She thought how Max is unafraid to show his affection toward her in front of others. Last night at the luau he treated her like she is the only person there, and he was beyond caring. And not just luau. Whenever he is by her side, he is the one making her comfortable by taking the initiative and doing things which are not necessarily in his favor, but he is doing it for her. Is that a relationship? Is that loving someone? Probably.
