"I will take all of the pain from your life from now on. Come on let's go!" Mo Lingtan helped put her sandals back on her feet and they left for Old Mo Mansion.

Lu Yichen saw off all of the guests earlier than usual time, in fact, Song Zhilian hadn't even cut her birthday cake.

Li Yan and the other friends from Mo Lingtan's gang were also confused but Lu Yichen didn't open his mouth as it was an internal matter of the Mo Family, it would be better to not let the Mo Family's dirty secret out. "You will know once Lingtan comes back."

A few minutes later, Mo Lingtan came back alone. All of the members of the Mo Family including Tang Hu and the loyal butler Lu were present in the living hall.

Since all of the members had arrived, Song Zhilian turned towards Mo Mushan and asked him, "Mushan, do you still remember how your father died?"

Mo Mushan felt uneasy but he didn't retort against Song Zhilian seeing her angry temper and started recalling the same story that he had concocted, "That...night, I went to look for my father. I apologized to him...and he accepted my apology. After that, we had a chat. Since my father didn't like the hospital's smell, he insisted on going for a walk outside to get some air. I conceded to his request and went along with him. He was in a pleasant mood, but then all of sudden, his health didn't look good so I brought him back to the room. But then his health started worsening. I called Dr. Qian, he immediately transferred father back to the operation theatre, but unfortunately, father didn't make it out of that room." 

"Are you sure this is what all that had happened?" Song Zhilian asked this time, her voice turned extremely cold and hostile.

Uneasiness squeezed his heart, still, Mo Mushan continued with his lie, "Yes, mother. This was all that had happened that night..."
