/ BREAKING OFF LIMITS 12 LIVE BY FAITH
Faith and hope are different. Hope is a good waiter; it can wait, endure and persevere, but not a good receiver. God did not ask you to receive your miracle by hoping. You need hope before your faith comes but, when faith comes, then hope has done its work.
It is your faith that receives miracle that is why there is need for believers to be in church often to hear the word. As long as you are on earth, you will always need to eat to survive. So also, you need to take the word of God which is the food of the spirit for you to be strong spiritually. At conversion, God gave us faith. There is no reason for us to ignore it and not use it. It is a 'servant'. Use your faith!
Rom 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
In this passage, Paul was talking about the measure of faith. The measure of faith: the same amount of faith. So He does not give me more faith than you. When we were born again, the Lord gave us faith in measure, what you now do with it depends on you. Without faith, you can't please God. The currency of heaven is faith.
We belong to heaven's kingdom that is why He gave us a language- speaking in tongue. That tongue cannot be understood by natural man on earth. He gave us a constitution of the kingdom which is the Bible so that we can relate with Him. He gave us prayer to communicate with Him. Faith is our connecting link in prayer to receive answers. If we are going to please God at all, we will need to walk by faith. It is not optional.
It is strange today that people are always looking for someone to pray for them. Often I tell such people to sit down and hear me preach first. Why? It is not because the anointing to pray for them is not there, but they need to hold on to the Word as an umpire in their life. When faith is anchored on the word of God, whatever they receive cannot be lost.
2 Cor 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
In this world, 'seeing is believing'. If I see it I believe. That is not totally correct. I don't see electric current but I believe it exists. I have heard and known that many people had been killed touching open wire. And, I don't want to touch it to say that seeing is believing. There are many things on earth you don't see and you believe. If you base your philosophy on seeing is believing, you may endanger your life. In some situations the philosophy may be alright but not all the time.
In the kingdom, for you to see it, you must believe first. For you to access it, you must believe it. Believe is verb; actively believing what God says concerning you i.e. God's report. Believe that what false prophet say to you is not final. What doctors and circumstance say to you can change. Believe in God's word.

We are to live by faith. For spiritual gifts to grow, you use it. The more you use it, the more it increases. Physical things decrease when you use them, but things of the spirit increases with usage. Your faith even though given to you when you are born again can change into a different level.
There is a little faith, great faith and exceeding great faith; it can change depending on your usage. If you are lazy about developing your faith, it will diminish.
Romans 10:17 says,
Faith comes by hearing...
You are 'hearing' the word of God today, faith is coming to you. When faith comes, it gets a miracle to you; on the platform of easiness.
Mark 11:22-23
22. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
I have mentioned these verses to long-term seekers of children, those who have done everything possible to get a child. When I give them this scripture, from the mouth of Jesus and they understand it, in one month they conceive.
Recently I was praying for a lady from northern Nigeria, she desires a child. Whenever I want to pray on things like conception, I give people scriptures.
Go and read it for 1 to 2 hours, meditate on it and phone me thereafter. I examine them to be sure they understand what they have read then I will pray with them. I want them to base their prayer on the word of God so that they will not lose their miracle, because the devil is a thief. It is expedient your faith solidly anchors on the word.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Your 'having' will come after 'believing' that you have received. Until you believe everything that God says concerning you, you don't have them in your life. When you believe, you receive it physically. When you believe you have received, you call yourself mother of so and so; you buy the dress for your child. You prepare for the child; you relax and refuse to worry any longer. After then, you will see the manifestation. That is living by faith.
I am showing you this because it is so important we understand it. For your faith to grow it is more than prayer; it is a deliberate decision to cooperate with God for it to grow.
I want you to see how the element of faith works. When you believe a thing, you act on it. You act like it is true. When you have a certificate of occupancy of a land, you believe that it is your land, even though you have not seen the land. When you believe you have your miracle, you praise God ahead. If your action is negative and you withdraw or you are afraid, I doubt whether you believe.
In Act 14:6-7 Paul and Silas were in Lydia. They were there to preach the word of God.
They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
And there they preached the gospel.
The gospel is two words: Go and spell (tell it). I am spelling it as it is. I am telling you that God is a healer; I am telling you that God answers prayers. I am telling you that God breaks limitations and problems, I am telling you that God means what He says and He says what He means. God is good.
Acts 14:8-9
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
There sat a certain man. That certain man could be you today, who the enemy has said, is limited. This man has a problem from the womb of his mother. He can't be the cause of the problem. It can't be a personal sin that caused it.
You will not know the value of walking because you have legs. You do not know the value of a thing until you lose it. The man has never walked and the gospel was coming forth. Paul was preaching the totality of the bible that I am preaching to you that He is the Lord, the healer. He is your healer. He is everything to you; He is the one that breaks limitations from your life. He makes you a champion. He rewrites the story of your life.
This same cripple heard Paul speak. He heard Paul just as you are 'hearing' me today. Why did he need to hear Paul preach? Because faith comes by hearing.
Who steadfastly beholding him…. He was looking at Paul; every word that Paul was preaching was sinking into him. Not only hearing, he was also comparing what he was hearing with his circumstance. He was applying it to himself. He didn't say, "Paul saw my leg that was why he was using me to preach".
Some are angry and offended at the word, no wonder they are limited in life.
He perceiving that he had faith to be healed….. How did Paul perceive that he had faith? The eyes of the man reflected that he was concurring with the message. He was accepting it, he was ready. If you are ready for the miraculous, whatever limit that the enemy has set for you will be removed.
Faith is not optional because the battle of life is real. We, therefore, need to feed our faith to starve out doubt. Everybody on earth face doubt at one time or the other but the easiest way to kill doubt is to feed our faith with God's word.
Two million Jews journeyed from Egypt. By the mighty hand of God, they left the land of Egypt- a place of oppression. When they got to the Red sea, they saw waters before them and Pharaoh behind them. They cried and questioned Moses, "Why did you bring us here? We have told you to leave us. Let us serve Pharaoh and die". But God in his compassion made a way for them. At every point of difficulty, they looked back and said, we can't make it; we are going back to Egypt. On the long run they died and perished in the wilderness because of unbelief. Their children inherited what they could have had. They limited the Holy One of Israel.
Ps 78: 19, 22, 41-42:
Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness.....
Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:
Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.
They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.
Don't compare situation with yourself. Compare them with God. When you look at giant and look at God, God is bigger than any giant, and God will make a way for you.
Let us also consider the story in Mark 4:35-36
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Jesus was going on a journey with the disciples. As they went on the journey, something happened- a storm arose.
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mark 4: 37-38
Surprisingly, Jesus was sleeping when there was a storm. They woke Him and
said said unto Him, "Master carest thou not lest we perish?"
They didn't say, don't you care you perish. They knew He couldn't have perished but were not sure of themselves. The Lord said, "Let us pass". He did not say let us go and die. They didn't pay attention to the context of His word and faced the storm all alone. They allowed the pressure on them and they were professing their circumstance (tendency of dying). No wonder they got no result until they went to call to Jesus.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:39
If wind could hear, sickness also will hear him.
Rom 4:16-17 says,
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Weak faith always considers the storm, the wind, the report and the problem. The Bible says Abraham considered not his own body now dead (at about 100 years old), yet neither the deadness of Sarah womb at ninety.
May you be strong in faith in the midst of contradiction. Your life will not end in disaster. The Lord will be glorified in your life. A new dawn is here.
