My Queen Of Terra 51 WRONG TIMING

Raigon stared into her oceanic blue eyes. His lips twitched upward as he saw her flushed face. Her crimson red cheeks were splashing color to her ethereal details.

She truly was an epitome of classic but innocent beauty. Rarer than all the unique gemstones in the City of Terra combined.

It was not at all tarnished by what Zoe endured after the Great Blood Bath. Or what she may have suffered after that tragic event in her life.

She may have changed from her bubbly, childlike personality when he first met her. At this point in time, she may seem to be tougher, easy to be irritable, and wary to a degree.

Yet, her soul is still the same Zoe that he adored then. And he has no plans on letting go of her, especially in the present circumstances. It was the exact opposite.

A lot of things have happened since they encountered each other again. And he was determined more than ever to stay by her side and defend her from her tormentors. Regardless of who that was or where they came from.

He thought about how she may be racked in agony throughout the years. As he reflected on while gazing at her lovely eyes, he cupped her cheeks and gently caressed it with her thumb.

Suddenly, love sparks fell from heaven and urged him to conduct himself in a way that he has not done before.

His palms were sweating slightly while his mind was repeating the same sentence over and over. "Don't do this… Don't do this."

But the sound of his heart was beating so loudly he could not concentrate. If he will not consummate it, he will explode.

He slowly leaned into her. As he did so, he once again looked into Zoe's exquisite features. She was not pushing him away. Her sweet lips seemed to be inviting him to taste it.

But he noticed the reddening of her face and the slight sheen of sweat on her chin, dewlaps, and forehead. Her delicate hands were stiff as a board on his chest. She was hesitating.

He froze for a few seconds. He doesn't want to get ahead of her.

His jaw clenched before drawing in a deep breath. He closed his eyes and pulled Zoe closer to his warm chest.

"I'll wait when you're ready," he whispered in her ears with a low voice, mustering all the strength he got.

And in a quick move, he lifted her so that she could stand on both feet.

At that point, they were both standing on one piece of rock. Raigon was not removing his hand from her waist. He glanced at her expression, trying to check on what she was thinking.

She was not saying anything. She must be dumbfounded by his actions. Her eyebrows were furrowed, probably because he didn't finish what she's expecting he would do.

But her dainty hands which were on his chest were already on his sturdy shoulders, near the rear of his neck. She was frequently swallowing. She bit her lips, making it redder and more luscious to his hungry eyes.

'Those lips… Those tortuous lips,'

Raigon's veins were now bulging from his forehead as he exhaled short shallow breaths.

His heart was beating crazily in his chest. Warm emotions suffocated him. His fingers were aching to squeeze her waist.

"Help me. I can't contain it any longer," He pleaded with a hoarse voice as his one hand traced her back and pulled her closer to him. His other hand grabbed the slender nape of her neck, so he could press his desirous lips on hers.

Suddenly, a motorboat whirring buzzed in both their ears which startled both of them. They were alone on the hidden tunnel known only to the royal family. Who could it be? Was it Azra or the assailant who was after Zoe?

Zoe almost fell from the rocks again. This time around, she was rooted safely in Raigon's arms. Raigon tightened his hold on her back. But this time, he gently placed her head on his chest, securing her balance.

She snuggled her head deeper in his chest and her hands flowed around his back with trembling hands.

'She must be afraid of this intruder.' Raigon gritted his teeth. He was a little disappointed that his desired moment didn't happen. But what dismayed him more is the chance of encountering Zoe's attacker again.

In an instant, Raigon twisted position, so he could face the man behind the motorboat. Zoe was now clutching behind his back in fear.

'You cannot touch my woman!' He growled in his thoughts.
