Devil's Rise 76 A Electric Boogie

Communing with the Earthen World had taken its toll on me. I had spent days maintaining a connection to it to ensure my will was carried out. But everything was now going according to my plan.

I had formed my religion. Now I had a constant stream of faith flowing to me from the prayers of my acolytes. But it wasn't enough, I wanted more!

The dwarfs in the world were now on the right track with my religion being founded. Unfortunately, I had not infiltrated the second race in this world yet. I wanted the entire World, not just the land, but the sea too. I would have to act swiftly.

[Reward issued: 'Electric Boogie Dance']

This new reward was interesting. It was a dance that helped attune one to the Electric Dao. It had knowledge concerning the Electric Dao. With these insights, I could push my Electric Dao to the next level. Once that is done, I will form my second curse binding weapon with the Electric Dao.

This weapon would be specifically made for the Merfolk in the Earthen World. How could I take over the Earthen World if I didn't control both lesser races? Everything within the Earthen World would be mine!

The merfolk controlled the seas. I would forge a brilliant weapon to send down to an unsuspecting merfolk.

I read into the Electric Boogie Dance. It was some kind of mystical spell I would have to cast, and through practicing it I would attune closer to the Electric Dao.

I started reciting the lyrics to the spell.

'Some say it's mystic'

'It's electric!'

'You can't see it (it's electric!)'

'You gotta feel it (it's electric!)'

'Ooh, it's shakin' (it's electric!)'

'Jiggle-mescara'

'He's a pumpin' like a matic;'

'He's a movin' like electric'

'He sure got the boogie'

'You gotta know it'

'(It's electric boogie woogie, woogie!)'

'Now you can't hold it'

'(It's electric boogie woogie, woogie!)'

'But you know it there,'

'Here, there and everywhere'

'I've got to move'

'I'll teach you the Electric Slide'

As I recited the spell strange instructions appeared in my head, teaching me the dance. This Electric Boogie was mystical!

[Boogie Right

1. Take one step to your right with your right foot.

2. Cross your left foot to the right, bringing it behind your right foot.

3. Uncross your feet by taking another step to the right with your right foot.

4. Bring your left foot to your right foot and close your feet together.

Boogie Left

5. Take one step to your left with your left foot.

6. Cross your right foot to the left, bringing it behind your left foot.

7. Uncross your feet by taking another step to the left with your left foot.

8. Bring your right foot to your left foot and close your feet together.

Rock Forward and Back With a Toe Touch

9. Step back with your right foot, then bring your left foot to meet it.

10. Step backward onto your right foot, then tap your left foot in place.

11. Step forward with your left foot, then tap your right foot to the back.

12. Once again step back with your right foot, then tap your left foot to the front. As you do this, be sure that your weight is on your right foot.

Quarter Turn Left and Repeat

13. With your right foot, take a step forward. As you do this, turn your body a quarter-turn (or 90 degrees) to the left.]

I spent days reciting this spell and learning the boogie all to attune myself to the Electric Dao.

I was the best dancer! My moves were crisp and perfect as I mastered this electric boogie. Why dare look down on this young lord's moves? When I finally got it down, I danced the night away, attuning myself to the Electric Dao.

I created sparks around me as I came closer and closer to the true meaning of the Electric Boogie. I could feel the free-spirited nature of the Electric Dao. It differed from the Fire Dao.

My will could command the Fire Dao. I could not command the Electric Dao, only coax it through attuning to its nature.

To use the Electric Dao, I had to have a free spirit. All my thoughts and worries were gone, I danced more and more as sparks flew around me. The only thing left in my world were me and the Electric Dao.

A giant lightning bolt came down from the sky as I finally broke through to the Baron realm in the Electric Dao. I could feel the power of the Grand Supreme Electromagnetic Dao through this bolt.

It commanded respect far and wide. It demanded reverence. I gave a solemn bow to the Grand Supreme Electromagnetic Dao for allowing me to use a part of it. I felt even my entire Abyss was nothing to this Dao.

Somewhere in the Nine Hells.

A mountainous devil moved for the first time in millenniums.

"Did someone in my Xertzul Abyss just connect with a Grand Supreme Dao?" said the mountainous devil.

"Good joke Xertzul, you think one of your lowly devils could connect with a Grand Supreme Dao?" said an angelic figure sitting on his shoulder.

"No, I felt it. A challenge to my glory as the Abyss builder. Only a Grand Supreme Dao can cause that. But it was so weak it is impossible to pinpoint," said Xertzul.

"Interesting, You might have a talented seedling born in your Abyss," said the angelic figure.

"Haha, good. There hasn't been a talented seedling come from my Abyss in over 100,000 years," said the mountainous devil before he went back to his slumber.

Now I could finally forge my second curse binding weapon!

I began work immediately with the connection to the Grand Supreme Electromagnetic Dao fresh on my mind.

Soon the new blade lay before me.

It was a fairly small, slim, slightly curved blade made of mithril and held by a grip wrapped in rare, ivory crocodile leather.

A fine, sharp point makes this weapon the best choice if you want to pierce, prick, puncture, and perforate your enemies.

The blade has a spiked, twisted cross-guard, adding weight to the blade for a better weight balance, and offering hand protection during battle. The cross-guard has an elegant turtle's head on each side, marking the spirit I housed within it.

My sparkling turtle soul would travel with this new curse binding weapon.

I decorated its wide pommel with a rare gem, fancy decorations for a fancy sword.

The blade itself is bare. No decorations or engraved patterns, but the blade will surely be decorated in battle.

This weapon is to be used by my second curse bound, I'd expect nothing less of them.

This unnamed weapon had to have the spirit of the Electric Dao.

I named it Freedom, for the free-spirited nature of the Electric Dao. A fitting name for a cursed weapon that bound its user forever.

In devil script, I engraved 'Who so ever wields this blade… If he has a free spirit… Shall possess the Lightning of Freedom' on the blade.

Yes, this is right. Freedom and Destiny shall be my agents in the Earthen World. I can't wait to see what merfolk wields Freedom.

I sent Freedom down to the Earthen World.
