Just Another Reincarnation Story 3 Here Kitty-Kitty

Yui swallowed down the scream threatening to erupt from her throat, and looked around, trying to find an escape route. But it looked like the odds were certainly not in her favour. It was without a doubt, a dungeon. Then, why couldn't any door be seen? Was it a hidden door?

'If this monster was inside the dungeon, then there should be an entrance. If not, then it means that the sole purpose of this dungeon was to trap it. As in, this dungeon was made for him.

In other words;

Dungeon : Monster :: Escape dungeon : Kill Monster.'

It's safe to say, 'Yes, this was how Yui, was awarded the title of *Eternal Nerd*'.

"Kill this monster?" She mumbled, cringing at the spit that fell on her face, the monster moving closer, and she, moving backwards. Suddenly, it stopped in it's tracks. As if recalling something, it scratched it's head. Yui froze along with it, wondering what it was upto.

Meanwhile, her brain calculated the ways to escape meanwhile. If no doors showed up, then she had no choice but to break a wall. 'Time to put my bulky muscles to work.' She thought smugly.

(o≖◡≖)

She had been a gym-maniac in her previous life. She loved working out, especially, toning her muscles. Whenever she went to the beach, she would proudly show her three abs. Such a pity that no one except animals could see it. She only went to the beach at night after all.

Azure blue eyes were trying to find a weak spot on the wall, so that it would collapse when she hit it. 'Hah! Found it!' She laughed in glee.

Rolling up her sleeves, she punched the wall made of bricks, expecting it to crumble, or atleast break in half. After all, she had trained herself to become capable of breaking walls. Instead, her fist grew red almost instantly, and pain spread through her whole arm. Her face became blue from the effort of not screaming out loud in pain.

Our nerdy Yui, had forgotten a small detail. The fact that she no longer had her old body had slipped through her mind. And now, fate, who had been laughing all this while at her, was now rolling on the floor with laughter.

(o;TωT)o

Eyes tearful, she pouted and blew on her bruised, and swelled hand slowly, sighing in relief when the pain lessened.

All this while, the monster who had been thinking, finally got to a conclusion. It snorted and ran a hand through its hair. Removing the vines from them, it pulled out something. That something was a huge, rusty sword. It was twice the monster's size.

Yui, who had been holding her hand, dropped her jaw in shock. "Holy Crumbly Cookie! Where did that come from?" She shouted, losing all the patience she had before.

An ugly smirk was pasted on the monster's face, and it lunged for the nth time at Yui. Like a monkey, she dodged the wild swings from its sword. The cat and dog chase continued for a while, until Yui noticed something. Under the Cherry Blossoms tree, the monster lifted his sword, and the sword glinted dully.

'Light?' Yui furrowed her eyebrows. 'That's right! How could I forget?! The Sakura tree needs light to live, which means, that it's receiving light from outside. In that case...." She trailed off, trying to look behind the Monster. A small hole caught her attention, and a smug smile made her lips arch up.

She played a simple game of chase.

Made the monster follow her all around, and when finally it grew too irritated, she climbed up the cherry blossoms tree.

Standing on one of the top branches, she made a face at the Monster and said "Here Kitty-Kitty. Is that all you got? Hah! Cry baby!" Of course, the taunt would be incomplete without her showing that pink tongue of hers.

( ิ౪ ิ )っ

The monster looked up with an obvious pissed off expression and threw the sword at her. Yui grew pale. She hadn't expected him to throw the sword at her. At this moment, she couldn't tell where the sword would strike and there was a chance of death.

She could always jump down, but that would mean being in the same range as him. Either way, she had a 50% chance of dying. Her heart thudded hard against her chest, and sweat trickled down her neck.

In desperation, she called out, "System help!"

This time, time didn't stop, but slowed down.

"System heeds to call of Player White. Recognising emergency situation, Detecting High Adrenaline Secretion, Activating skill Trajectory." The cold mechanic voice declared.

'Trajectory?' Yui thought, and to her surprise, her whole vision changed. She glanced back at the slowly incoming sword and could immediately see the trajectories of the sword. Time resumed to normal, and she quickly leaped a step to the side, knowing she would be safe there.

The sword hit the wall with a 'bang' , and a moment of silence carried on. Then, with a 'groan' the whole ceiling collapsed. Yui, who had been right beneath the hole, took this chance to take shelter under the tree.

The monster looked confused and shifted its gaze up.

'Thud'.

It never even got the chance to realise it was going to die. A huge piece of the ceiling had hit its head and more pieces continued to pile on.

At the most, it was a silent death. No shouts, no screams.

Yui bit her finger nails, whispering, "Tsk, that was no fun. At least scream, struggle a little. Give the killer some amusement."

(ー_ー )

Sighing, she got up and moved out of the shade of the tree. Bright sunlight hit her face, and she shuddered. "Stupid sunlight. Why couldn't it have been night like before?"

"System announces, Player White just levelled up.

Along with the voice, few slides popped up again in front of Yui and she sighed.

"This is going to be one long life."

Little did she know, deep black eyes were tracing her every step, every movement, curiousity and confusion in them.

The hair on her neck stood up and she looked back, hissing like a wild cat. Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, she turned back again, slightly confused. Her sixth sense had been tingling for no reason.

A person behind the bushes smiled, making their face light up and seem even more good looking than before. A faint scent of blood lingered around them, like that of iron.

"Perfect senses."

And then, there was nothing in that spot.

The person had left, along with their bloody scent, as if nothing had ever happened.
