"Talk about cold." Her voice was almost muffled with strong winds blowing by, every now and then. It chilled her to the bones, and she had frost bite in her legs. They were a dull blue in colour, with dried blood in parts. She had long lost her shoes. To be honest, she hadn't even seen what appearance the current her had. She could tell that she had a small body, pale skin and white blonde hair. Eyes, she had no idea. It's not as if she could ask the two people trailing behind her.
Yes, two people. They were none other than the lovey-dovey couple Xiao Xiao and Wei Ling. As a loner, Yui was quite annoyed seeing them both whisper sweet nothings to each other, kiss at times and show the obvious signs of lust at intervals.
And why where they here?

Yui curses herself for entering the cave. Not only did she lose a good cookie, but also had some unwanted guests tagging along. They had brought up the excuse of following Yui because she has ruined their home, and now they had nowhere to go, but Yui knew it wasn't the case.
Those two were hiding things, and their nervousness showed that clearly. Biting their lips, fiddling, eyes darting here and there. Yui had learnt a lot of things in her previous life, and one of them was detecting liars. Being a mystery genre fanatic, she had often took up the challenge of solving mysteries she found on the net, and hence, anonymously earned money for information. That didn't leave her alone from the scrutiny of many.
There were numerous attempts of murders, but Yui had already been used to them. She would knock out most of them with just a blow on the head. If things got serious, she would bring out her licenced gun.
A gun. Yeah, our Yui was a badass.
(*•̀ᴗ•́*)
She never had the intention to kill anyone. Except that one time.
But those are matters of the past. They were behind her. For her, living life to the fullest means the most. She, more than anyone else, knew how valuable life was.
And that's why she struggled. Even with a shitty system, she would survive. Was she optimistic? No, she was a pessimistic realist.
Currently, she wasn't feeling much optimistic, and her saliva grew dry in mouth. There was so much snow, but no water.
Her stomach growled, but she paid no heed to it. Thinking about food, would only make her more hungry. Her eyes used the skill She finally spotted a large tree trunk shaped like a cave. Her foot dragged but she carried on. Soon enough, they reached the spot. Sighing, she looked back at the lovebirds and said, "We'll rest here for today." She turned and shifted a branch to enter the small dome-like structure. The tree cave was actually like an imaginary cave. It had dark walls and a few water droplets dripped from above. Yui looked up in delight. Water! She was thirsty to drink up a whole gallon of water. Kneeling down, she checked the smell of the water. It didn't seem pungent, but they wouldn't know if there were any bacterias in it. "One of you, go build a fire. We need to boil water and cook. Quick." Yui said, busy examining the water. If she had any indicators, it would have been more easy to find out. Unfortunately, it seemed as if she wasn't born in modern world. Wei Linv picked up some dry sticks and stacked them. Xiao Xiao rubbed two stones together and after a lot of efforts, a spark finally was visible and she dropped it slowly in the pile of sticks. Yui took a container out from Xiao' s bag, and filled it with water. Setting it aside to boil, she pulled out another container, and poured out water for cleaning. Both of them had a confused look on seeing her actions and looked doubtfully at her. She sighed and replied, "The water may not look dirty but we can't be sure about bacterias, boiling will kill all the germs in it. And I'm setting aside some water for cleaning. Don't just directly use water from the pool. Got it?" They nodded fervently. Xiao Xiao had a serious look, while Wei Ling had an admiring look on. They were stunned by her knowledge. After all, she looked years younger than them. They wanted to ask her age, but didn't feel like they deserved to. Xiao Xiao was even more hesitant, as she remembered her behaviour of the day before and felt embarrassed. So, it was Wei Ling who took up the initiative to ask Yui. "Uh... Honorable Miss, may we ask what's your age?" "Hmm? Me? I'm nineteen years old." "....." (╯'□')╯︵ ┻━┻ What? They did hear right? Nineteen?!? But... She looked like a thirteen year old at the most. Nineteen? Maybe, that would explain her superiority in knowledge and power to them. Yui, once again, had forgotten that she wasn't in her old body. Scratching her hair, she took some water from the cleaning bowl, and splashed it on her face. Her palms cleaned off all the muck that had been sticking to her pores, as well as the snow from her frost bitten feet. She let out a sigh in relief, as the watwr was relatively warm than the outside temperature. Turning around, she looked at the couple and said, "There, it's your turn. Wash up quickly. And mind you," She drew in a breath sharply, "I don't want you frolicking here. That might have been your home, and I may have destroyed it, but let me tell you, I have no intention of being a third wheel. So hurry up." ಠ_ಠ Both of them gaped at her, not because of her words, but because of her appearance. She had azure blue eyes, that sparkled slightly, fair skin and white blonde hair. Most of all, she looked young, too young. In other words, she was shockingly, a normal looking loli.
Chapter end
Xiao Xiao and Wei Ling glanced at each other, but nodded. They had already decided to follow Yui. She was powerful, and they needed someone powerful to protect them during the journey.
