I Became The Childhood Friend of the Obsessive Second Male Lead Chapter 220

Just in front of him, another railing decoration appeared.

Again, Noel made a strange sound like 'heave-ho' and hopped over the decorations.

For some reason, it felt as though he was jumping a little higher than before, so Rieta scolded him.

She wanted him to stop doing such dangerous things.

“It's not dangerous at all if the Princess doesn't let it go.”

Then Noel asked if she would let him go.

Rieta rolled her eyes. Silly. How could she?

“Look, it's not dangerous at all.”

He smiled contentedly and looked at the lake over the railing for a moment.

The moon was reflected on it.

“Did you see that?”

Noel pointed to the garden. Rieta then leaned her body against the railing and looked outside.

“No, first time.”

“It's pretty famous. Sometimes, some adults drink here to see this scenery.”

“It's really pretty.”

Rieta, in pure admiration, looked silently at the submerged moon.

Suddenly, she felt fortunate to be able to see such a wonderful thing.

If I return to Liz, I will hardly ever come to the Empire . . .

The wind gradually subsided. The surface of the lake became calm, and the reflection of the sky began to shine without distortion.

Rieta clutched the railing tightly, feeling as though she was going to fall into the water like this.

“I think I understand why it's famous. Thanks for showing me, Noel.”

Rieta looked at him. Noel was sitting comfortably facing the outside of the railing.

He seemed to want to sit down and enjoy the scenery.

“It was nothing.”

He let go of Rieta and stroked her head, leaning against the railing.

It was nice to see her thin hair curled up, like it was tickling his fingers.

The scent he felt that day also flowed out and stayed on the back of his hand.

These days, Rieta smells really good. To the point where it was kind of troublesome.

“Noel.”

As she called him, he replied moderately.

It was as if he had no interest in Rieta because he was completely intoxicated with the scenery.

But the nasty wind didn't seem to like Noel's appearance.

It brought black clouds over the white moon and darkened the lake.

“Tch.”

Noel had no choice but to look towards Rieta.

She leaned her head close to the railing, watching the moonlight disappearing until the end.

Seeing her lips converge and form a round shape, Rieta must have been made a bit sulky by the grumpy wind.

Like, why would it bring the clouds now?

“Too bad.”

“Would you like to wait for the clouds to pass?”

“Well, I have to go back. I have something to say to Princess Gabriella. And I can't leave Elisha alone.”

“Well . . . then.”

Noel turned to the hallway and sat down.

“I have to go back.”

“Yes. I've been wanting to see you for a longer time, but what a pity. Right?”

While Rieta looked outside with a regretful face, Noel slipped off the railing and stood in front of Rieta.

“Yes. What a pity.”

“It was really pretty a while ago.”

“Don't worry, it's still pretty.”

“But you can't see the moon anymore?”

“Who's talking about the moon at times like this?”

“. . . Wasn't it about the moon?”

When Rieta asked back, Noel just laughed, teasing her for being an idiot.

Rieta didn't know what was so funny, but she didn't feel good about it, because it seemed like Noel was making fun of her.

“Shall we go?”

Rieta turned her head and passed by Noel's side.

He followed her swiftly and asked, “Are you sulking?”

But Rieta never gave him an answer.

“Oh, I see the moon again.”

When Noel said this, Rieta said instinctively, “Really?”

She turned to look at him.

Of course, she soon regretted it.

Still, it was true that the pretty moon was visible again.

Rieta decided to forgive the naughty Noel this time.

After separating with Rieta, Noel witnessed his foe Everett melt away from the side of the banquet hall with a dreamlike smile.

It was clear that he was thinking about a happy moment as his twinkling eyes were shooting lights into the air.

Noel carefully avoided the crowd, being careful not to be seen by him.

It would be difficult to be caught by Everett when his expression was like that.

It was obvious that he would stop him and brag that Princess Gabriella had spoken to him.

To be clear, Noel didn't like the sound of Everett bragging about Princess Gabriella.

Including the fact that he couldn't tell him to stop,

If he didn't listen, Everett was sure to threaten to tell the Duke.

Noel crept out of the crowd and hid his presence.

So that Everett can't find him.

Of course, it was meaningless.

Noel was the son of Duke Mayer, so many nobles greeted him with a fuss whenever and wherever they saw him.
