Amore Vengativo 27 Chapter Twenty - Six

"Look! The Teen Magazine is looking for an amateur model to be their cover girl for this Prom Issue." sabi naman ni Chloe.

She is currently at the computer laboratory with her friends, except for Maverick who is at the music class practising with the orchestra band.

"Oh! You wanna join?" asked Cher.

"Nope. I got an idea." said Chloe.

She first downloaded the individual photos of the triplets with their caption name. And, submitted them to the publication online.

"Let's see who's gonna win." ika nga ni Chloe.

When the publication received the email, the PR staff studied the pictures. After the background check has been done, they pick the lucky winner. They want Maita because she looked sweet and innocent in her picture. When they contacted Maya on her cellphone, she is delighted about the good news. But, she is surprised who submitted her picture online.

First, she thanked Maya, "Maya, thank you nga pala!"

Taka naman ni Maya, "For what?"

"For submitting my photo online. The Teen Magazine liked my picture. So, they choose me to be their cover girl." paliwanag naman ni Maita.

Natuwa naman si Mrs. del Real nang narinig niya ang magandang balita sa anak niya. And, she is proud of her daughter. On the other hand, Maya was puzzled who submitted Maita's photo to the publication.

On the day of pictorial, where Maita get the freebies like free hairstyling and make-up in an elite salon and an astounding gown from a well known designer, Maya is there standing watching her sister. In somehow, she felt envious of her sister.

Maita's popularity grew when the Prom Issue was released. And, she is a candidate for Prom Queen. And, Maya's patience has ended. She is now furious.

"This can't be! How could this be?" sabi niya.

Then, Fredo teased her. They are at the park, watching the sunset. Both of them have ice cold beer.

"Don't you get it? I already planned this. That's why I first contacted Maita so she can be my helper in preparing myself to be the Prom Queen. Now, someone has submitted her photo at the publication and they chose her." pakiwari niya.

"So, you are being kind to your sisters because you want other people know that you are a kindhearted, and they could vote you to be the Prom Queen. That's easy. I will nominate you to be the Prom Queen. But, one thing that you need to promise me." sabi ni Fredo.

Nagaalinlangan naman si Maya sa binabalak ni Fredo.

"What is it?" tanong niya.

"Giselle is also a candidate for Prom Queen. And, please do anything so she can win." sabi ni Fredo.

"Then, I will not be a Prom Queen but Giselle." taka ni Maya.

"Yep. That is the only way how to get even with your twin. If Giselle is the Queen, no matter what happened she is still the It Girl in school. You don't want to lose your sister's affection, right?" pakiwari naman ni Fredo.

So, it is. Fredo secretly nominated Maya, while Maya nominated Giselle. On the other hand, Davina was confused. She thought Maya would be voting for her twin sister, but she chose Giselle. But, she pretended like she is not suspecting anything and voted Giselle for Prom Queen.

Violet thinks this would be an spectacular even. She wouldn't be surprised if something might happen in Prom.

And, the night of the event arrived. Maverick goes to Prom with Chloe and her friends. She might have Daniel for her date, but Daniel insists to date Maya. And, Maya agrees to Daniel's invitation because she doesn't let everybody knows she has an on-going relationship with Fredo. And, Fredo is Giselle's date, which is according to the plan.

When the clock strikes at 12 midnight, where Cinderella's magic will be gone. That is the time of the closing of online vote. Violet is the assigned emcee for that night. She also expects that Maita will get the highest votes.

At that the time of the announcement, Maita is heading towards the function hall when someone hit her on her head. She was unconscious, and the guy with the black hoodie and black mask carried her to the girl's comfort room and tied her. No one witnessed of that incident.

When Violet announced that Maita is the winner, it is Maya who climbs up to the stage wearing the same gown. She received her crown as this year's prom queen. She waved and smiled at the audience like a beauty queen.

And, finally, Chloe noticed something strange, "That's not Maita."

Gulat naman nina Cher at Maverick, "Huh?"

"I have the feeling that is not Maita. She must be Maya." paliwanag niya.

"Oh, they really have similarities. So, don't make a fuss out of it." explained naman ni Maverick.

At maymaya, Chloe recieved a text message from an anonymous number, "London bridge is falling down for My Fair Queen."

"Godamnit!" reaksyon niya.

At pumasok ang guard sa loob at may inabot kay Maverick na charmed bracelet, "Miss, galing ito sa babaeng kasama niyo."

Tiningnan ni Maverick ang name tag sa charmed bracelet, "Kay Maita ito, a."

At nang pupuntahan na niya si Maya para iabot ang charmed bracelet. Napansin niya na siya nga talaga si Maya na nagpapangap. Binalikan niya ulit si Chloe at sinabing, "May nangyaring masama kay Maita. Tara, hanapin natin siya."

At lumabas sila ng functioned hall at nakipag-coordinate sa mga guards para hanapin si Maita.

At may nagtext na naman kay Chloe from the same anonymous message, "Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown, and Jill came tumbling after."

Inis na inis na si Chloe at ibabagsak na niya ang cellphone, pero pinigilan siya ni Cher, "Wait, pabasa ng text message."

At binasa ni Cher ang text message, nahulaan na niya kung saan si Maita, "Tara, puntahan natin ang Girl's CR."

At dali - dali silang tumakbo sa girl's CR. Sa isang cubicle na pinatungan ang pintuan ng plywood, doon nila naririnig ang ungol. At nagpatulong sila sa maintenance para tangalin ang plywood.

At pag-bukas nila ng pinto, nakita nila nila si Maita na nakatali at nakduct tape ang bibig.

At agad nilang kinalas ang tali at tinangal ang duct tape mula sa bibig niya. Iyak ng iyak si Maita nang siya ay nakawala at niyakap niya sina Chloe at Maverick.

"Sino ang may gawa nito sa iyo?" tanong ni Chloe.

"Hindi ko alam. Papunta na ako sa function hall nang may pumukpok sa ulo ko." salaysay niya.

At muli naman na nakatangap ng text message si Chloe, "Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put humpty together again."

Pinakita niya kay Maverick ang text message. Nang tiningnan niya ang text message, nag-panic siya at niyaya na niya ang mga kasamahan niya pumunta sa function hall dahil duda niya baka may mangyari kay Maya.

Pagdating nila doon, wala naman kakaibang nangayri. Maya is still standing at the stage, pretending to be Maita. Suddenly, there's a pail of pig's blood threw all over her body. The pail was hung in the ceiling. Someone made this prank against Maita, pero siya ang napagbalingan.

Lahat ng mga tao nagtawanan when they see her have pig's blood covered all over her body. She was embarrassed. She looked at the people who were laughing at her, and she cried.

Napahiyaw si Maita sa inis nang nakita niya ang sinapit ng kapatid niya, "Ate Maya!"

And, the people looked at the back. They are shocked when they knew that Maya is just pretending to be her. There is a moment of silent when the girls rushed to the stage to help Maya.

The girls consoled Maya while she was sobbing. And, some of the attendees of the prom went on tears.

Sabi pa ni Violet, "Kung sino man ang gumawa nito kay Maya, magbabayad siya!"

And, Maya realized that it is not Violet's fault because she is innocent.

"I don't know who did this to me. But, I think he is a fucking creep!" sobbed Maya.

Binulungan ni Davina si Violet, "Hindi ito kasama sa plano."

Gulat naman ni Violet, "What are you talking about? Emcee lang ako. At ikaw yung SC President. Ikaw nga ang nag-organize ng event na ito. Dapat may kinalaman ka dito. Bakit ibubunton mo sa akin ang sisi?"

"What?" taka ni Davina.

And, Davina realized that something went wrong.

Lumapit si Fredo para alalayin si Maya. Sabi ba niya, "Maya, ako na maghahatid sa inyo. Baka susundan pa kayo ng gustong manakit sa inyo."

Nagtaka ito si Daniel sa attitude ni Fredo because he knew that he is Maya's date. And, Maya agreed to come with Fredo.

Maya first went to the comfort room to clean herself and change her clothes. After that, she and the other girls went home. It is Daniel who's left behind now not Maya.
