Benedict saw the red curtain slowly opening and the lights around the hall going off as the light was focused on the main stage

"I'm here"

He heard Don's voice in his head and prepared himself for the auction.

The moment the curtain was raised completely, Benedict saw a familiar face, Whitehoney Amara. He could literally hear the sound of people gasping for air when they saw Amara as she was dressed in a pearl white dress and looked stunningly beautiful.

"I'm glad that Arrora is not here to see this"

Since the girls living in the Everlight castle had become good friends, they knew everyone's past hence she knew about the connection between Arrora and Amara.

"Is Amara there?"

"Yeah Don, it seems she's a pretty good hostess"

"Hello my dear people of Zenith, Welcome to yet another fantastic auction of Thousand Arms, I'm Amara, your beloved hostess"

She let out a seductive smile and gesture towards the crowd which made many youngsters heart skip a beat and by the looks of it, Benedict even found some old men drooling 

"She's really beautiful for a human"

Gael commented on Amara's charm but before Benedict could say anything, Amara started to tell the rules of the auction

"My lords, as you may already know, this auction is a one of a kind because" Amara paused and looked at the crowd for a moment while the crowd started to murmur about the ancient keys

"Yes, you will have the chance to get not only one but two ancient keys for the dungeon which is filled with ancient items and artifacts"

The crowd began to cheer and shout as Amara gestured them to calm down 

"Also, we have too many great items but first I must tell you the rules, to avoid the confusion of currency conversion, we only accept life energy stones also known as Magical stones and gold coins for some items"

Unlike Don who had a horde of magical stones left by the Dragon King, most of the rank 4 kingdoms had no life energy stones, and the rank 3 kingdoms also not an exception to this fact.

"And the thousand arms provide security details for a fair price if you want to transport your items safely"

Since the powerful people often rob or kill people after the auction and steal the auctioned item without spending a penny, Thousand Arms introduced this method as they provide security for the buyer and no one in the clear mind would mess with the major power such as Thousand Arms.

"Now let's begin the auction with this"

As she said, Amara removed the cloth covering the box beside her to reveal the first item.

The item was a vial of golden liquid that radiated a bright light that filled the entire hall

"This is my dear people, the tears of the sun. This vial is personally concocted by the famous alchemist, HAkor himself. This vial has the ability to provide a shield around the user for a day that could withstand an attack spell cast by a peak grandmaster "

"Don, do you need this?"

"The starting price of this vial is, a hundred thousand gold coins and each bid must be twenty thousand gold coins more"

"Hundred and forty thousand"

"Hundred and sixty"

The people started to bid more and more but the people in the VIP rooms didn't bid because everyone knew that more worthy items would be revealed later in the auction.

"Sold to buyer number 23"

After selling the vial for a whopping amount of gold coins, the guards brought another cloth-covered box. And then she removed the cloth to reveal a blood-red pill

"This is an ancient pill found in the Mysian ruins, our experts have confirmed that consuming the pill would enhance your cultivation to the next level for a short amount of time and the good news is the pill have no side effects "

Having no side effects made the pill extremely valuable to the combat mages and even some of the people in VIP rooms looked interested to bid

"Don, what about this?"

"I don't think that this pill has no side effects"

"So?"

"Don't bid"

"The starting price of this pill is, fifty thousand low life-energy stones and each bid must be twenty thousand stones more"

"Seventy thousand"

"Hundred thousand"

Just like before the auction for the pill continued until someone from the VIP room bought it for three hundred thousand.

After the pill, the auction house showed many items that Don had no interest to buy until a big rusty old metal pipe that looked like a canon appeared.

"Your majesty, Benedict buy this no matter the cost"

"Ken, is that you?"

"Yes Benedict, his majesty asked me to join in incase the auction house has something interesting to us"

Ken's voice was breaking up as Benedict could hear a sound of a storm in his head

"What is that sound?"

"Nothing, it's a snowstorm here don't mind this, you must get that item"

Benedict had no time to ask more questions as Amara started the initial bit and fortunately, the item was said to be an ancient item but she didn't say anything about its function or even whether it would work or not.

The initial bid for the canon was only a twenty thousand low life energy stones and only some of the people looked interested in bidding

"Seventy thousand"

Benedict started to bid as another voice bid against him from a VIP room

"Ninety thousand"

"Hundred and twenty"

"Hundred and fifty"

And after a long battle of bidding Benedict won the canon for two hundred and fifty thousand low-quality life energy stones and he was quite confused about why Ken made him buy this piece of junk.

"The next item is the sword of destiny"

Amara said as she showed a long sword made of Azrite, one of the strongest metal in this world, and just by looking at the reactions of the crowd, Benedict could understand that the sword is going to cause a huge commotion.

"Just like the previous items, this sword was found in ruin and according to the experts, the sword can be wielded by only the destined one.I don't know what that means but if I was you, I'll buy this sword in a heartbeat because I can feel the power radiating from it"

It was not a lie as even Benedict could see the energy spikes around the sword and obviously most of the VIP members looked very excited to buy the sword

"The starting bid is a hundred thousand medium quality life energy stones, each bid must be fifty thousand more than the previous one"

"Three hundred thousand"

"Four hundred"

"Six hundred"

The bid was going crazy as every major power in the empire started to bid for the sword as Benedict asked Don about the sword

"No, it'll attract too much attention towards us, let someone else have it"

"The Archeron Kingdom bid six fifty"

The moment the crowd heard the name Archeron Kingdom, every single one who was bidding until now became silent, even the Cold Moon Palace was not an exception

Benedict tried to look at the source of the voice but the room was out of his view. Noticing the bidders had stepped back from placing the bids, Amara frowned a little and began the count to sell

"And the sword now belongs to the bidder number 17"

"Thank you, everyone"

The voice said again as Amara moved to the next item on the list to auction

"I hope they won't do that to the ancient keys"

"They will"

Although he didn't want to admit that fact, Benedict knew the Archeron kingdom and many other major powers would use their status and power to bully the bidders

"Don't worry Benedict, I've already put Joel's men among the crowd just for situations like this"

Don learned this simple trick in the divine continent as he provided the service of increasing the bid so their prices would go higher without interruptions like this. Of course, he had to face the wrath of powerful people for doing that but with the help of the auction house and Knight, he would escape with a hefty wage every single time.

And if Don had the teleportation array in the divine continent, he would have created a group of people under him to do this as the main thing and earned a lot of wealth without risking his life.

After the sword, there were many spells and ancient items auctioned and sold for a humongous amount of life energy stones but Don didn't buy any of those except for a special type of metal sheet that Benedict bought for one of his personal projects.

He and Reghys were working on a prototype that could extract the battle energy in the atmosphere and create pure battle energy stones. And if the project succeeded, Don didn't have to use his limited battle energy stones in his space ring and with the special metal sheet he just bought, Benedict was one step closer to complete the prototype.

"And now before we take a little break,let's begin the auction for this rather exotic item"

Benedict was shocked to see the guards dragging a group of orcs to the stage.

"Orcs"

"How many of those are there?"

Benedict started to count the orcs after hearing Don and saw a total of twelve orcs on the stage

"Buy them, no matter the cost"
