July 19th, 1995

What just happened today doesn't make sense to me. I can't believe what I just witnessed. It's too surreal for words. I'm still in shock.

Around 8, Oscar and I told Ryan and Miles we would look in one of the cabins and Ryan said he'll come with us. Oscar told him no and said he still needed to heal his wound.

Ryan then said he would not take no for an answer and that he was feeling better. Oscar still insisted he should stay back while we explore the cabin. Ryan reluctantly agreed, and we left for the cabin while Miles stayed with him.

After a few minutes, we reached the cabin and climbed into it. The dreaded smell was stronger than before. The stale odor of raw fish filled the air, and Oscar almost gagged.

I also noticed the stench and quickly opened the windows to let some fresh air in. Oscar immediately brightened up, and we started exploring the interior of the cabin.

As before, we didn't find anything out of the ordinary. It was unusual for the cabin to smell like that and I had a feeling there was something strange going on. What's even weirder was the creepy symbol from where I found it was almost clear out like someone was trying to erase it.

Oscar and I decided to investigate the area outside the cabin and see if we could find anything suspicious. We didn't find anything and returned to the cabin. It was clear that something strange was happening, but we couldn't figure out what it was.

We decided it was time to leave but we caught sight of Miles and Ryan at the edge of the woods walking towards us and staring at us. They carried a large suitcase in their hands but I had no idea what Ryan was up to.

I came up to him and asked him what was inside the suitcase. Ryan then asked why I was keeping secrets from him. I was taken aback by the sudden accusation and stammered for a few moments before speaking.

I protested that I had no secrets from him and asked him to explain what he was talking about. He then opened the suitcase to show me what was inside.

Inside were some garden tools: a Hummer, a shovel, a rake, and gloves. I was confused and asked him why he had these things. He told me he heard Oscar and me talking yesterday. He said he heard everything and couldn't believe we left without being prepared.

He told me and Oscar that we were "stupid" for not thinking after finding a strange smell. He said we should take the case seriously and be prepared for anything.

I was taken aback by his words and felt embarrassed. Oscar suggested that we leave the area and report the incident to the authorities. However, Ryan told him to shut up and told me and Oscar to watch "real" men do their work.

Ryan enters the cabin and gags at the awful smell inside. Ryan searches for the smell and comes across a bed claiming the same was coming from under the bed. Ryan orders Miles to move the bed.

Miles gets down on his knees and pulls the bed away from the wall. Ryan flashes his flashlight onto the wooden floor. When I noticed a hole in the floor, I pointed it out to him.

He kneels and peers inside. He shines the flashlight but claims he can't see anything because the hole was too deep.

Ryan then ordered us to get all the supplies and remove all the wooden floor We quickly got to work and removed all the floorboards. To our surprise, it revealed a hidden hole so deep you could hear your echo. Additionally, the smell was even worse and lingering. We peered into the hole but could not see the bottom.

Ryan then shone the flashlight into the hole again but to no avail, as light can't reach the bottom. Oscar and Miles left the cabin escaping the dread snatch while me and Ryan are left alone.

I honestly have no idea what I felt. What was the reason for the hole under the floorboards? It was scary but strange. It's creepy and something is wrong here.

As soon as Ryan claimed that this hidden wheel was a secret cellar, my blood turned cold. Whatever happened, something or someone died in the cellar and someone rebuilt it into a floorboard.

I mean - what else made that awful odour? I had no idea what to do at that time. Why didn't the police find this before us? This is so fucked up.
I was both intrigued and terrified by the possibility. I asked Ryan if he had any evidence to prove his theory. He said I could take a picture of the hole so that we could show it later to the police.

Since the hole is too deep, we didn't want to risk going down there. Ryan stepped out of the cabin and smoked a cigarette. I took out my camera and started taking pictures of the hole. Ryan finished his cigarette and we decided to call it a day and left the cabin.

Right now I can't sleep. I'm still thinking about the whole and Ryan's theory. Was there someone down there? Was it the same person who left the strange symbols all around the cabin? And does it look erased? Was someone trying to remove it?

I hope tomorrow I can find some answers.
