Accident Prone 72 Getting to know each other Mia and Hunter 2

Hunter wondered, why is he here? He is not sure himself. After the sports club, he was supposed to drop Mia to Liz's place, wish her a good night and probably not see her again. And he was OK with that up to the point when he realized that she might have her dinner by herself, or worse (with Aaron) on a Saturday night. Before he realized what is going on, he was moving toward Mia in large strides, hoping to catch up before she enters the elevator. He was glad that she accepted his invitation for dinner, but he told himself not to overthink it. The woman likes to eat, and she needs to have dinner. Why would she reject him? It's a free dinner and he knows that she does not hate him, it's better than eating by herself (or with Aaron).

But… why did he bring Mia here? Was it so difficult to drop her off back? She just wants to exercise, treadmill would be enough. Is he attracted to her? Objectively, she is an attractive young lady, but there is something that is making him wish to get to know her better. And that something is not allowing him to say, 'good night' and part ways because there is a chance that he will not see her again and he finds that possibility… unsettling.

Hunter exited the dressing room and found Mia and AJ in the rink. The funny thing is that AJ was on the floor, not moving while Mia stood above him.

Hunter sighed and shook his head while walking toward the rink. AJ will do all sorts of things to score a date.

"Get up!", Hunter sneered at the shameless gym owner.

"I'm not sure I can.", AJ said weakly.

Hunter looked at Mia and raised his eyebrows, silently demanding an explanation.

Mia shrugged. "Don't blame me. AJ said that he knows what he is doing and that I should not hold back."

Hunter glanced at AJ and then at Mia and he was… interested.

A staff member came to the rink and helped Hunter to take AJ to the back room.

Hunter found Mia kicking the sandbag. Based on her moves and speed he can see that she knows what she is doing.

He cleared his throat to get her attention. "Can I interest you in a spar?"

Mia paused. "Can you take on AJ?"

Hunter understood that if he is weaker than AJ, Mia is not interested. He grinned and gestured toward the rink.

"I will take that as a 'yes'.", Mia said and went in the rink.

"Ladies first.", Hunter generously offered first attack to Mia.

It's not that he is a gentleman in the rink, but he does not want to go overboard and hurt her. She is a small woman (and Liz's friend). So, he will let her attack first and adjust his moves to match hers.

"No need to be polite.", Mia sneered. She hates the most when people underestimate her.

Her eyes flashed in satisfaction when she rushed toward Hunter and saw a surprise in his expression as soon as her kick landed at the back of his left knee, almost toppling him.

"You are still standing…", it was Mia's turn to be surprised.

Hunter just got his footing when a barrage of kicks and punches assaulted him, forcing him to defend.

After some time, he managed to launch few attacks but because of Mia's pressure, they were weak and not precise, barely grazing her.

Slowly, Hunter moved closer to Mia and he managed to grab her right leg while her left one was in the air and Mia fell on her back heavily. But what surprised her was that in the next instant, Hunter was on top of her, breathing down her neck. Just what kind of a move is this?

"You are fast.", Hunter said with a grin. His expression showed that he is enjoying.

Mia's lips twitched. "And you are heavy!"

Mia got her leg free and wrapped it around his neck, and in next instant, Hunter was on his belly, and Mia was sitting on his back, and twisting his arm firmly in a lock.

Hunter wanted to move, but he already knows that the slightest move will cause him more pain.

"OK. OK…", he said.

Mia let go of his hand, and Hunter pulled her back down… and he was pressing her on the floor of the rink again.

Mia tried getting one of her legs free, but this time Hunter saw through her.

"You said 'OK'!", Mia protested when she realized that he blocked both of her legs and arms and he is pressing her down with his body! Outrageous!

"I didn't say that I give up.", he said smugly.

Mia licked her lips slowly and looked at Hunter provocatively. "Is this your idea of a date?"

Hunter's grin fell. Only then he realized their position. He swiftly scrambled off from Mia.

Mia got up slowly, stretched her neck and went back into a position to attack.

"How about you show me what you've got?", Mia asked Hunter. "I see that you are holding back. Instead of pinning me down, I prefer to see your attacks. I'm not afraid of few bruises, if your hit can land..."

Hunter smiled and nodded in agreement.

Half an hour later…

Mia and Hunter are sprawled next to each other on the floor of the rink, both breathing heavily while staring at the ceiling.

Other people in the gym gathered around the rink and watched their energetic exchange of blows and dispersed only when they confirmed that Mia and Hunter have no intention to continue.

It was an amazing display of abilities. Hunter and Mia matched each other in skills, Hunter has an advantage in strength while Mia has in speed. So, each of them landed a hit only when the other one lost focus, which was not often.

"Thanks…", Mia panted. "I don't remember the last time I had so much fun on Saturday evening."

"Same here.", Hunter breathed.

The two of them looked at each other, equally out of breath and sweaty and started laughing. This might be one of the most bizarre Saturday evenings for both Mia and Hunter: they stuffed themselves with meat for dinner and then beat up each other and enjoyed it. But the truth is that both of them ARE enjoying.

"What else can you do?", Hunter asked.

"What?", Mia didn't understand the question.

"I already confirmed that you can eat a lot for your size, and your punches are unusually heavy. What else are you hiding?"

"Until I see it I will not believe it?"

Her mind blanked out he when she felt something on her lips. Mia opened her eyes and she saw… Hunter. Why is he kissing her? But… she does not hate it. Heck, she does not remember the last time she enjoyed this much, and what is wrong with spicing up the evening with a kiss?

Mia laced her fingers in Hunter's hair and deepened the kiss.

The way his body moved toward her, told her that he likes it and… 'Oh! His skills are not limited only to his limbs', Mia thought while enjoying the sensation of his gentle kiss which made her relax. A second later, his arms gathered her against him, and Mia was sure that the space between them exploded because everything disappeared, leaving only the two of them and it was... wonderful.
