He was just teasing Teddy, he doesn't have any intention to leave him behind, but he didn't expect that the pale white cub was willing to this. He didn't even hesitate to sacrifice his own freedom.

'It seems like I didn't trust you enough. Forgive me, Buddy.' Kim Shin apologized to Teddy in his mind as he look at the shining pale white cub.

As he stared at the cute pale white cub, he unconsciously broke into smile.

'Don't worry, Buddy. I won't betray your expectations and trust in me!' He thought before accepting the role of Teddy's master.

As he just accepted it, Teddy suddenly turned to a ball of light which jolted Victor and Clay, causing the former to gape in amazement and the latter with widened eyes, as they watched the ball of light floating in the air, before piercing through Kim Shin's temple with a speed of light.

'So, my expectation is right…' He thought when he saw the system's notification.

'But… cub?' He didn't know why the system stated that Teddy is a cub.

Like most of role-playing games, Yggdrasil also has a pet system that differentiate into two types, the mount and battle pet.

Pet mount, given its name, a pet used for faster transportation, it's either riding or flying.

The war pets, on the other hand, are a companion pet, they can participate in battles, gain experience and eventually level up. Reaching levels 1, 5, 10, 20, and 30 unlocks new abilities, though each pet may only select three of their five possible abilities to use in battle.

Though it stopped at that, war pets could still learn more skills with the help of Pet Skill Book. Rarely, war pets could also learn skills through experience, unlocking their hidden skills within their bloodline.

Pet also has different qualities, common, uncommon, rare, unique and legendary.

He's not sure, if there's a mythic or Divine pet out there.

Although he knew about that, Kim Shin is still confused at what happened, how did Teddy able to do this? How the heck he get a pet without a War Pet Training skill?

War Pet Training is a passive skill allows you to train, fight and track war pets. A skill that can be learned from the War Pet Trainer.

Without any idea of what to do, Kim Shin opened his system. He then found the Pet Tab under the Party Tab. However, it was grayed out, indicating that is locked and not useable for the time being.

He sighed as his excitement died down.

"What happened to Teddy?" Victor questioned Kim Shin. At first, he was worried that something bad is happening at the white cub, however, when he saw the unworried expression of Kim Shin, he instantly understood that everything's alright. Nevertheless, it couldn't clear his curiosity about what happened.

"He became my pet and… I became his master." Kim Shin simply answered.

However, Victor was still clueless about it. "What do you mean?"

Kim Shin sighed in helplessness. He knew that Victor was unknown to this kind of idea. Hence, he looked toward Clay who's on the right side of Victor and said, "You could ask Clay about that." Which responded with a nodding head of Clay.

"Then, are you guys sure about your decisions?" Kim Shin asked one more time.

Clay and Victor resolutely answered, without any ounce of façade.

As he saw the firm expression in their eyes, Kim Shin heaved a sighed once again. He could understand that they are firm and determined at their decisions.

"Alright…" Kim Shin said and nodded as he scratched the back of his head and broke into a warm smile.

"Well, I think this is a farewell… for now?" He said.

"Yes, Young Master. You don't need to worry, I will found you as soon as possible…" Clay respectfully said.

On the other hand, Victor immediately rushed to Kim Shin and held the latter's left hand with his both wrinkled hands, which startled Kim Shin.

Although a bit surprised with Victor's act, Kim Shin didn't pull his hand this time like what he normally do.

"Young Man, no. Kim Shin… Thank you. Thank you very much for all your help. Though our first meeting was not that pleasing, it couldn't erase the fact that you're the reason why I'm still alive and managed to reach this stage. M-maybe…"

Victor's eyes began to moist while talking as he stammered.

Then, you're certainly not standing here right now." Kim Shin explained which touched the deepest feelings of Victor, and the old man broke into tears.

Without further ado, Kim Shin turned around and trod toward the massive dark liquid door, before suddenly stopped when he's few feet away from the door.

"Well, I don't know what's gonna happen after I got in. But, always remember to watch your back. See ya!" Kim Shin mysteriously said as he waved them goodbye and walked through the liquid door.

Instantly, after Kim Shin entered the last floor, a loud voice of a man resound behind Clay and Victor, followed by explosions.

"Attack!!!"

"Fireball!"

"Sharp arrow!"

'An ambush?!' Victor exclaimed in his mind as he immediately turned around just to see the incoming fireballs and raining arrows.

'Shit. I'm dead!' He cursed internally as he closed his mind, knowing that he won't be able to escape his impending death.

However, before the fireballs and arrows hit them, the system's loud notification rang out.

"Where am I? What are you doing here?" Kim Shin immediately asked as he looked around, but he found himself in an endless white room.

"Straight to the point huh? I like that. Well, to be exact you're in the awarding room obviously, and except that I'm your tutorial guide, I'm also the one who's going to give your award…"

"Awarding Room? How about the 10th floor?" Kim Shin puzzledly questioned. He's expecting to fight more formidable opponent, but he didn't expect that this will be the end of this event.

It's too anticlimactic!

"The time in this tower is slower compared to the outside world, which means they are already one week advance than you."

Three items appeared and floating in the air inside a translucent purple sphere.

"The first item is, a pet egg, you can acquire a random pet egg with quality of uncommon to legendary grade, but just a friendly reminder, getting a legendary quality is almost an impossible feat," Minsk said as he pointed his little finger on the plain white egg.

"The next item is, a skill book, randomly acquiring skill book type with a grade of common to unique, with a small chance of acquiring a legendary grade, and like what I previously stated, it will be hard to get it."

Kim Shin frowned at Minsk's words as if Minsk has a hidden meaning under his words.

"The last item is a special grade long sword. You won't need to rely in luck to acquire legendary skill or pet, this one is already fixed. Well, the choice is still in yours." Minsk ended as he stared at Kim Shin.

'I see…' Kim Shin thought, finally understood what Minsk is trying to say. 'You want me to choose that weapon?'

After being silent for a moment.

"Hahaha. Okay then, I want that sword, give me that sword." Kim Shin chuckled before staring directly at Minsk's eyes before stating.

"Hehehe. You made a wise decision." Minsk answered with a meaningful smile, and with a simple flicked of his finger, the items in the air immediately vanished, followed with a system's notification.

As he received the sword, Kim Shin immediately brought out it from his inventory.

A long black sword appeared on his right hand, the sword's hilt is color black and at the end of the hilt is a ying-yang symbol. While the blade of the sword is dark, it also has white circles, connected to other circles like constellations imprinted on it.

'Since the event already ended, I could appraise now once again.'

Hence, without any hesitation, Kim Shin appraised his new sword.
