/ A Path of Bone and Poison 61 The traitor attacks
I did not have time to concentrate on their battle as the two close range combatants had already approached. Micah's scythe was filled with chaotic magical energy as he slashed out towards me. I met the strike with my bone sword, causing sparks to fly. The strength of the attack pushed me back, as I had basically no strength. But it gave me an opportunity to counter attack with a series of bullets from my left hand.
Micah easily blocked the bullets with his scythe, the bullets being sliced before they could strike him. His arrogant voice mocked me as he did so.
"This is all you have Dark elf? And to think the great god was worried." His mocking voice turned into laughter as he once again began his onslaught.
A small distance away Hylia was having her own battle. The giant minotaur was striking rapidly with its axe, but none of the blows were able to connect. She would respond with her arrows, and soon small holes riddled the body of the minotaur. Her battle was the easiest, and it did not take her long to fell her opponent.
She wanted to help me, but I told her to help kill the mage instead. With the two of them fighting together the mage would not be able to last for long.
I managed to observe all of this and communicate with Hylia while fighting Micah. It was true that He had great swordsmanship. He was not only fast but strong as well. However his speed was much lower than mine, and he had nonchsnce of landing a blow on me.
I continued to attack with my blade. I used a feint to manage to land a blow on his side. The serrated veritbra cut into his flesh, tearing away the mixture of carapace and skin. He winced I pain, and I used this chance to cast a bullet at his chest.
The attack hit again, penetrating deep into his pecks. He screamed in rage as he lashed out with his blade, but I easily countered the strike. I jumped back, and cast a grenade that I had prepared. The explosion caused him to cover busnfscr in a coughing fit.
I used to opportunity to enter stealth and come up behind him. I did not wait for him to recover as I used my blade to relieve him of his head. His body fell to the floor just in time for me to see the mage had fallen as well. I nodded at my teammates as I picked up Micah's half elven, half mantis head. Because he did not belong to the dungeon I was able to store it. I picked up his sword as well, handing it to Sierra. It had belonged to her brother after all.
She did not seem to broken up about his loss and only shook her head at his headless corpse.
"I'm not surprised by his betrayal, nor that he killed our parents. He was always a cruel person. The world is better off without him."
She finished the statement by spitting on his corpse. She was truly a different kind of elf. I would have liked to finish the instance there, after all the guild would need to be informed of this. Unfortunately we could not leave until it was cleared, so I rushed the two forward.
The enemies were more of the same after that. We let Sierra take the lead when it came to attacking for the most part, so we could experience what she was capable of. Which is to say a lot. She was a full wizard, and invested heavily into both Intelligence and Wisdom. Her remaining point was put into Vitality, giving her some hp.
Her spells were all truly of the fire type. She had fireball, Fire wall, fire shield, Burning aura, and phoenix flames. The last was a passive spell like my own, but this one allowed her to heal herself with her own fire magic.
She was a beginner fire mage, and it was even her class. The class boosted the damage of her fire type spells. She had obtained a special spell book at a young age, and had the potential to become the scion of fire when she became a full fledged wizard.
Her core was of the fire type, much like my own core it boosted her fire type damage. She focused on the staff as her weapon, so her spells still had a casting time but were much more powerful than mine in comparison. She did not have any blessings, but the only thing that would raise her intelligence or wisdom anyways.
We quickly cleared the first and second floors. The boss of the third floor was a giant minotaur that was basically just a beefed up combo of the mages and warriors we had killed earlier. the fight did not take that long and we were able to quickly defeat it.
The rewards were actually rather lackluster compared to what we normally got, Only Sierra recieved something an actual item while Hylia and I got something called lottery draws that could not be used until we reached C rank.

Creates a shield of fire that is capable of blocking physical and magical attacks. Weak for water type spells. 300 mana cast time 1 second
