Chapter 9: A Symbol of Madness

The rubble of dust hovered around her like a fire trying to escape a building. Her hair started t unravel as she laid there, exhausted and lost of hope. She laid there defeated and out of strife. She moved her arms a little trying to get comfortable in defeat as she suddenly grabbed a piece of chunked ice from the crater around her. It instantly sparked a shockwave of hope as War realized she had one shot at this as she focused on one last weapon.

Ana suddenly spotted something slowly rising from the ground, in response Zasheir quickly attacked it with no hesitation as the hand it used suddenly imploded on the spot. The dragon scrambled around in shock as he tried to gain balance, only for small specs of light to quickly appear all over the body of the dragon, as it was laid to waste with each part slowly imploding everything that made it exist. Ana was left intrigued as she stood there as a small orb arose from the smoke.

It was a simple orb as it was gray and looked very polished. It continued to rise up into the air quiet high as it came to a complete stop .

The orb simply stood there.
It didn’t shoot any lasers at Ana, it didn’t fire anything at her, it just stood there. Ana didn’t want to give War the chance to gain any leverage upon her, so with as fast as she could possibly go, in the blink of an eye she kicked the orb at near the speed of light!

The shockwave shook the infinite icey plane. It made the ground shake and rumble as the ground began to crack to deteriorate. But just as Ana thought she secured the win, it was all taken away from her. At the same time, she found out the orb’s function.

Override
Repel
Blast

The orb had sucked in the energy from Ana’s attack and repelled the energy back faster than any eye could keep up with. All of the power being unleashed into a singular beam completely shattered most of not of the bones in her torso, like a bone being thrown into a crusher. Blood spat out of mouth as she shrieked in pain. The ice world disappeared as it went back to the area being the forest they were used to. The guns that she previously had summoned only surrounded Ana waiting patiently for the sign to kill. War stood up as her legs wobbled as she walked over towards Ana.

“Jesus, I’m gonna need more than just money for your capture you Ms. Ball of Sadness! I’ll give you this though. As the youngest of the Four Horsemen, your not that bad, and so I shall give you my respect. You just made the wrong choice in life, thats all. “ War said as she turned one of the guns into a net and wrapped it around Ana, and began dragging her.

“Why?”

War stopped as she looked back at Ana who began biting the net.

“What gives you the right to say I made the wrong choice? I lived in hell my whole life, and was aware what was good and acceptable in society, and what isn’t. I know who I have hurt and who I haven’t. I have no bad choice. Only the choice that put me on the path of many I knew about. So many paths I could’ve gone down, but I don’t regret choosing it. Never will. That's the will of having a choice.” Ana said as she dozed off due to exhaustion. War became shocked. That was something nobody had ever said to her before. War felt conflicted as it made her start thinking about a few things. She continued dragging Ana, heading towards the Governor's tower with a new mindset.

Ana truly is unique isn’t she?
