics that those pirates used because when one take any crystals from the bag then it would sound an annoying alarm, those slaves that were forced to mine wouldn't do that because they don't have their own consciousness, they were like zombies, if Yu Han were to take just one out from the bag then not only would he be caught, he would also reveal that he could still regain his ability to think and it would be all over for him.

But...

These sophisticated mine bags has a flaw that he could exploit. In fact, there were many things he could find a loophole from this, that it would always seems endless, hmph hmph to think that they would actually think that these tiny things can stop him?

But there were too many choices and he only picked the most simple one, why would he bother complicating things when there is a simple route?

Naturally, he had a secret compartment that was hidden besides the enemy's camp, the one that guards the crystal mine. Yu Han was crafty and had used a remote corner where the guards didn't frequently went to hide treasures there. The training of the elite soldier for the Special Force weren't just a decoration, he had hidden it quite well.

Waiting until it was midnight, in which he waited for a very, very long time, then he carefully slipped out from his resting place, taking off the bracelet that keep tracks of his whereabout so that they won't noticed of his movement. After avoiding those night watchers, he made use of their blindspot to arrive at his destination carrying a piece of crystal from his clothes and made sure that it wouldn't have tossed out while he was careless.

He breathe a sigh of relief before he took out a thumb size purple crystal, under the moonlight from the two moons criss-crossing, it gave off a dazzling light. Even he, click his tongue in wonder.

Zheal Crystals that were treated as treasure in human race being treated as waste by this world, should he say that this world was stupid because they wasted such good stuff or the human race were too ignorant as to recognize a waste as a treasure?

Yu Han couldn't help but secretly sigh as he continue to fiddle with the Zheal Crystal and accidentally cut a small wound and the crystal suddenly turn into dust

Hm?

Itchy and uncomfortable....

Yu Han raised his eyebrows. The same familiar uncomfortable feeling earlier, did it have to do with the Zheal Crystal?
