I Became The Childhood Friend of the Obsessive Second Male Lead Chapter 152

Noel accepted the letter he had given him.

This time, all that was written on the outside was the address of the Duchy and 'Dwayne Mayer'.

“Did she send a reply to the letter I sent her?”

“Maybe.”

“Or, is this also a lost letter?”

“Well, I don't know if that's the case.”

“Anyway, okay. Where is the letter I sent yesterday?”

“It's at the post office. As soon as we know who sent the letter, we will deliver it.”

“Yeah, please do that. And in the future, I would like you to bring this letter to me directly.”

“Is there any other possibility? Of course.”

The postman bowed deeply and hurriedly returned to the mail wagon.

Noel and Rieta put the newly arrived letter down on the table and looked at it in boredom.

“Should I open it again this time?”

“But, Noel. You already sent the letter of refusal, so wouldn't it be okay if you didn't open this?”

“But what if it contains something like an invitation?!”

“It can't be. Now the Emperor forbids all kinds of extravagant parties.”

“I mean, there may already be invitations from the last party.”

“It's . . . it's just unavoidable.”

“I still have to apologize. What a rude thing to say not to attend a party. What if the person who wrote this letter has a misunderstanding about Father!”

Hearing Noel's words, it seemed that way too, Rieta had no choice but to nod her head.

“Then open it.”

When Noel said so.

Just then, the door to the living room opened.

Surprised by this, Noel and Rieta quickly hid the suspicious letter behind their backs.

“Princess, Young Master. A letter arrived a little while ago . . .”

The butler stopped talking and looked at the two children sitting with awkward faces.

It seemed that they were trying to disguise their composure, but they wore the expression of a naughty child who was about to do a huge prank.

“You two, what have you been doing?”

Noel was startled by the question, and looked back at Rieta.

“Nothing happened! Right, right?”

“Ah, yes. There was nothing. None.”

What else are these noble troublemakers trying to do?

The butler was a bit worried, but for a moment left the letter.

Noel and Rieta quietly opened the letter only after confirming that the butler was completely gone.

Dear Dwayne.

Noel and Rietta looked closely, almost getting into the letter.

Actually, I have something to confess. I saw Dwayne in the Imperial Garden a while ago.

I wanted to come closer and say hello, but you seemed tired and fell asleep leaning against a tree.

What is it that keeps Dwayne so busy?

You said, 'I love work,' but I don't seem to understand what you love about it.

Please, I hope you spend today resting. It is rest that I love.

The letter was a little longer than the one from yesterday.

Even so, of course, there was no information about the sender.

“But I do know one thing.”

Noel put the letter down and folded his arms with a very disgruntled face.

“This person is an idiot.”

“You can't call other people that. Noel.”

“But it's written right here. They don't know why my father is busy, how can they not know that?”

Noel seemed to be getting more and more angry.

“It isn't raining, so why don't they know that Father is busy? Even children like us know it.”

“Yes, it is.”

“Besides, everyone is busy right now, not just my father. How can they not know about such things unless they are not thinking?”

“Um . . . But, Noel.”

Rieta picked up the letter again.

“Perhaps this wasn't written recently.”

“How do you know that? There's no date here.”

“Well, they said the Duke was asleep in the garden. Sleeping in the garden these days would be suffocating.”

“. . . Is that so?”

“yes. So maybe this letter was also written in spring.”

Despite Rieta's explanation, Noel still seems to want to speak badly of the other person in some way.

As soon as he sees her start pointing out different parts of the letter.

“If they're not an idiot, they must be someone who has no observation skills.”

“Why is that again?”

“That they still sent letters to Father in such a persistent way when my father said 'I love work'.“

“Is that . . . so?”

It did seem like that.

If someone showed interest in the Duke and approached him . . .

The Duke seemed likely to refuse because he wanted to focus on his work.

“Good. I need to write down a definite refusal to this ignorant person.”

“Are you going to write a reply again?”

“Yes. It seems like this person doesn't understand words.”

But the last letter he sent was direct enough.

“I have to let them know that 'I love work' means 'I have no desire to date you at all.'” And there is only one Duchess Mayer in the world.”
