My Queen Of Terra 49 A PERFECT TIME FOR A KISS

"Oh, no! Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Zoe's inquisitive remarks suddenly changed into anxious ones as she carefully looked at his helpless savior in terrible pain.

"I don't know," Raigon continued on with his fake unbearable agony.

It is true that he struggled to aggressively go after the wicked man who vainly tried to kill Zoe. But as soon as he caught sight of him, he fled as fast as he could away from him. What honestly tormented him was seeing Zoe in that vulnerable state.

"Let me check. Sit properly." In a split second, she shifted from a feeble victim into her doctor mode.

Zoe was about to check on his wounded arm. But he abruptly hid it away.

"Here, it hurts here." He motioned her to check his other arm.

Raigon gazed thoughtfully at her as she examined him up. She had no makeup on, and her lips were pale. Her lovely hair was disheveled and dripping wet. Her hands that were handling him were wrinkled and frigid.

But her generous heart glowed from within her. It made her appear as a guardian angel who was always there to soothe and uplift him whenever he needed it.

Zoe blushed as she saw him staring at him, producing a pinkish glow to her blanched face. "Hey," she blurted out. She froze from thrusting his arm.

"I'm listening." He said as he smiled reassuringly at her, divinely revealing his dimples on both his glowing cheeks. Zoe colored up all the more, turning from rosy pink to crimson red.

She jostled him as she uttered, "There's nothing wrong with you."

"Ouch! Is that so?" Raigon feigned a surprise response. He rotated his brawny shoulders and swiveled his head sidewards.

He cleared her throat and deviated the topic, so she could not inquire anymore. "Why are you under water, anyway?"

Zoe blinked her glittering eyes. "Mrs. Gong!" She exclaimed and stood up on her feet in a fraction of a millisecond. At that moment, she was reminded of her motivation for submerging herself in the cruel sea of death.

"Mrs. Gong?" Raigon furrowed her prominent eyebrows. That surname sounded familiar.

"Without a doubt, she was with me on the boat. But  like a shot, she jumped into the waters and disappeared as quick as a lightning." She paced back and forth with her fists on her ample waist.

Raigon stroked his chin. 'Mrs. Gong. Mrs. Gong.'

"Do you recognize the woman whom I resuscitated a few days ago?" She queried on him as she narrowed her eyes.

Raigon recalled that specific incident. He would never forget it. Because he had not witnessed a cardiopulmonary resuscitation before, he thought Zoe was kissing another woman passionately in the midst of the crowd. He later learned that she was merely resurrecting her to life.

Because he was dumbfounded by Zoe's scandalous actions, he wasn't able to get a good glimpse at the dear lady.

"I remember her. But not that clear," he mused loudly. He straightened up and glanced cautiously all over the cavern.

As if she sensed what he is doing, Zoe responded to him. "No one's here. I already looked here and there a while ago."

Raigon recalled the band of men several miles from where they are. 'Are they perhaps searching for Mrs. Gong? Did they find her?' 

He pondered with his rear towards Zoe and his grave expression in front of the inner chambers of the cavern.

'What about the one who was hunting Zoe? Is he from the same troop?'

He was supposed to interrogate her. But he didn't notice that Zoe was stepping forward to where he was at. At full tilt, he swiveled so he could have a good view of her. Because of his sudden moves, Zoe lost her balance. 

She was a few inches to falling backward. At the speed of light, Raigon extended his muscular arm to catch her. Zoe held on his mighty chest and froze, gazing at him. He was just a few inches apart from her.

For a moment, time seemed to move to a standstill. He had always dreamed of securing Zoe in his arms like this while being captivated by her sweet pretty features. 

He wanted to let her know how he felt for her ever since their unusual encounter when they were still young. 

And that hasn't wavered a bit until now. It actually grew stronger and more passionate than before.

He fantasized about brushing strands of hair away from her fair and lovely contours. He fancied the possibility of cupping it with his hand and kissing those soft, luscious lips. 

He glanced at her, who was also staring back at her with her mouth partly open. His affectionate heart pumped as a frenzy as he gently lowered his head to hers.
