Just Another Reincarnation Story 6 Sorry for the mess

The beart smacked Yui on her cheek and she fell down, a faint sound of bone cracking as her nose hit the ground. A thin trail of blood was running down from her nose and she yelled out in pain, "Mother of a duck! That hurt!"

She proceeded to wipe off the blood, but stopped when she saw something. Her 'weapon' was lying on the ground, broken into small pieces.

She sat down, and looked at it with a despaired expression. "No... NO! NOT MY COOKIE!!!" She cried out loudly, gathering the small crumbles together.

(இ﹏இ`。)

Yes, the weapon they had all expected was in fact, a big soft, crumbly cookie, with a wonderful texture and a beautiful colour. She could only imagine how it would have tasted when she placed it in her mouth, and it broke into crumbs, chocolate chips melting by the heat of her tongue.

But now... What was left was a dirty, crumbled cookie. And it was all because of the beart. The couple simply stared at Yui in shock, wondering why she was crying so much over a sweet.

Yui's fingers tightened around the cookie, and it got reduced to powder. A fire burned in her eyes, as she looked at the beart, determined to beat some sense into him.

With a cool face, she moved towards the beart, who was now standing at the side, little confused about what was going on. The sudden changes in reaction of Yui, made him start contemplating what to do next.

If one thing was sure, it was that the beart had human like intelligence. It could understand the emotions of the person standing in front of him, and could predict what they would do next.

Yet, the beart hadn't meant anyone like Yui before, whose mind was unknown even to herself. No one could predict what she would do next, she was just that amazing.

(๑˃̵ᴗ˂)

(Or just that crazy).

Her voice resounded slightly as she mumbled, "Open *unknown* reward two."

Behind, the boy yelled out to her, "Hey, are you mad? Do you want to die so soon!? Run away!" He had already stood up, and was now supporting Xiao Xiao. Slowly, they moved towards the entrance, eyes warily staring at the beart, in hopes that they would not be caught.

Yui ignored his yell. She was too angry to hear anything now. The voice of the cookie was calling out to her, wanting her to take revenge, and her blood boiled. "Destroy my cookie?! You'll pay for this!" She growled and the beart let out a weird voice.

"What? Scared now? You should be! Messing with my cookie... Means having a fate none other than death." Her azure blue eyes grew darker and their colour changed.

"System calls: Skill used

Level: 1." The familiar voice rang out beside her ear. It seemed that no one but she could hear it.

'Truth? What skill is this? Can I manipulate the truth? Can I change the truth? What is this?' Hundreds of questions swirled in her brain, with no answers for any.

'Let's try it out.'

One of her eyes glowed a dark green, and the beart stared at her, spellbound. A few seconds passed. Nothing happened.

Yui swallowed back the disappointment she felt. Would this be a failure too? She didn't want it to be.

Her theory about the skill being able to manipulate truth was crossed out. The only option left was, able to change the truth. In most cases, this was a very highly valued skill, not meant to be given off as a reward. That was the reason why Yui hadn't tried that out first.

The beart broke out of the trance, and growled at the couple that was trying to move. He smashed the ground and the rocky floor broke, blocking the entrance. Xiao Xiao yelled out loud in fear, and held on to her lover.

Both of them scurried back.

No matter what, they were still young. The feeling of fear still exists in their minds. Fear of losing their life, fear of losing one another.

Yui's eyes glowed again. This time, a blinding flash covered her, and the beart froze. His heart beat slowed down and brain stopped functioning. All his mana also started flowing slowly.

He gave a throaty growl and raised his hairy arm, extending it, only to pierce through his own chest and rip out his red, beating heart. Blood spurted out of the wound and the mighty body fell down. Xiao Xiao vomited all the contents of her stomach out and Wei Ling grew pale. Clearly, they weren't used to seeing bloodshed.

A green eye glinted, before becoming normal again.

This, was the rumoured power of truth.

What had happened was simple. Yui had merely changed truth. The beart's thoughts were to eliminate his enemy, which, referred to Yui. And what did Yui do? She altered the truth just a little. And voila! The beart thought of himself as his enemy, and killed himself.

✧( •˓◞•̀ )

Yui pouted. She had lost a cookie, and the beart didn't even give her a proper show. She was just about to sigh, when numerous windows popped up again, and a voice said, "Player White just levelled up. Current level: 1. Tip: Do not forget to collect the beart skin and store it in the inventory. Player can sell it later to earn coins, skills and keys."

Yui furrowed her eyebrows. Inventory? Aloud, she said "System open Inventory."

A window slid in front of her. "Player White's inventory- nothing."

"Uh..." She scratched the back of her neck, thinking what to command, and replied, "System store beart skin."

"Heeding to Player White's call, item 'Beart skin' has been stored."

True enough, the beart was now skinless, and its pink muscles were on full display. Xiao Xiao was shaking. Who was this girl? A monster? She felt more scared of Yui than the Beart. Defeating the beart without even moving... That was what we call a formidable opponent.

Yui glanced at them, and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry for the mess. I didn't expect to dirty the floor with so much blood. I apologise again for dirtying your home. Well then, I'll take my leave." She waved and turned around.

( ´͈ ᗨ `͈)

Her eye glowed a strange green again, and the entrance blasted open. It seemed her skill could be used on non-living objects as well. But her energy depleted at an insane rate, so she couldn't afford using more than once.

The cold forest awaited her.

'The Blood Arena'.
