"FOOL!" Zaharias commented loudly as he forcefully stretched his dark, thick whip, causing a faint cracking sound.

Seeing this, Kim Shin leisurely unsheathed his constellations devourer sword, before he positioned it over his right shoulder, with a posture of about to thrust.

'It's time for revenge!'

'No way! He couldn't stand a chance at that demon's prowess!' The man who's behind Zaharias worriedly thought, he doesn't believe that Kim Shin could win this fight.

As the silence filled the surroundings, Kim Shin and Zaharias stared at each other without moving an inch, as if waiting for something. However, Zaharias couldn't take it anymore, he believed that Kim Shin won't be able to endure his power.

Breaking the silence, Zaharias, raised his whip before he forcefully lashed his whip towards Kim Shin's face who's 5-meters away from him, causing a whooshing sound as it split the air.

Seeing the incoming attack, Kim Shin quickly ducked his head and immediately dashed forward, smoothly dodging Zaharias's first assault that caused a loud breaking sound in the air, failing to hit the target.

'I need to close the distance, or else I won't be able to deal damage!' He thought, knowing that this is the basic action when battling a person using a long-range damager.

With a solemn look, Kim Shin reflexively jumped backward, easily dodging the whip as it strongly landed on the ground, causing a loud sound, followed by web-like cracked on the floor.

Snorting, displeased at Kim Shin's slippery, Zaharias hurriedly pulled his whip before lashing it down to Kim Shin once more.

As the whip flew with much faster speed compared earlier, Kim Shin couldn't dodge it, forcing him to take a defend from the swift attack.

Sparks scattered everywhere as Kim Shin once again was pushed few feet backward.

'Am I chewing more than I can? No, I don't believe that!' Kim Shin couldn't help but think about it. However, he hurriedly erased that thought as he slightly bent his knees, before sprinting forward.

Gesturing his left hand like a gun, Kim Shin then uttered. "Air Bullet!"

The air suddenly converged on his left-hand index finger, before it began to release a swift wind bullet thrice in succession towards the grinning Zaharias.

'Laughable! Hmph!' Zaharias snort inwardly as he hurriedly pulled his whip.

A loud explosion reverberated, causing a cloud of smokes, as it instantly engulfed Zaharias entire body.

Hearing the loud explosion, the other captured humans raised their heads in confusion as they didn't know what's happening. And to their surprise, Zaharias, the demon who they wished to die a horrible death was actually on the defensive situation.

'What's happening?!' Confusion filled their minds, as hope came back in their spiritless eyes.

However, contrary to their hopeful expectation, the man behind Zaharias, clearly witnessed everything.

"He's not dead yet!" He indicated with all the strength left in him.

"What?!" One of the hopeful prisoners blurted out in shock.

Kim Shin, on the other hand, began to bolt forward, he knew that it wasn't enough to kill Zaharias with a simple magic attack.

"HAHA. Of course, I won't be the warden of this prison cell, if I'm a pushover." An unpleasant voice resounded as the cloud of smoke dissipated into thin air, revealing the unscratched Zaharias with a transparent apple-green barrier around him.

'Magic Shield?' Kim Shin thought as he saw the grinning Zaharias inside the transparent barrier. However, despite the situation, he kept running forward.

"So what if you have a magic shield, stand this attack if you can!" Kim Shin declared in a loud voice, as he suddenly pushed his feet forcefully on the ground, pouncing toward Zaharias, and with a short distance, he raised his constellations devourer over his head as he swung down his sword from top-right to bottom-left while shouting, "Black Crescent Slash!!!"

Fwoosh!

2-meter tall pitch-black projectile appeared after Kim Shin swung his sword that swiftly flew towards Zaharias, causing an ear-splitting sound as it cut through the air.

BOOM! Fwoosh!

"N-No, how can a filthy human like you have a powerful skill like that?!" Zaharias stammered in disbelief as he watched the black projectile slammed on his magic shield.

Frowning his eyebrows, Zaharias watched in anxiousness, afraid at the power of Kim Shin's skill. However, it didn't take that long before his expression eased as he began to laughed in ecstasy.

"HAHA. You've scared me there for a moment. Human was still a human, weaklings!" Zaharias sighed before ridiculing the silent Kim Shin as he continued laughing like crazy.

A faint cracking sound abruptly stopped Zaharias from laughing, 'What is that?'

A sound same like cracking mirror could be heard indicating that he hasn't heard it wrong, following the source of the sound, Zaharias found a few centimeter cracks where the black crescent projectile continued slamming on his magic shield.

"I-It can't be real..." Zaharias uttered with a wide-eyed expression. Gaping in disbelieve.

The cracking on the magic shield continues, forcing Zaharias to subconsciously backed up.

It didn't take that long as the magic shield protecting Zaharias broke into number of pieces as the pitch-black projectile eventually vanished into thin air, followed by a loud explosion, causing a strong gale that filled the room, forcing everyone to close their eyes as they defend their arms before themselves, except to Kim Shin who immediately took the opportunity to ran toward the dumbfounded Zaharias.

With a swift and focused movement, Kim Shin instantly arrived before Zaharias as he whispered at the old man's ears before thrusting his sword to Zaharias's heart. "This is for giving me a horrible experience!

At the Gythona Village's gate, hundreds of leather armored guard with a spear on their right hands, could be seen properly standing before the gate with serious expression on their face, they are going to face an early beast hordes this year.

On the village's wall, a 2-meter tall dark-brown man with a long face and long nose, fully armed by a green full plate armor with azure cape draped over his shoulder, could be seen standing atop of the wall, looking at the distance.

It's the guard's captain Khrusz!

He couldn't believed that he's the captain of these idiots soldiers, to believed to someone without appropriate investigation.

"N-No, sir. Forgive me!" The soldier hurriedly apologized, afraid to incite the anger of his superior even more.

"You fools! Go and find the person who made this mess. I'll give all a minute, and if you don't find that rat? then, I will make sure that y'all will experience horrible training." Khrusz's menacing voice sends a chilling feeling on the soldier's back as it shivered in horror.

'Where is the key? We're running out of time!' Kim Shin thought as he inspects Zaharias's corpse.

Kim Shin decided to escape for now. After fighting Zaharias, he comprehend that fighting a couple of levels higher than him was a risky move. He was overconfident on his skills and experience in fighting.

"Shin, did you found the key?" Jonathan asked Kim Shin after helping to remove the shackles on every prisoners.

"That's good! We are good to go."

"Ha... I never expect to see the outside world once again." One of the younger men spoke in a soft voice as he couldn't stop himself from sobbing.

"Enough of that, we're safe first!" Kim Shin interrupted the crying man. He then turned to face Jonathan who's in a better condition. "Uncle, do you still remember the plan?"

Wearing a leather armor, black pants, added with unscratched square face, Jonathan was simply a middle-aged man with a fatherly appearance. "Yes, you don't need to worry about us. Worry about yourself, don't be reckless."

Nodding his head, Kim Shin then spoke, "Yes, I won't. But... Please be careful on the way."

"Mm."

"Okay, See you later!" Kim Shin waved his hand in goodbye as he ran towards the village gate. However, before he could ran far away, Kim Shin heard different voices, thanking and wishing him luck.

"Thank you so much for saving us!"

"Please be careful!"

"We will wait for you, Good luck!"

Despite hearing their voices, Kim Shin continued moving forward.

'Please be safe!'

'Now, all I need to do is, distracting the guards until Uncle Jonathan and others left the village!'
