Chapter 5: Her Pride

Tang Siyu thought it wasn’t possible for her to be hurt any more than she already was but the moment she heard Tang Yiyi’s words, it was as if someone was crushing her heart to death .

The room suddenly felt suffocating and stuffy . It seemed like she still cared for a little bit, even after all these years . After all, this was the man she had loved her whole life .

Tang Yiyi displayed an arrogant smile, “You, out of all the people, know exactly how high the status of Mu clan is! Now all you can do is look up to me from your lowly status while I become the subject of everyone’s envy . ”

Qiu Lin joined in on the bullying as she pretended to scold her daughter, “Yiyi, why are you associating yourself with her? Mu clan gave up on her long ago! Who would dare welcome a runaway bride?”

Tang Siyu stared blankly at the hellish pair of demons flaunting their status borrowed from the Mu clan . Indeed, the Mu clan was wealthy enough to buy hundred more mansions as the one Tang clan lived in, so even the Tang clan couldn’t hold a candle to them . However, she didn’t care even if the Mu clan could buy the whole world, it had nothing to do with her .

“You don’t need to worry about me . There’s no way I will envy you . After all, I’m the one who dumped Mu Fei . I wish you a happy marriage,” Tang Siyu spoke with a cold smile .

“Tang Siyu, don’t you dare be conceited! When I’ll marry Mu Fei, you’ll realize what a luxurious life I’ll live . At that time, you’ll curl up in a corner and cry with jealousy!”

Meanwhile, a small figure stood at the entrance of the hall with clenched fists, silently eavesdropping on the argument between his mother and the two evil aunties . Tang Xiaoxi originally went for a walk with his grandfather, however, Tang Xiong excused himself to attend an important call .

So Xiaoxi came back to the hall, who knew he would find his mother being bullied like this?

Su Xi woke up just as Tang Siyu and Little Xi reached her spacious apartment .

“Auntie Xi!” Xiaoxi peeked in through the door and called out in a sweet voice .

Su Xi gave him a tight hug and kissed his cheeks, “Baby Xi, I missed you so much!”

“Su Xi! Did you just wake up? What kind of life is a popular star like you living?”

“Cut me some slack, Siyu . I pulled an all-nighter last night and recited lines for my next shoot the whole time! I’m so exhausted I could drop dead right here . Come inside . ”

“Did you have lunch?”

“Ah… Not yet!”

“Okay, what do you have to eat?”

“Haha… Instant noodles, snacks and… Leftover dumplings from last night . ”

Tang Siyu shook her head in exasperation . “How careless . Fine, I’ll cook something for you . So don’t die of starvation!”

Su Xi sat down on the sofa, holding Little Xi in her lap and said, “Okay, I’ll take care of your son until then!”

“Oh, you don’t have to trouble yourself with that . ”
