CLAWS 22 TOGETHER 2

Aliyah felt content for the next two weeks, she could care less what anybody thought about she and Elijah being mates.

Word circulated through the werewolf community. Calls coming in from various packs to confirm, everywhere she and Elijah went they received curious stares. 

Elijah, on the other hand, found it absolutely hilarious even now as they were walking back to the pack after checking on  the warriors  stationed at the border, he still cracked up as he recounted tales of how the older ladies in the pack looked at him with pity

"it must be because they know you're a beast" he laughed at her 

"ha ha very funny, you are not even bordered by the fact that half of the pack hates you now"

"Nope, as a matter of fact, its fun, at least they are not asking for my help anymore and mind you I still have half the pack on my side they think you bullied me into the relationship-" another round of laughter followed Aliyah joining in.  

"which is partly true actually..." he chipped in.

she smacked the back of his head "what do you mean?"

"you see what you just did? that's bullying" 

"that's not bully. you're just a weakling you can't even jump a rope. only your brain has muscles"

"ahh really? " Elijah looked around the children usually tied ropes on the trees to use as swings.

 He untied one "watch me prove you wrong miss" 

She folded her arms across her chest, eyebrow raised.

Elijah positioned himself succeeding in making a few jumps soon he proved his skipping skill was just as miserable as his singing.

  He tripped landing face first on the ground, Aliyah doubled up in laughter hands across her stomach.

"I'm glad you enjoyed the show," he said as he stood up dusting himself 

"don't take it to heart son, here" she stretched out her hand "give me the rope let mama teach you" 

Elijah watched as Aliyah put him to shame doing different skills with the rope. she soon stood on one leg still skipping

"can you see this? can you see this ?" she wiggled her eyebrows taunting him.

"no need to show off you won't get an award for skipping ropes anyway this is not fun anymore I'm out"

Elijah stomped away sulking....

"hey son, don't cry such is life sometimes you can't help but fail miserably!" she laughed as she ran after him still making a jest of him. 

They were interrupted by a warrior who seemed to have been running.

Aliyah immediately straightened up assuming her role of Alpha in a split second "what's wrong?"

"the alphas from the rest of the six pack has gathered for a meeting"

"what! the meeting is next week, they can't come unannounced" she countered angrily

"they said it was an emergency and it could not wait".

Aliyah took a deep breath those Alphas were getting on her last nerve how much respect did they have for her to not bother to inform her before barging into her territory.

 Since her father died the reputation of the pack has been seriously affected she worked tirelessly to bring it back to what it used to be but it was seeming impossible. 

She felt a hand on her shoulder knowing immediately it was Elijah. It was reassuring he was on her side. She put on a brave face those alphas were gonna get a piece of her mind today.

The meeting took a turn for the worst, 

"I've always known that your pack would be the cause of a major disunity, first alpha Kalista was poisoned and you keep the culprit alive! " Alpha Boarhod of tornado pack shot out a frown on his face.

"I don't expect you to understand my way of doing things alpha, I need him alive for further investigation".  Aliyah responded 

"still, you have to explain why you are encouraging this bond with an omega. do you take our laws seriously? that's why a female can't lead". Alpha Vernof added.

 Aliyah narrowed her eyes at him "who are you to talk about who can't and can not lead, you put your pack to shame when you had to resort to cheap methods at the shadow pull. in fact, you are a top suspect on my list.."

"don't try to change the subject, Aliyah!"  Vernof shouted in a bid to stop her from exposing him. 

Aliyah jumped to her feet "don't you dare raise your voice at me in my territory!" 

Elijah listened outside shaking his head at the supposed Alphas yelling on top of their voices. Some wanting to know what Aliyah meant, others aggrevated at her response. 

He had to step in. It seemed the situation was not being handled well, pushing aside the consequences he opened the door. As soon as he stepped in, the room went silent.

"How dare you?" Alpha Boarhod of shark kill pack bellowed out, any Omega would cower in fear but for some reason, Elijah's instinct to protect Aliyah overshadowed that fear.

At that moment he realized his wolf was no longer accepting the Omega status...but he would ponder about that later. 

"Hello to you too Alpha Boarhod", he sat down in one of the seats "I apologize for barging in like this but it seems you all are getting nowhere",

He leaned forward , hands interlinked on the round big table set in the middle of all seated "to make things clear the pack is maintained by certain rules. One, the strongest has the ultimate say. Putting aside the present state of the pack we are still in power"

He paused letting his words sink in before he continued seeing he had them cornered

"If you have a problem with it, contend it during the next Shadow pull".

"On what grounds do you dictate what we should do Omega?" Alpha Vernot of the seventh pack asked sizing Elijah with his eyes.

smiling he answered "I believe Aliyah can answer that"

"he is my mate, therefore he has every right to be involved" Aliyah answered pride evident in her voice. Her mate was no coward.

"you mean to say you would mate an Omega?" Vernof asked , disbelief evident on the faces of the Alphas present.

"like Elijah mentioned earlier you are not in a position to question me" Aliyah fired back.

"Very well then, we have to call the ones who can question you then" Vernot concluded giving a sly smile .

Elijah knew they meant the elders. It was never good when they became involved, clearing his throat he stood up his hands in the pocket of his jeans as he calmly stated

"till then this meeting is dismissed. You know the way out Alphas "
