Because I made a small detour on the way, I arrived at the Ballroom late. I took a detour because if I went through the usual path, there were so many students with their lover along the way. Since I was alone, it would be so awkward for me to walk alone by myself among so many couples.  Hence I tried to avoid being seen by others as much as I can. In the end, I was terribly late to arrive at the venue. The party has already started.
Just by going to the ballroom itself felt like an adventure. Furthermore, it was difficult for me to walk because I am wearing high heels.

When the door of the ballroom is opened, lively sounds and voices can be heard. Currently, there is nobody else except me standing in the hallway before the ballroom. Thus, I start to feel impatient as I feel that I might be the last person to arrive at the venue. I'm worried that I would be a wallflower and alone by myself for the rest of the party. I peep into the gap of the door and the presence of so many people can be felt instantly through that tiny gap.
Inside the room there are so many people already. Although it is not too crowded, the numbers of the people inside the room are still able to make me speechless. Moreover, everyone is dressed up in formal dress which makes them look more mature than usual.
When I shift my sightline a little bit, I see Nike together with a boy from the other class. I haven't heard anything from Nike yet, but they seem like lovers. At the same time, while I continue to look around, I feel overwhelmed by the ballroom decorations and interior. On top of the ceilings, there are a lot of small white lights fluttering in the shape of flower petal which act as the lighting of the room. The wooden floor has been changed into beautiful white and gray marble floor which adds the brilliance of the whole room. Near the wall area, there are so many delicious looking foods lined up on top of the black table. I don't know if it's because of the whole decorations, but I feel that the space of the room become much more spacious than usual. Perhaps, they also add some space inside the room with magic.
Afterward, I found my homeroom teacher is sitting by a table.
Teacher: “Aaa. Finally, you come, Nana……ri……”
Nanari: “? Yes.”
Then, I write down my name on the attendance list.
Teacher: “You were taking quite some time…… No, you are the last one to finally arrive. With this, we can finally start the party.”
Nanari: “I'm sorry.”
The last one to arrive, huh. Well, as I thought.
Teacher takes the attendance list paper away and then he raises his hand to someone while saying, ‘Oi, everything is good now.'
Healing Teacher: “Well……then. There is only some little time left to see all your faces every day. Soon you will graduate from school and each of you will go your own way. Although the separation is unfortunate, we still want to celebrate it as your teachers who have seen you growing into an adult. We hope you will enjoy this party."
The healing teacher is dressed in a light color dress. For a moment, I could not recognize her right away. She stands in the middle of the ballroom to give her greetings to everyone and bows lightly. The teacher is standing on the small round stage. She looks so lovely while being illuminated by the small white lights which are floating on the ceiling.
Male teacher: “Today, please enjoy yourself to your heart's content. “
As the other male teacher who is standing next to her said those words, music starts to play out of nowhere.
Uwaa, is the party started with the dance right away?
However, it's actually not the time for the dance yet. Each person respectively is starting to have fun like talking to each other or enjoying the delicious feast.
The party has officially started.
Nanari: “Food!”
I walk closer to the black table where the feast is displayed. Then I also start to enjoy myself by eating the delicious food. However, since the time I walked here, I feel piercing gazes are following all my movements. Likewise, being alone is making me stand out.

Hereupon me, there is Marisa who wears crimson red dress and walking in this direction. Next to her there are Lockman and Prince Zenon, as well as a crowd of noble girls. All the noble girls are gorgeously dressed up in a bold manner. A lot of them are wearing dresses which exposes a lot of their body, even their chests are bulged out.
 Amazing………For me, my shoulder is the limit to be exposed.
The boys are wearing tailcoats. As expected from the nobles, each person's individuality is properly displayed by how they dress in tailcoats. Some of them are dressed in white or red tailcoats. Among all of them, Lockman is wearing a safe choice of navy blue tailcoats with golden embroideries. He looks very attractive with his pretty face and long loose golden hair.
Meanwhile Prince Zenon is wearing a black tailcoat with a royal design but is not overly done with appropriate accessories and design around the hem and shoulder. Prince Zenon usually looks dignified but today he is even more charming than usual.
Everyone in the crowd is holding a glass on their hand and have a friendly chat with each other.
I see. So, this is the noble's society looks like.
Marisa: “Ah! Nanari, I thought I would not see you here…When did you come?”
Marisa who notices me, call my name with a smile on her face. Since she calls for me, I have no other option than to approach her and have some a chat with her. I walk carefully and slowly so that I won't fall
Nanari: “I just came.”
Marisa: “You really are so thoughtless. To think that you came this late. “
Being side by side to Marisa, I feel that she really looks stunning and gorgeous. As expected of Marisa. She is always looking gorgeous.
Unintentionally, I lock my eyes with Lockman's who is talking with a girl next to him. While he is busy talking, he is still able to look over here. Truly, He is way too skillful in this area. Moreover, while being surrounded by beautiful and cute girls, he does not act arrogant, instead he is showing such a refreshing attitude.
He is probably used to this kind of thing. Amazing……
He looks like a king with his harem. While at it, Prince Zenon is also the same.
As an experiment, I will try to taunt him by pulling down one of my eyes and sticking my tongue out.
However, his reaction is very weak. To be exact, he just ignores me.

Nanari: “You too, Marisa. You look so lovely more than usual. ……Except for the dress, everything else is done by Nike and Benjamin.”
Marisa: “Is that so? I was wondering before that, all the makeup and the hairdo could not be possibly done by you.”
Nanari: “You think so?....Eh, the music has changed?”
While in the middle of conversation with Marisa, the background music which played during the party changed suddenly. The volume of the music had also become bigger.
Soon after, the center of the ballroom is cleared and becomes the dance stage. Then a pair of boy and girl slowly start to dance one after another. Among those couples, I can see Benjamin is dancing with Santanath which makes my heart tight as I watch them together.
Lockman and Prince Zenon seem to take the girls who were next to them as their first dance partner and head to the center of the ballroom.
Ah, is this a waltz dance?
Marisa: “Finally it starts. I will be Alves-sama's third dance partner, so I will wait over here. “
Nanari: “I see. Then, I will go to enjoy the feast.”
Marisa: “Your appetite for food is certainly bigger than your interest in romance, huh.”
Nanari: “You talk too much.”

It's the start of the last chapter Nanari's time at school. I feel like Nanari has not changed at all since the beginning while others around her have changed. They have become more mature. Stay tuned for the next couple of weeks. We will have some sweet moments too.
