INTRODUCTION

“…Bored.”
Aurora sighed deeply.
In her green eyes reflected the gorgeous dresses on the dance floor as she eyes the most fashionable group of women in the evening party. None of the ladies and gentlemen, passing by before Aurora, dressed out of trend. However, there are good and bad sides to this ‘hobby’.
It isn’t an exaggeration to say that the high quality of dresses worn by the guests reflects the quality of the host in this evening party. An ordinary noble’s party would be composed of nobles wearing only nice dress, especially to those who are of the lower income. The most obvious way to tell about a noble’s class is by their appearance.
In this party, people are wearing clothes which aren’t commonly seen being worn outside the royal palace. The appearances of the nobles in this evening party which is as grand as those of the royal palace’s party is a manifestation of the fact that this evening party is one of the important place for socialization.
The host of this evening party is Duchess Laetus, one of the three Duchess of the Kingdom of Elbum, an an important figure in the nobility.
“… I’m so bored. ”
Aurora stands dazedly at the evening party.
If any of her relatives were here, they could have scolded her for saying such a stupid thing but unfortunately, she came alone. To Aurora, the daughter of an earl, today’s evening party is a the noble’s social life or for her, a “workplace”. Usually, she wouldn’t be bored but she now looks vacantly by the wall.
Tonight was supposed to be Aurora’s first evening party since debuting in the society however, her brother who usually acts as her partner is absent today after he caught a fever so she came to attend alone.
And as of normal course, it is unusual for a lady of nobility to attend an evening party without a partner and as a result of this, Aurora had turned into a beautiful wallflower.
(That’s nice. To add flowers over flowers, it seems to fit well.)
Spreading her fan, Aurora laughed calmly behind her fan.
(The evening parties of a Duke is on a different level. The dresses of those who are participating are all splendid. A sight for sore eyes!)
Her eyes sparkled. More than just a lady’s hobby, Aurora loved embroidery so much that whenever her brother is present, he would say “Aurora’s bad habit has come again.”
Unfortunately, nobody could stop her today. She looked at the ladies around her dancing.
A dress that has been embroidered changes from light to dark, smoothly changing the fabric and thread with scattered gold and silver thread sewn parts were the current trend. When the light of the chandelier illuminates it, it glitters like stardust beautifully.
(Certainly… it looks like crushed crystals scattered on her dress. The other one is a bit, but that person has a great balance.The design of the stars is good, but also this arabesque pattern.)
Aurora breathes out in excitement. It’s all thanks to the latest fashion trend that the embroideries on both ladies and gentlemen in the evening party is wonderful.
It was also because of the host is the lady of Laetus House who made such designs popular. A gorgeous blonde hair and light blue eyed Duchess who was called “Belle of the Society”. She was married to the Duke of Laetus House last year and has been the trendsetter of fashion in the nobility.
(Oh, that lady’s embroidery must belong to a famous workshop. What a polite and detailed one… and yet, aren’t I a bit too plain?)
Aurora looked down at her dress and stared at it under the shadow of her fan. The dye of her dress which changes from pale blue to pure blue, and the embroidery of the blue flowers stuck in it were fashionable, but the sewing of gold and silver threads was modest. While the other ladies were so gaily dressed, Aurora’s dress seemed to be close to that of the old ladies.
(I didn’t know it was so popular… I think I’ll embroider something else when I get home.)
She wondered if the star design is good or is flower better? It was hard for her to not to notice the arabesque pattern that she saw earlier, and the eastern pattern which is the current topic in conversation, it was exotic and wonderful nowadays.
Aurora who was busy with herself thinking about embroidery and clothing in the corner where nobody was and hiding her face behind her fan, wasn’t aware of the sudden uproar jn the platform. Not far from where she stands, something flew in her direction with great force.
“That hurts!”
