My Queen Of Terra 62 ENJOYING WHILE IT LASTS

"Are you truly sure you cannot come with me? It is you who suggested that I should not leave anymore without you."

Zoe pouted and stomped her shapely feet. It was merely an hour left before her scheduled free tour with Koby. She just answered yes to his apologetic gesture of inviting her out because she thought she would be with Erin too.

"I'm sorry, Twinnie. If it wasn't for this emergency thingy, you would know I'll be with you. But tomorrow is our day. And I'm the event coordinator. I need to polish everything tonight, so count me out." Erin breathlessly replied.

Her mobile phone was in between her shoulders and her ears. Her graceful hands were restless, typing something on her workstation.

"Then maybe I could just support you then. I'll just return the scuba gear some other time." Zoe beamed as she organized Erin's clutters inside their hotel room.

Everything is a chaotic mess as Erin sprawled her props on the polished floor. Erin has been as busy as a bee since the event is hardly a half-day away.

"Are you positive on that one?" Erin raised one expressive eyebrow as she peeked at Zoe's antics while her fingers were nevertheless on the laptop.

"Do you genuinely wish to exchange those few precious moments of rest with a gorgeous hunk with exhausting hours of work?"

"You'd better believe it." Zoe shrugged. "I don't feel like being alone with a guy." She continued picking up her trash and putting it in the bin.

"Why not?" Erin responded as she sipped on her organic coffee before going back to her portable computer. "He seemed nice. I'm convinced you'll be safe. Besides, he's good-looking too."

Zoe ruminated about it. He indeed made a pleasant turn by giving her the scuba gears. On top of that, he contacted the rescue team in trying to get her out of a tight spot. And now he was offering a free tour as a humble apology even if he was not required to.

In addition to that, he was not that bad. He was tall and has an athletic built with clean-cut hair and a pointed nose.

Erin glanced at Zoe, who stopped in her tracks as she was yet contemplating if she would go or not.

As much as Erin has an urge for Zoe to be by her side, she preferred her to enjoy her stay on this lovely island more. And spend lesser time with her childhood foe.

"Aside from that, Savannah will also be there. You actually want to join me?" Erin grinned at her, shoving Zoe out.

As speedily as she heard her ominous name, Zoe dropped Erin's litters and blurted right off. "Actually, I'm already heading out."

Like a bat from its dank cave, she picked up her precious purse instead, and a paper bag with the scuba gears that she borrowed from Koby.

She was about to leave when she asked Erin. "Do you want me to grab your dinner or something?"

Erin chortled. "Sure. Just an avocado sandwich at Subway will do." At that point, Zoe was closing the door behind when she shouted."And one large coffee Americano. No cream and sugar, please!"

Zoe simpered as she strode away. Erin was undoubtedly trying her best to make this event work.

'I wonder where she's coming from.' She muttered to herself as she exited the luxury hotel. Then she went on to one out of the lovely beaches of Lord Howe Island.

She was a little behind the schedule and Koby was up to then waiting for her. He was simply wearing a hat with a light blue polo shirt and khaki chinos. But the fashionable ladies around were all ogling at him.

It's a good thing that she slipped on one of her favorite dresses. It was a spaghetti-strapped black sunflower boho dress. She felt great whenever she got on it. She wouldn't feel awkward next to him.

She jogged towards him and as she did so, her long brown hair bounced, revealing their luster and shine.

It didn't escape Koby's notice as she stared in awed admiration at the stunning beauty approaching her.

Without a second thought, Zoe bowed as soon as she reached Koby. "I'm sorry I wasn't on time. Erin couldn't be with us. She has some errands to do."

"Don't trouble yourself about it, Ms. Cheng. I'll make sure you'll enjoy your time today." Koby smiled as he showed his appreciation. He extended his hand. "Let me carry that for you."

"Oh, just call me Zoe." Zoe was reminded of the scuba gears that she was about to return to him. "Here. Thank you again."

"It's a pleasure. I hope I was able to help." Koby responded with a radiant smile. He stretched his hand showing her the specific direction in which they should go to see the birds.

Zoe grinned and strutted a minute step ahead of him. 'He was indeed nice. Maybe I really don't have to fret. I'll just have fun with my remaining hours on this beautiful land.' She whispered to herself.
