/ CLAWS 15 BETRAYAL
One month of misery and despair had passed since his son was taken. His only child, it has caused a rift to form between him and his wife who mostly stayed indoors wallowing in her sorrow, taking another gulp of alcohol he looked at his watch. It was time to work, the Alpha had offered to relieve him of his duties but he had refused, the last thing he needed was more time to drown in his misery.

Aliyah had been reluctant to come to her graduation ceremony, Maxwell should be graduating today too but he was nowhere to be found thanks to her.
She turned to Keshia smiling at her, at least someone was excited. Looking at the podium she admired how poised and composed Elijah looked as he gave his valedictorian speech. Their encounter did not change her feeling about their relationship but at least he had a good strike in her book. He respected her decision giving her the space she needed.
Suddenly, she felt a pang in her chest, she grimaced trying to settle down. What was this feeling? Turning around she noticed it wasn't just her she noticed the slight discomfort in all the werewolves even Elijah paused, clearing his throat, he apologized and continued.

Time is one thing that can never be taken back, Aliyah was painfully reminded of this as Beta Luke broke the message to her.
"Aliyah I need to speak with you.
"Okay, sure"
"not out here in private"
He had stopped her outside her home just as she was about to go in after a disappointing day. She expected her father to make it for her graduation. Although she understood he was busy, she really needed him to be there
" I would like to at least get inside and see my dad if he is in before having any conversation Beta Luke."
"that's exactly why I need to speak with you now Aliyah" Luke countered with a serious expression on his face.
Aliyah nodded as she walked into the house with Beta Luke. Just then the Gamma Kale walked out of the alpha's wing.
"I'm sorry Aliyah, you must be ..." he was stopped by the Beta who was linking him realization dawned on his face Aliyah has not been told yet.
Aliyah studied the men in front of her, why the awkwardness? why did Beta luke stop Kale? and why was he sorry?
"explain Beta what is all this drama about?" her wolf was becoming agitated
"I need you to calm down..."
"don't tell me what to do!"
"It's the Alpha ..." Luke started.
Aliyah ran up the stairs not waiting for him to finish. She flung the door of her father's room open. The image that greeted her was enough to make her legs give way. she fell to the ground staring at her father who looked barely alive laying on the bed unconscious.
