Meanwhile, back at SafeHaven, everyone was sprawled in their sleeping bags on the floor of the hearth and a fireplace was burning to keep the hearth warm. It was a modest hearth, none too fancy with wooden window panes and a sliding wooden main door to keep the wild rabbits from hopping inside and shit all over the place.
