Versatile: Alternate World 62 Chapter 62

I stretched my body before changing to my jogging pants and a hoodie shirt. Running around is quite good and I knew how useful it was to jog every morning. Riko might have returned last time after I entered to the Reality Verse. She might be suspecting me to play Reality Verse but since it was hidden and only the PC is available, even if she sneak in, she won't find it unless she bumped on the Reality Verse directly.

I prepared to jog when Riko came out with a groggy eyes. She looked around and saw me near the entrance wearing my running shoes.

"Morning Manato, so early, you are going out?" Riko scratched her head. It was evident that she was a bit tired.

"Yeah, I will go take a jog, I will be back before breakfast," I said.

She nodded in agreement before going straight to the bathroom. I made my last preparations before doing the daily jog. I still quite not get to have a good stamina. My breath is short and I easily get tired. I wipe my sweat before doing another jog. It took me quite a while before arriving in the park where Mrs. Miki Suzuhara is still giving out instructions. Of course, I have participated again and finished the meditation. She was happy to have me do meditation as many teenagers no longer bother doing so.

After the meditation, I jog back home. It was still early and I felt refreshed just by running when my phone rang. I picked it up and saw my father calling. I pushed the answer button and lean my phone to my ear while going near a bench to sit down.

"Hello?"

"Good morning Manato, I never expected you would wake up so early in the morning. I called back home but Riko said you went out so I decided to call your phone," Father seems pleased with what I have done.

"Yeah, I don't particularly like to stay at home forever so I decided to do some exercise every morning," I answered.

"Mmm, that is good," I imagined father nodding continuously behind the phone.

"Anyway, what do you want to discuss with me that you have to call?" I asked. Father usually call whenever he needed something to discuss or there are important matters. From what I can tell, it was not that urgent but not too serious either.

"How is the life being a dorm mother?" my father laughed.

"Ugh, why do you have to ask that, I already said that is annoying," I answered with a grumble.

"Hahaha, well, I just asked Riko and she said that you have a good way of handling things. I am just disappointed because you did not even do a movement to her," Father said, still holding his laughter.

"Shut it, I am not a r*pist dad, why do I have to do that?!" I grumbled.

"Okay, we don't have to argue on that. I know. But that is not what I want to say. I want you to go to the airport and pick up our new tenant. Its another girl but this time, he was accompanied by his brother. Both of them will be your new tenants," Father said.

I sighed in relief. Even though it was another tenant, it was no longer a harem build place now since another male came in to the scene. But why does he need to go to the airport?

"Are they from another country?" I asked.

"Yeah, they are. They are from Japan but they needed to go to Germany to treat the girl who have an unknown sickness. I have no idea what it was but after a few years, she requested to return back to Tokyo. According to her father, they wanted her to interact with her peers so that she won't get lonely during her rehabilitation. She was also accompanied by her brother so that she is always staying away from trouble," Father said in a serious tone.

"I see," I answered in a serious tone. I said goodbye to father and decided to take a half day at school so that I can fetch them from the airport. Father said that they will arrive at 8 in the morning which is also the same time of my classes hours. I quickly hailed a cab and decided to drop early at school and inform my teacher, Mr. Sakano to take a half day.

"No problem. If it was about that, its not a big one anyway. We know that you can still cope up back to the knowledge you missed today. It is much more important to fetch them. It s just a single day so I should just say that you can take a day off, I will mark you excuse in my attendance. Also, you said that they will be attending our school? It's best if you help them process the transfer papers since you knew. Ask Riko too since she is the classroom president, I will talk the other teachers about it," he smiled.

"Thank you, sensei!" I bowed in respect before leaving the faculty room. Mr. Sakano was a very easy going man and even in the past timeline, he is a very good person to talk to with your problems. We know each other since I was a middle school student since he was also a teacher in one of my classes so he really know my behavior naturally.

I quickly hailed a taxi returning back home to inform Riko. Although it is not her business, its still proper to tell her that I won't be accompanying her to school.

The ride in the taxi was fast so I arrived faster than expected. The only problem was it gets nauseating than expected. Curses that taxi, I felt my stomach turn upside down. Even though my body is stronger than the ordinary human, I am still vulnerable to this sickness. I am not some sort of immortal that gets immune to sickness once they started cultivating. Wait, I am not cultivating, I am just meditating.

After a few minutes of calming my churning stomach, I entered the house and saw Riko currently cooking food. She looked around and after seeing me, she smiled and greeted.

"Welcome back!"

"I am home," I said to Riko and taking off my shoes, putting it to the shoe rack.

"Hurry, you need to wear your uniform or we will be late!" Riko said to me as she hurries packing the bento.

"Sorry Riko, I won't be going today. I came back from school as I asked Mr. Sakano to excuse for the time being for skipping class," I said to her.

"Really? Why would you skip?" she asked after finishing the last bento packed on the lunchbox.

"Aye, its about the new occupants of the two free rooms. Father said I needed to fetch them from the airport," I explained.

"I see, well, take this bento instead. Fetching someone on the airport is not easy as you need to wait for them. Also, since those people you mentioned are people whom you haven't meet, it will take some time then, you need to eat it later," she said and pushed the bento into my hands.

"Heh, thanks then. That would be great," I said as I put the bento to the table to fetch a bag for me to carry the bento.

"Hurry up since you still need to get there. You can't let the clients get pissed to you, will you?" she said grinning to me.

"Ah, stop it! I am not supposed to do this anyway!" I frowned.

The airport was crowded as usual. The last time I went here occurred in the past timeline when I decided to go to america to compete on a tournament in Alternate World. Now I return to this airport to meet the new tenants.

"Haiss, why did my fate already have this? This is no longer the same timeline I am currently in. I have no way to predict most of the new events now," I mumbled as I held the signboard so that these people can approach me after. I have been standing in the arrival area of the airport and I have been standing here for 30 minutes.

Just as I was about to sit down, I saw someone wave in my direction. I look behind me if there is anyone behind me but there is no one. I looked again to the person waving at me and that is when I noticed a brown haired boy pushing a wheelchair in which, a girl with white hair.

"Ack!" I felt some fluctuations in my head after seeing the girl. Sh*t! What the hell? I pursed my lips together before meditating my mana to help reduce the pain. I look at the two again and for some reason, the pain suddenly subsided. The boy slowly arrived and approached me with the girl being pushed from the wheelchair.

"Are you perhaps Mr. Manato Tsukasa?" the boy smiled.

I can't help but look at the two of them and my eyes focused on the white haired girl. For some reason I felt that she is somewhat familiar like I have seen her before.
