Chapter 359 - Eyes Wide Open (2)

Lee Gun glared at Olympus’s fighting-type god. An odd killing intent entered his eyes, but it was unclear whether he himself was aware of this or not. 

On the other hand, Hercules couldn’t move his gaze away from Hailey. “Is she really a living creature?”

Feeling his gaze, Hailey tilted her head in puzzlement. She didn’t know what was wrong with this god, so she summoned her sword. She attacked the fighting-type god. 

However, Hercules didn’t fight back. In fact, he moved with Hailey as if he were dancing with her. He looked to be enjoying the current situation. “Ah ha ha! You’re pretty, and your movements are beautiful too!”

Lee Gun became angry when he saw this. What the hell was that bastard doing? He had been about to turn around, yet he came to a stop. 

This puzzled the Constructs within his shadow.

[Master? What’s wrong?]

[You said you weren’t going to face off against the fighting-type god, right?]

Hugo, who was watching the same sight, tilted his head in puzzlement when a voice rang out within his head.

[Hey, Oh Taeksoo.]

“!”

Hugo flinched, while he had his bow drawn. It was Construct Communication. In other words, it was like a wireless message. A Zodiac and their Constructs could communicate with each other through telepathy.

After regaining his Divine status, Lee Gun could use it on Hugo once again. While his Constructs could hear it, this skill consumed Divine power. So, it was a wonder as to why Lee Gun was using this skill.

However, it didn’t take long for Hugo to find out.

[What are you doing? Shoot him. Kill him.]

“What? You want me to shoot that hulk?”

[Yes.]

The answer surprised Hugo. “You don’t want to go after Sagittarius? You’ll be able to pay off your debt in one go.”

Hugo had an attribute called “Perfect Sight.” He had seen the wanted poster being waved by slime. So he said, “That hulk will make you no money right now. It’ll be more efficient to—”

[It’s fine. Just shoot him. He might not be worth anything right now, but I’ll make it profitable to kill him.]

Lee Gun sounded angry for some odd reason.

Hugo furrowed his brows as he looked at Hercules. Hercules didn't know what to do with himself in front of the gorgeous woman. 

Could it be? Hugo’s eyes turned round. “Is it because of Hailey?”

[Nope. He’s just annoying.]

“Annoying? Ah! Is it because he’s attacking an ally?”

[His slack-jawed face is annoying me!]

Hugo’s eyes turned round when he heard that answer. It was subtle, but he was smiling with his eyes. “It’s understandable. Even a god would become slack-jawed and fall for Hailey.”

It had been the case with the Zodiac Saints too. Jean-Louis usually showed no interest in women, and Kevin wasn’t supposed to show any interest in women. Yet both of them had shown interest in Hailey. Before Hugo had met Lee Gun and Jiwoo, he also wanted to have a cup of tea with Hailey.

Of course, Hailey had coldly rejected everyone.

“Stevens had also tried to make a move on Hailey.”

Hugo flinched when he heard the menacing voice. For some reason, he felt like he was going to be killed. Was he mistaken?

As a god amassed powerful Achievements and internal energy, the pressure that their Divine power gave off changed as well. Moreover, a difference in skill existed, depending on how well one used their Divine status. 

That fighting-type god was very powerful.

At that moment, Hercules was surprised. His face had been red, and he had been retreating until now. He looked between Hailey and Lee Gun. “Wait a moment. Do you guys know each other? What is your relationship with each other?”

It was too early to ask such a question. Dumbfounded, Hailey held up her blade. “You aren’t worth speaking to.”

Hearing that, Hercules became serious, as if he had accepted something. “Ah! I understand now. You are a prisoner of that bastard, right?”

“????” Hugo was dumbfounded. 

The fighting-type god sighed as he shook his head from side to side. “I wouldn’t like him either. He’s a stick who can’t even use his power.”

Lee Gun’s eyebrows twitched. He was about to extend his hand in anger when…

Hailey moved first as she kicked Hercules in the face.

“Kuh-huhk…!”

The answer seemed to have hit home more than expected. Hercules clutched his cheek as he looked at Hailey. “He’s a colleague?”

The beast-like Hercules’s hand stabbed toward Lee Gun’s body.

At a glance, it looked like he was aiming for the heart. However, Hercules was actually aiming for the stomach. The move toward the heart was a feint.

As he pretended to aim for the heart, his other hand aimed for the stomach, where Lee Gun’s cores were.

Hercules looked at Lee Gun with surprise. “Hmmph! Your reflexes are excellent.”

Lee Gun had read his attack and grabbed both of his arms.

It was clear that his opponent’s power was strong, but the hands dug into Lee Gun’s body. The reason could have been the Achievement that was a natural enemy to him.

“It does hurt since I don’t have Super Regeneration.”

The surprised Hugo and Hailey tried to attack Hercules.

However, Lee Gun signaled them off as he spat out blood. Clearly, he had engineered this situation. “It seems you’re proud of your impenetrable body, but you lost once you touched me.”

Lee Gun’s eyes flashed as he clenched Hercules’s arms.

This made Hercules laugh. As a fighting-type god who had amassed Divine power and Achievements, he was second to none.

‘I have twelve five-star rank Achievements, and one of them is close to being a 6 star.’

In terms of power, fighting-type gods were leaps and bounds above the other gods. Hercules possessed one of the strongest Divine statuses as a war god, which numbered few.

“What do you plan on doing with those weak hands? It is useless—”

Hercules's eyebrows rose because of the pain. At the same time, he scrunched up his eyes.

Lee Gun’s power had crushed Hercules’s thick bones in his arms.

The other gods were shocked when they heard Hercules’ bones break.

The pillar gods, as well as the gods who had come to capture the pillar gods, were shocked.

The Scorpio Constructs, who had been hiding within her shadow, quickly shouted at her. 

[P-Princess! You shouldn’t!]

[You shouldn’t release your abilities! The gods will immediately rush toward you!]

Hercules furrowed his brows at Hailey’s power.

“Herc-nim! This isn’t the time to do that! Hurry up and get rid of the snake god!”

“The goddesses of fate have helped us!”

“Hurry up and kill the snake god while he cannot use his power!”

Hercules’s eyes turned round. “What? They got involved?”

[Ah! You guys are pissing me off.]

“…!!!”

Hercules flinched and shook when he heard the voice from behind. It was a voice that wasn’t from this world. Feeling the murderous intent, the fighting-type god tried to defend himself.

The frightening power of Death brought Hercules to a halt.

Hercules reflexively felt something from that power.

Hercules got an ominous feeling as he tried to get rid of Lee Gun.

Lee Gun smirked.

Thanks to Hercules, Life was gaining EXP. Raising Death’s EXP was easy since Lee Gun just had to kill. On the other hand, raising Life’s EXP had been hard even on the earth.

Wouldn’t it be beneficial to leave Hercules like this until his EXP was full?

‘I’ll let it stack until I catch the other gods.’

Lee Gun had come to a stop at that moment, and it caused the eyes of the pillar gods to flash.

“This is it. We have to attack when the snake god is injured…!”

At that moment, Hercules sent the pillar gods and the other gods flying.
