Chapter 2: The Reawakened

Akio was still taken away by the beauty of this dystopian world as him it reverted to a time were humans did not exist. The sky was as blue as ever and vegetation covered everything plus the water was as clear as crystal. Some would even go as far as to call it a sanctuary.

"Pop," a familiar sound he heard. He turned his head back to see,'The System.' The creature which confronted him before his death.

"Finally awake I see,"The system spoke to him,"then your blessing has finally activated."

"I will give you the honour to ask any two questions," he continued to explain,"So choose wisely"

Akio had so many questions racing in his head, telling him to ask only too was as hard as turning stone to gold. Then he asked, "What is this blessing I have?"

"Straight to the point I see," The system replied.

"You have been blessed with reawakening,"The system explain,"meaning no matter how many time's you die. You will always come back to life."

Akio could not believe what he heard then he asked,"so basically I'm immortal?"

"Not exactly,"The system further clarified, "Immortality means you will live forever but reawakening only bring's you back to life at the cost of another life so try not to die too many time's."

"What does he mean by the cost of another?" Akio thought to himself. "Ok my last question," Akio said, "What are these monster's and where did they come from?" He asked.

"I believe in your language they are called,'Man-eaters,' and they are especially attracted to the human scent,"The system explained with a devious smile, "For where they came from I cannot answer that. You are out of question's."

"We have to do something about your clothes though," The system told Akio,"you look like a beggar."

The system snapped his fingers and from thin air a black cloak popped up.

"Think of it as a parting gift mortal,"The system said, "Oh yes and before I forget. You were given a bonus blessing as it seem they have taken a liking to you."

"Who are they?" Akio asked.

"They have gifted you with one of the,'10 lost weapons of the 3 divine realms.' That black katana blade right there to use to defend yourself," The system explained, "You are one with the sword so the more Man-eaters you slay, the stronger you get."

"I will be seeing you soon mortal Akio so try to stay alive," The system explained while slowly fading away.

Akio picked up the sword and drew it from it's sheath and it was inscribed on the blade,'Demon Destroyer.' He put it back in and put on his cloak.

"I guess I should be on my way then."
